I used to patronize Bella Femina back in the day, as well as a number of the other 'houses" in the Philly area, and also in Manhattan, where I worked for a number of years. Some of the Philly and NY "houses" still operate, usually very quietly in townhomes throughout both cities. They usually had (and still have for all I know) some pretty and skillful talent, although the Philly 'house" pricing was about 3 to 4 times the rate on the K, and the Manhattan pricing was about 6 times or more. After all, the "house" has to get its cut, and the standard sharing for years has been 50/50 at most places, not only in Philly and NY, but around the country. I imagine that the sharing arrangements, and pricing differentials to the K, still pretty much apply. Once I started visiting the Ave quite a number of years ago I realized that one could get almost the same thing, and often the very same thing, for far less by window shopping the K as opposed to visiting a "house." I have never looked back since.

Yes, I remember Cyns as well. There were also a few back on Lombard in the blocks around 7th to 9th. The girls would come out into a lounge area, all dressed in sexy outfits/lingerie, and you would pick one (or two).
The houses in Manhattan had a different approach. You normally were offered a drink, and then the girls came out into the lounge area classily dressed, and you had a chance to make some conversation with them before making a selection. I always thought this approach made more sense than the "lineup without conversation" approach of the Philly houses. I remember one particular experience in Manhattan at my favorite place where there was a new girl, just barely 18, who was working there for the summer before going to college. That was often the case. Many college girls worked there summers and holidays This particular girl was so new she hadn't even yet been "trained" by the house. I asked if I could have her for a session, and the "Madam" (who was only about 30 herself) initially refused, as she said she needed to be trained properly first. Since I was quite a regular there, she finally relented, and allowed me to session with her. OMG, to be the first customer of an 18 year old, totally untrained girl, in a brothel. That was a very memorable and heavenly experience!
The "lineup approach" is also pretty much what they do in the legalized Nevada brothels I have visited. I prefer to talk with them first. That's one of the things I like about mongering. Street radar is one thing, but confirming that with a conversation is always worthwhile. Attitude is everything, and it is amazing what you can discover in a brief chat about a girls' personality.
One thing that was never available nor permitted in the "houses" was photography. This is another great thing about mongering. You aren't dealing with a bunch of "protocol control" or rules. It is just you and she and what you two agree to do.

My "house arrest" has been lifted. I am no longer on moderated status, and I can edit my posts. I still can only post and reply in my own threads, but that probably is just as well. The reasons for this have been fully explained to my satisfaction.

The beauty is that there are so many SWs on the stroll at most hours of the day or night, that you can usually always find something very acceptable without the necessity of having a "shopping list."
I wasn't sure if you meant the travel cost here or the SW expense. SW fees here are pretty reasonable, especially compared to using a MP or escort service or ordering a girl on line. But Fbtom's advice would indicate that cheap air fares are available.

well just from judging the pics in the Philadelphia section you have a much better chance of finding a semi attractive girl than we do in Rockford. The OK looking ones in Rockford are few and far between and I am convinced they vanish off the streets after finding a sugar daddy or two.
I however am not good sugar daddy material. My can't afford it comment was not the trip expense or the Philadelphia SWs price, but theb fact the cost of picking up girls locally is stretching the budget, I am self employed and not finding any work so been living off the bank account for the past few months. Dont get to be laid off and collect unemployment. Things should pick up a bit with the better weather but I suspect not enough to splurge on a trip out east.

