Wouldn't overdo it, though. If I can't be comfortable in a club, I'm most likely not going to enjoy it.

The whole discussion makes me laugh. WHY would anyone want to wear sweat pants out in public for any type of "social" or public event" in the first place? Make a very clear statement about yourself. "I just don't care" The same goes for wearing pajama pants out in public. Not saying wearing a suit and tie to go to the store, but come on, show just a bit of self respect.

My wife just bought me some fancy new skinny pants (joggers) made of sweat pants material. I'm in my 50's. I didn't think it fit my old man over-the-hill image I've created for myself. However, I can totally see the advantage of just wearing elastic bands instead of buttons, zippers, and belts. However, there are pants on the market that can easily pass for 'regular' pants that also have a loose and thin accessible feel that are also easy off / on.
BUT with that soft material, you have to be sure to drain yourself completely. I have dripped and left a mark on my pants walking out of the VIP on a few occasions.
I'll try to get back into a club and make a post more fitting to the forum.

While there are some strip clubs masquerading as high-class establishments, the average club is not a social or public event. It's not a place of fine dining (even if they serve food and it's good). It's a place the average guy wants to be comfortable and maybe maximize their contact, ease of access and maybe more.
You got women of all ages wandering around everywhere in leggings (which I don't mind at all). A few guys in joggers won't upset the natural order of the things.

Another pro tip: If you're going to go the sweatpants route, might as well go commando too. It's all about ease of access (I've never run into a stripper that had any trouble with a belt, button, and zipper though).
