I didn't get any dances the last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago) so I couldn't tell you if there is a VIP tax now. But I when I was there a couple of years ago there was a tax upstairs and it wasn't that much (5 bucks). I would recommend going for dinner as they have daily specials. Their steaks are some of the best.

If you try any 8mile clubs stay on 8 mile do not go into the neighbor hoods. Probably can google these names and get adresses. But always negotiate up front before VIP.

Sundays at Bogarts, while unpredictable, can be delightful. Often the girls outnumber the custies and that can increase your bargaining leverage. I have found it best to wait for dances until you have seen most if not all of the girls on duty. They will come sit by you but you don't need to pull the trigger until you see one you like and "click" with.

I go to a lot of clubs in Cleveland that some consider to be in bad neighborhoods, but since I know the area it's not a big deal. I'm sure I can handle myself in Detroit, but not knowing the area too well I wanted to make sure I didn't venture off into any clubs in neighborhoods that you pro's would consider to be unsafe, as there area a few like that in Cleveland where white guys at night time just aren't welcome.