We DO have some of the finer if not THE finest strolls in the country. I always thought of the K as an excellent "playground" in this regard, but now that I have also discovered Camden (what was I THINKING not to just cross the river for some fun all these years!), there are just too many good possibilities for one monger to get his fill for a LONG time.
I have come to realize the interesting nature of psychological barriers that are reinforced by physical barriers, no matter how small they actually may be. Broadway seems a world apart from the K in many ways. It is only across the Delaware but it looks very different; it feels very different. Most of the SWs who I have encountered there are only very vaguely aware that the K exists, or that there is anything in Philly even remotely resembling Broadway. When the subject comes up they are only too eager to discuss it, and want to hear the comparisons, and my take on the girls on the K versus the girls on Broadway. I am sure there are mongers in the same camp, either who troll Broadway and/or the K. I am a prime example of a long-time monger who thought it doesn't get any better than the K so why cross the physical and psychological barriers of the unknown to at least get a look, literally, at the other side of the river?
I found yesterday on Broadway the gem of all gems in my entire history of mongering. My experience with her was so awesome that I am afraid any attempt of mine to convey that to you in words will fall far short of how it FELT. It was physically satisfying to be sure but it was truly a spiritual exploit as well. In my mind, attitude is so important in a SW (after the obvious given of cleanliness, as we have discussed before), and if she is pretty and has a hot body, that's a huge bonus. If she is sweet, or genuinely shy, or even freaky, and accommodating that can dramatically enhance the quality of the date. But what can one possibly say when one finds a diminutive version of what one only could imagine Marilyn Monroe would have been like to experience in private? We can see a glimpse of Marilyn's captivating screen personality, but imagine a perfect spinner SW variant, improbably walking Broadway, and one comes close to the brilliantly sparkling Leigh. Before writing my report and posting her pics I looked her up in the South Jersey forum and I saw no reports, not even a reference. I found this incredulous, unless a few mongers wanted to keep her a secret, which I can well understand. All I can say is that my forthcoming report will make a poor attempt to share with you the nirvana SW encounter of my life. However, her pics will speak for themselves. You are in for a taste of the most unbelievably wonderful mongering experience of a lifetime.

Since publishing this report it was asked of me in a PM by Hoe Hunter, and confirmed by me by PM reply, that the two pics in a report he posted previously were of the same SW I had mentioned as a "coming attraction," but she had not been identified by name. His observations pretty much line up with my forthcoming report. I just "tend" to be far more verbose in both text and pics :D :

In a recent response to Fbtom's frustrations with a few SWs, Cooky, you outlined a few things with which I have typically disagreed. However, I have reconsidered after reading your thoughts on the matter.
I like Tom too, as you have said you did as well. I have never met him, but I have gotten to sort of "know him" through his posts here and PM information we have exchanged. As you stated, he seems a decent fellow. When someone like Tom starts spouting off really negative things about a particular SW experience, you know that he feels strongly about it. When you read that he has changed his mind completely about being a nice guy to SWs, you know that this incident REALLY got to him.
We all can have a tendency sometimes to take all of this too seriously and too personally. It's a hobby. Cooky, you have called it a "game." We don't need to get all hung up over the words or labels but it isn't, as Cooky rightly pointed out, a dating service. We aren't exactly looking for SO material. We want to spend within our budgets for a reasonably good time. That for me usually means NSA, and I prefer to keep it that way. If I do something especially nice for a SW, then, fine, I choose to do so. If I have a GFE, then that's warm and nice. But I can have just as fun a time in a wild, unemotional, good old fashioned hard FUCK.
Cooky is right to this degree in my view: play the "game" to get what you want. They will play the 'game' to get what they want. I have been guilty of not always keeping that in mind. Have fun playing the game. Otherwise, why bother? Try to find SWs that appeal to you, get your cock sucked, fuck to your heart's content, even take pics if you are so inclined :D. But don't sweat the small stuff. Life is too short. And there are many different honeys on the Ave and on Broadway to satisfy even a voraciously horny monger such as I with an almost unending variety of great experiences.
SuperE & CJ are right. I was getting too involved in some of these girls lives.
It would be unfair to Staci, the SW where I started to mention becoming jaded, to seemingly pin blame on her specifically. She was just one of six girls of which I had some bad experiences pretty close together in time.
Some of the treatment was simply using me for car rides using up my gas, and time. Which is sometimes hard to explain to my long term GF.
It even got to the point where I had their mothers asking me where their daughters were at and what they were up to. Too close for my comfort anyways!
So now, I will still treat them with respect, but with more defined boundaries in regards to my generosity and involvement.

I have heard that she uses a number of different street names. One of them might even be her real name. Who knows? Your experience makes sense though. For me to have been the first one ever to discover and report about this gem would have been like discovering gold in California in 1849: way too good to be true. You have mentioned that you dated her, and Hoe Hunter got some pics of her which he recently posted. Any of you mongers remember the old Golden Touch around the corner from Bella Femina? I had some good times there in the early 90's. One night I managed to visit 3 times AND total my mother's Dodge Caravan. Ahh. The hell I raised.
