Korean Bar Reports

Man I was hurting also today. I ended up only working half a day because I was feeling sick. I started off the night at Neco's in McCully shopping center the old Auon's. Nice chill place with Japanese food and iichiko bottles for $40 they also serve sake, mixed drinks, and beers like any other bar. After drinking there headed to the Kbars and found some familiar faces out and about. First saw Ninja at Butts and walked over with him to International where Oldee and Chibi was. After getting a couple of drinks at International went over to Ellie's for bit and also checked out 74. Most of the bars were pretty slow then again I didn't go out till about 11 pm which on a Sunday is when the usually start emptying out. Then ended up at EG to end the night drinking and talking tactics with Oldee, Ninja, and Chibi till closing time which like Chibi isn't a good idea when you work the next day. It was fun night but I will need a couple days to recover so won't be going till maybe Wed or later this week.

I have no idea how you guys can go out every night and drink the night away! In my younger days, maybe once or twice a month, I would stay out until 4 am and get to my office by 9 am or 10 am. My brain was really fuzzy and I had to have the strongest coffee known to man to survive the day.

Lot of good advice here on relationships bros. However I think my second "guess" in the tactics thread was the wrong word and an understatement. I stand by my review of the 2 daytime bartenders (Seji and Miki) they on Friday to Monday from 1 PM-8 PM if any of you guys check it out let me know by posts if they ok or not, but please don't stiff them, bars have changed, so the pupu you getting is out of their pocket so leave some! This for the youngsters if they ask if you like eat no get wise and say it's not on the menu, just tell them yes and what do you have? Food is out of pocket so leave some tip!! Those of you who speak a little Japanese this will help anyway go check it out and let me know been awhile since been going back to the KB.

I getting old so I don't think 4 AM is a feasible action boy you sure are a glutton for punishment. You the man! LOL.

Haha, I did check 74 too but you made the mistake of assuming I wouldn't come and didn't check the forum soon after you posted. It was just a passing thought on your part right?, LOL. I would have only intererupted your LVB night anyway. J / K. As for your advice on the day bartenders at Ellie, I disagree small kine. Why say yes to pupu if you really don't want any? Just tip according to what you think the service and food is worth too. Also, contrary to popular belief, tipping 30% or more of your tab at KBs is not in any etiqutte rule book that says you cheap if you don't. No? How much you tip for 1 beer? How about if you got peanuts? Didn't we have this convo before? LOL. Just teasing you G-O bro to remind you I never forgot you and your posts. Sat with any KBGs at 74? Bought any nekos? LOL.

They left nothing had their beer and ran like the wind. Guess they didn't have kala and that's ok. 1 drink pay my way leave $2, if rabbit food usually leave $5 and up they also usually have some kine fruit. Eating healthy in old age. Even made me my old favorite (Crystal Palace days) sashimi and topshell. These girls try to please. Oldee they pretty new and green and they trying to bring in customers instead of driving customers away. That's the difference, with these two kind of refreshing after getting snubbed at several bars (shorts polo shirt). Retired uniform. Eh! KBG's don't judge a book by it's cover you could learn a few things from these new girls at Ellie's Oh! BTW never tip 30% only 20%. LOL. The day they got stiffed.

I thought she retired but was told before was helping Ellie before the junk mama but she hasn't done anything to me yet so to me she still mama. Oldee. Neko's guess I am warming up to the LVB status again. Pabo. Land. What's that saying "there is no fool like an old fool" been awhile since I saw anything that caught my eye (14 years plus) you can check it out, if you don't eat just leave a dollar or not. Thanks for letting us know about the daytime Ellie bartenders. We need more of those kine working KBs. As far as them getting stiffed by the young guys, yeah that sucks and unfortunately happens now and then. The good news is this. Overall bartenders make out when you average out all thier customers with the stiffers included which doesn't happen that often so I wouldn't worry too much for them G O. There are plenty daytime granpa LVBs buying nekos for bartenders at most KBs. Young guys usually get bad service daytime at KBs BTW. Some get same bad service night time too depending on looks and vibes they give off. KBGs generally tend to judge the younguns with 2 types of bias. Its funny because thier reps are either free spending LVBs or no class just take up space wannabes. They tend to run in packs too for courage, LOL. No in btweens! I suspect that what happened to the daytime girls at Ellies is more a rare occurance as most bartenders wouldn't even offer them food daytime. You forgot one thing G O. How does these 2 at Ellies look? Good? LOL. Anyway, I hope they do well and will probably check them out later. If you say they good I believe you.

From what I saw it was slow all around. Started off in Kalihi at the Wakaimilo block every place was a bit slow. Then went to Neco's in McCully shopping center to try out some Yuzu iichiko which was light and easy to drink. Then headed to Kapiolani area mainly went 74, popped my head into Ellies, and then settled at EG. Not much to really report even EG was pretty slow. Ran into a familiar face there and was talking story with him. I need sleep now though since its early in the morning and I just got home. Seems like some female bartenders have changed bars. Might have to also check Ellie's a bit earlier if I can wake up that time. I also got go check La vein Rose if anyone up to check out a Jbar let me know I'm going to stop by tonight for bit. I'll be out later tonight but I really need sleep now so that I can make it out tonight.

LOL.[/QUOTE]Pretty much that. Was a fun night regardless. Most of my bar experience after was just trying to sober up. Went to splash for a little bit and quite drink. Remembered why I don't go as much these days and left shortly after. Made the walk down to EG and sat at the bar, certain girls constantly busy while others just in the booths on their phones. Overall looked pretty slow. Dragon arrived a little later and talked with him for a bit. Well dragging again today, I'm going to need a nap after work if I want to do it again tonight.

FYI. Yujin currently daytime BT at Cozy will move to Spotlight (I think she already does floor some nights) at the end of this week. She plans to partner with Julie for daytime bartending on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs. Candy Mama seems to be getting a good crew together.

Sorry about that: Miki is Korean say mid thirtyish fair complexion ok looks (maybe younger I am so bad at guessing women's ages especially with the war paint on) and Seji is Japanese-Korean ok looks darker complexion (loves the sun)) they look ok but nothing stunning but Seiji reminds me of Michelle from Bodaiju and Lia from the old Sheridan street except this one can't sing. Last I saw Lia was at Donna's in Kalihi before she moved to Vegas. Boy giving away my age. As you say Oldee go check it out you can critique my tastes in women which zzzzz I already know is bad. LOL.

I'll be there Monday since Seji celebrating her first birthday in the bar only worked couple months so no real customer base so if you guys in the area between 1-8 PM if you can show face no need buy Neko but would like to fill the bar and sing Happy Birthday about 6 to 7 pm or earlier if she gets inebriated. I will pick up some Sashimi and Top shell so come early not my fault if run out. She not my girlfriend, but after finding a bartender I like I would like her to have some pleasant memory of her first bar birthday. I also going pick up cake probably Chantilly and some Ice Cream (Mangoes and Cream?) The kitchen mama coming in early at 1 pm to help out so going get food what kind I do not know. I asked after but she had left for whatever reason had another Miki there at Butterfly but not the one you looking for, she is a good cook. Sorry Brother this Miki not the one like I said they Green and relatively unspoiled yet but get her going and your Jacksons going flying out your wallet like no tomorrow. If you speak Japanese they both fluent. Better than mine.

We all at a disadvantage dealing with these girls anyway if you can make it swing by didn't realize so many guys monitor this web site but yeah the more brothers the better and if run out before you come in I apologize before hand.
