Sorry to hear you didn't consider MB worth repeating
Hello MT.
First, and foremost, accolades to you for having made the effort to investigate an AMP new to you. However, I'm a bit surprised at your list of grievances regarding Moon Blue's Modus Operandi given the numerous prior reports clarifying their methods (including but not limited to their building entry, their generally lacking massage technique performance (s), and their remuneration procedures). More specifically, reports could not be more clear how the HF is expected separately upon arrival and where there's an inevitable pause seeking gifting in advance for extras. In other words (and I'm truly not attempting to begin a debate with you), given you were planning on post-flip extras it surprises me you were surprised by the post-flip pause. Given the drive I'm curious what was more important to you: the massage or post-flip activities? As I'm confident others will agree, if post-flip is your ultimate goal MB provides the best bang for the buck (pun intended). And, per your report, would you not agree they ultimately delivered as expected in that regard (with no interruptions once the extras $ was gifted)?
As for a therapist leaving the room several times during massage I wholeheartedly agree that's annoying. But I also consider it somewhat forgivable in comparison to how I'd feel if the same would have occurred post flip. That would certainly have yielded a complaint to the MMS (and certainly after the second pause I would have left the building). And on that note, I've found the MB MMS's are absolutely interested in client feedback. Had you let her know on your way out about your grievances I would be quite surprised if she would not have offered you some kind of compensation (as in more massage time on your next visit). As you may have read, I once visited seeking a particular promised therapist and the MMS herself gave me a decent massage while I waited. Afterward she confessed my therapist of choice had, allegedly, left the building. So I did the same. And on my way out she reimbursed me the ENTIRE HF. This act on the part of the MB MMS clearly demonstrates how the MB MMS's provide superior customer service. From past experience a massage interruption occurs when oil or towels run low. But three times? I agree: inexcusable.
Lastly, please consider reposting your report on the "Hudson Valley" board where nearly all MB reports can be found? I'm confident others will share my feelings where I'm empathetically disappointed to hear you did not consider MB worth repeat. Like you said, there's no better therapist quality in terms of looks in CT than MB (only 25 minutes away from Downtown Danbury).
Tried MB in NY recently after reading some fairly positive reviews. I gambled and took the 75-minute drive to give it a shot.
First impressions.
This place is part of a busy shopping center there is no discretion going through the front door (there's a subsequent door you have to ring a bell to get inside, but that's shielded once you enter the outside door facing the parking lot.
The girl I saw was. Maybe 30? Cute (better than anything I've seen in CT outside of Tiffany) .average bod. I opted out of the TS as I took care of that beforehand and usually view that as wasted time.
Sadly, the massage was severely lacking. No teasing whatsoever and fairly mechanical. She left the room at least 3 times in the middle of it, which beyond being a major league mood killer, caused a level of trepidation having never been there before and always apprehensive about possible stings.
On the flip, she inquired via hand motions about 'next steps' (wide open menu). Upon agreeing about what comes next (pun intended), She insisted on receiving the additional donation for that up front and made me get up from the table and dig through my pockets another mood killer.
In the end, she delivered on the flip action, but given the drive and really lame massage I won't return.
Unfortunate as I was really hoping this place would deliver. Maybe I just got the wrong girl / day. I don't know. , but it's not worth my effort going back for a re-try.
My 2 cents, Moon Blue in Carmel
I appreciate the review, but the attendant's name is missing, that is very important. I guess we can assume rates and acro's are par for the course.
75 min drive away. Dang, CT is tough for a squirrel to find a nut.
Table Shower. My view is to never skip, keeps everyone clean, can be very fun such as nuru. Could have affected your session.
The batting average for this spa is high, who knows if this unknown attendant is a lemon, having an off day, etc. With asking for tip up front, this goes against the unique "don't discuss and accept tip until the end". New staff or hustlers don't like it for obvious reasons, but this unique tipping makes the spa safer as long as customers do not short change their attendant and the community of customers (by ruin a good thing).
As John has mentioned, the MMS at spa welcomes feedback. In the end, it appears a weak massage and the performance lacked enthusiasm. I am a fan of the spa, and not trying to defend, but for a younger staff, that got the job done, assuming it was a reasonable rate, the experience may compare to the other limited options, as good or better.

Another Moon Blue opinion
I went there a few months after they opened up. First lady was decent looking but service was not so great. What brought me back was the mamasan and her mousey but strangely hot look. I told her I didn't think it was the best time or value. She asked me to come back and try again. I agreed if the session was with her. She laughed but I was serious.
Second time was better but nothing to write home about. (or post here) Again I joked with mamasan about her availability and we joked a bit. I knew it wasn't in the cards though. She gave me a punch card which I find hilarious, and a handful of Chinese candy which were fantastic. My philosophy is if I'm going to drive 25 minutes to this place I'll just drive another 20 and go to New Rochelle.
