People typically use it to avoid traffic light camera tickets but if a police officer happens to be behind you at night and notices his lights producing a glare on your plate you will get pulled over in a heartbeat. I've even heard of cars being impounded until a replacement tag is installed.
Had a limo business in NY before I moved here. I used it and it works.
I have been planning on getting it for traffic cams but if they do pull you over and he looks at the plate he will be able to see it clearly so he can't ticket you. It's just reflective and cameras can't read it. I hate I delayed because I got another ticket in Wilmington through the red light cam. They sell it in all the car magazines.

It also works for tolls as well.
I think this stuff is a scam. When a police car pulls up at night behind you or any car that reflects a light on you tag will cause the glare and will raise a flag at night or day for the police and you car going to get stopped. This whole thing sounds good but the fact is that your tag has to be clearly visual at all times or you bring a big red flag as to what you are hidding.

Yes there is a outline of the number, but looks like someone photoshoped it and made it blurry. Yes, it's illegal in NC, they have to prove you sprayed on, make sure you are not on camera when you apply,"I didn't know anything was on my tag". If you get caught in traffic cam sting and don't have it on $35 is cheap compared what you owe the city courthouse. The can will do at least 3 cars with some still in the can.

Yes if they have the special lense they can take your tag not your car. Hey it's just a way to fight back at our stupid, money hungry, license to steal government.

They tried about 5 different things to block the camera from seeing the tag and they all did not work. Plate covers are illegal in NC.
License check going on on Hwy 49 North north of 485.
The area in front of the Speedway on HWY29 used to be really popular place for them too.

Don't speed between I-485 and the Speedway! LOL
I would extend that advise on I-485 between Harrisburg Road and US-29 too. State troopers love to nail people in that area. Of coarse none of this has anything to do with getting any pussy unless you are in a hurry to see one of the ladies.

They were stopping everyone had the dogs out sniffing and such.
Wouldn't want one of my fellow mongers having a date with them who might me in possession of something that would get them in trouble.
