Paying for time is not a crime. If you never ask for sex and she never says you're getting sex in return for the money, then sex was never solicited. Granted most defendants fold and confess, but actually proving the crime requires proving that there was a discussion of what the money is for.

Charged, yes. Convicted? Maybe not of the initial charge, but if you think you are getting away with a dismissal rather than a plea to a lesser charge, you are crazy. When you show up at a hotel room to see a girl, and you lay cash on the table, and begin to undress (even if you don't) that is very much solicitation, and very easy to prove, particularly to a jury. And "paying for time" can very well be a crime, because the person collecting the fee is definitely not reporting the taxable income, is she?

I was arrested for DUI a few years back and even though I was not convicted, This magazine will post you based on what your charged with. DUI on Saturday by wednsday everyone at work had a magazine with my mug shot. Everyone picked up from dui to soliciting was in there. Not a very pleasant experience let alone being in there for soliciting or whatever else they decide to add on.
