Saw her at a notel for the first time a few weeks ago and had no issues. Great skills, awesome body, we got along well. So I called her about a week after that first meeting to see her again. The assistant DA said if they find something in a car with multiple occupants and they can't tie it to one person they don't press charges. I imagine the reasoning is low success in prosecutions in that scenario. It surprised me when they said that, I always thought that if they found something everyone gets charged.

Part of this I also chalk up to the HC prosecutor's office just not being very good. The kid who killed the cop in Clermont a couple years back had charges dropped or ignored by the GJ in Hamilton County and Clermont that should have had him doing many years in prison at the time, rather than killing a cop. Then they plea bargained him down even on that charge. They should invest a little more training and resources on things like that, rather than harassing people for victimless crimes.

The fact that the they said they don't "charge" anyone means their office. The police officer is going to cite everyone and let them the prosecutor figure it out. The other issue is the federal government easing up on "minor" infractions to give those involved in some criminal activity the ability to live a better life later on when they decide to go legitimate. So the hanging fruit happens to be what makes headlines to get more tax money.
