Does someone actually think they can sit at a strip club without buying a drink or food at least every hour or so?? Nobody can be that naive can they?
I will take the other side of this conversation.
I have twice been harrassed about buying drinks at a strip club. Each time I complained to the manager that I didn't like that treatment and left. I told him that I was certain it was not important to him but I brought money to spend and would be taking my business elsewhere. Also both times it happened to me the club was at least half empty. I might have understood if it was packed and I was taking up space but that was not the case. I think the waitresses are bored and hustle for more tips. I did not return to that club for many months, although I ultimately did return both times.
I normally spend 4 to 5 hours in the club when I go, because I am hoping to visit the VIP twice and I need about an hour between my sessions.
I never order food because my equipment doesn't work well right after I eat.
I typically buy a drink and don't drink much of it for however long I am there. After my first VIP session I am usually in need of fluid replacement and finish my drink and order a second one. If I do second VIP I repeat that process an order a 3rd drink. I will occasionally buy drinks or shots for a dancer if I know and know she performs better with more alcohol in her, or if I am between sessions and not through my recovery period. I end up buying dancer drinks or shots on about 1 out of every 4 visits.
However many night the girls I want to go with choose other guys first, or we negotiate but can't reach a mutually acceptable price. I have often sat in the club nursing one drink for 4 hours or 2 drinks for 5 hours.
Do not think the expectation to by a drink every hour is reasonable or necessary. I get asked frequently if want another drink and I politely decline. I also will say I am waiting for so and so to come out of the VIP and I will get another drink after she and I go to the VIP. I find once the waitress thinks you are not an easy Mark, they move onto the next guy. The strip club is a buyer beware environment. Everyone will hustle if they get the chance.
I will acknowledge that you guys who buy drinks every hour are better customers than me. My money should still be good there, and I am often a repeat customer. I also agree the club is entitled to make a decent profit off me, and that is why I pay 8 dollar for soft drink. It is not to buy many many drinks.

MM.
But I will add that a good tip on the first drink will usually exempt you from any future harassment.
Outside of the beer questions, has anyone have anything to report? Especially on these nice, sunny days.
I've had good experiences with the valet at Fc and bt's in recent times. We can talk about what we should expect from the valet.
But I will add that a good tip on the first drink will usually exempt you from any future harassment.
This is my way, too.
Since I am a infrequent visitor to Bogarts I have not had this said to me. Maybe if I went more or at busier times it would happen. I nurse my beer for about a hour because I don't want to have issues when I drive. Certain times the waitress will be back every quite frequently, so I just tip her close to the cost of the drink. Usually only need to do it once, and no more issue. Also, a $20 to the right waitress will get girl sent over that may be a hidden gem.

Same guys are at FC and treat me well. I also throw them a $20 every time.

In a cash driven service industry, tipping will take you much further at every turn in a strip club. Don't be stingy. Think of it as access fees. And the better you tip (within reason), the more the ladies will notice. If you don't think that they all talk to each other, (waitresses, floor staff, strippers) you're crazy. I even tip the private area guy at Bogies. The ladies notice that too. They may be hired pussy, but they're still people. Being generous (again, within reason) has it's advantages in perception. Kinda like being a dick to a waitress because something was wrong with the meal. Don't be a strip club Karen and people will take note.
If the heavens and stars ever line up and Laurie happens to ever return to bogarts, can some one message me pleeeeaaassee! LOL.
I know she is along shot to come back but ya never know.
Thanks.

It's a way of showing gratitude that come back to you with regularity, and all of the various employees notice your effort.

There are two guys and girl that seem to work there for at least the last 5 years probably longer.
They are always polite, helpful and efficient (I see them running to get cars when they take your ticket). I had also had several short conversation with them if no one is waiting to retrieve their car after me.
Most places not necessarily strip clubs, I find the valets turn over all the time, and are often rude, and numerous times I got the sense they rifled through my glove compartment or console. In my coin drawer I always keep the pennies on top and several time I have returned and the pennies have been moved.

I worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years, and I am big believer that tips are earned, not given simply because you exist.
I tip the valet $2.
I tip the waitress $1 or $2 depending on the service. If she is quick to bring me the drink she is more likely to get $2. If she brings the wrong drink or tells me they can't make a drink they have made for me before that is smaller tip. Lastly I usually pay with a $20 bill. If she takes forever (which happens more than you think) to bring change, she gets a smaller tip. I will tip more than $2 if she does something unusual that earns the tip. I was had a waitress come up to me and say I noticed you usually like skinny dancers, there is a new one that started today, would you like me to ask her to come join you. When she pointed this girl out to me, I agreed and I gave her a $5 tip for that. I have also had waitress volunteer information about dancers who I like if they are in good or bad moods and if the waitress saw some of my buddies in the club earlier today or yesterday. I will usually give a tip for receiving this information.
I do not tip the VIP guys unless he gives me some special service. I once had a conflict with a dancer and he backed my side of the problem. The next time I was in the club, I tipped him and said I remembered his help. I have also wanted a specific VIP room and I will tip for that. But 99% of the time I don't tip this VIP guy.
I do tip the bathroom attendant $1.
I know you wrote in the post tipping with in reason, and reason is the important word. Sure dancers notice when you over tip. And they expect to charge you more, and a big tip from you also. I am not trying to attract that kind of attention. If you offer her a decent price for dances she will take you. And if she does something special or if we are in the VIP for an extended period of time, I will give a tip. I hate when dancers ask for tips and that makes me far less likely to give them a tip. Tips are earned with the performance and exceeding my already high expectation. I do tip girls regardless of them asking for a tip if they earned it, but I find about 2 out of 3 girls that I tip never ask for the tip. We both know she did a good job and I want to tip her. In contrast dancers who ask for tips typically know they didn't earn it, and the majority of girls who ask me for a tip don't get one. If the girls asks and she did deserve a tip, I try to help her and tell her that I don't enjoy being asked for tips and in the future if she wants to keep receiving tips I suggest she doesn't ask me again, but earn it by pleasing me.
I do agree there is no need to be a dick to a waitress or a dancer or anyone else. That negative energy tends to come back to you. When I decline to tip some one I always do it politely.

I feel like I am posting too much and will try to be more quiet.

Thanks.
You and me both, brother. But I would venture a guess that if she's been gone this long, it's a done deal. Her kid is getting older, too.
Little birdie told me that she occasionally comes in to drink and visit old friends at Bogies. But not to work. So there's that.
