The only reason FC and LS have this policy is so they can hold your car hostage if they decide you owe them money. If you carry, you'll need to leave your piece in your car and give your keys to their valet guy, who I'll bet isn't bonded or vetted. No thanks.

I saw a guy that had been puking his brains out in the bathroom from being super wasted; get his keys.
Why not plan a one stop visit? IE drive to the club and back home so you don't need to bring your piece since there will be no other stops? Or why not check for your piece as soon as you grab your car? If it isn't there then you immediately get the cops involved.
I would be more worried about my piece being stolen out of my car across the street. Yeah it means they would need to bust the window, but I doubt someone would notice. That club seems like the place where people would bust into cars to find money or items to sell for drug habits.

They both have $5 cover all the time, and $10 charge for a wristband for the VIP (you can go to the VIP as many times as you want). That's the only charges, no "booth fee" or "coat check" or bathroom troll. No bullshit fees.
Cricket has no valet, and there's no cover during the day. But they charge for a booth and make you check your coat.
My favorites (in order):
1 Bogies (great food, big VIP rooms).
2 Henry 8 (sluttiest girls).
3 Silver Cricket (starting to get a little ghetto).
4 BT (valet but you can park on the street).
5 Flight club (mandatory valet, I'll never go there).
