But inflation-adjusted personal consumption is at an all-time high and debt as a percentage of income (which is obviously normalized for inflation by its nature) hasn't been lower in recent memory. And, again, within the last five years the bottom quintile of income has improved more in these categories than upper quintiles, relatively.
It's simply an excellent time in America to be a low-income worker. Which doesn't mean there aren't other factors affecting the availability of and access to sugar babies. But when I was in college, I often could not afford to buy a newspaper because I wanted to save that dollar for something else. One of my recent SBs who worked at Starbucks had no problem paying $20 for parking. She wanted my money for luxuries.
The last few years it's easy to find work that fits a college girl's schedule and the pay would be about $30- to $40,000 a year if it was done full time.
