Went by the Waukegan place on Green Bay (boycotting Sunset for now.) they appear to be closed. Went by twice during business hours in the last few days; closed.

Today I called them and their phone is disconnected. Bummer!

And for the heck of it, thought I'd try Fantastic in Lville, been over a year. It too appears to be shut down.

I heard Lester sold the shop to one of his MTs. Kaya. I guess she was not too good at business. Bob.

Moving on, I was looking in BP this morning and saw an ad for a grand opening (aren't they all?) in Vernon Hills, at least by the Zip Code (60061) posted on the ad. I called the phone number twice and got no answer. I just checked back on the ad a minute ago, and they changed the Zip Code to 60047, which is Lake Zurich. No wonder they're not answering the phone. They're probably still driving around in a moving van, looking for a place to set up. The reason I'm mentioning this, I thought maybe the Fantastic gals where looking to strike out on their own. If anyone finds out more, please post it. I was never that big a fan of the place, but they were standard fare for standard price.

One other piece of news. Went to Green Spa in Libertyville a few days ago, another old standby. Massage by Libby was OK, but after that everything was upsell. That which was once included is now tacked on, like asking for whipped cream, nuts and a cherry on top of your sundae. Until I hear different, I'll just get in my car and drive to greener pastures.

Speaking of places closed, "New Life" on Rand Road in Lake Zurich appears to have closed. It was legit (most of the time. YMMV) and overpriced. Maybe that location is where they are relocating to. This ad mentioned the zip code 60047. There's a place called "GEM SPA" that is not to far from there. Mediocre reviews. Also, about 10 years ago there was an Asian Spa near the Northwest corner of 45 & 60. I will make a field trip tomorrow and report back. There will probably be ten guys there. HaHa. Bob.

I doubt it. That New Life place looked a bit too upscale to be advertising on BP. This is what I'm talking about.
