Just visiting. But thanks
You know if you think about it, they could arrest every couple in the state accusing them of having some agreement in place and make them prove otherwise! They could probably arrest all of America under that statute. Every man in a relationship in western society is a john in some way shape or form, its just a matter of how transactional it is. Gestapo is an understatement, and the general public for actually believing their bullshit is a bigger problem then the gestapo themselves. On a side note, I am considering retirement in OH as well, in addition to Canada, here is an interesting article as well, only a few hours away https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/2021/01/consensual-sex-work-decriminalized-in-washtenaw-county-following-policy-change.html.
Going to pass this on.
Thats the difference between me and most
Bear in mind everyone, while a charge against you may be weak and not stick, and the Prosecutor won't even devote 5 minutes to it before throwing it away for lack of evidence, all while you technically did nothing wrong and covering your bases in what you say and type. You can easily be arrested in one of these targeted enforcements for a b. S charge. And they fully know the charges will not stick, but. You will be arrested and publicly humiliated. Subsequently, your life long "charge" will amount to. Your name and mugshot in the newspaper, social media, Google searches, and whatever other public forum is available for all of your family, friends, co-workers, employers, enemies, future girlfriends, etc. To see and cause you anguish for the rest of your life. Ask yourself, what's worse. A $500 misdemeanor fine, or, a news story on your name that said you went to seeking.com. , STG, etc. And was meeting someone for "drinks" and got arrested. All they need is a public humiliation to serve as a deterrent to other men.
Yea I personally wouldn't really care. What matters is what the result is in court. If my job fired me and I was found innocent or reduced I would have a hell of a lawsuit and could live off the dole for a while. Arrest me for meeting a woman at a gas station or bar for drinks? Good luck to them. If it got brought up in a job interview I have a way with words and can definitely talk my way into a job after I explain about how I was wrongfully arrested for taking a woman to a restaurant for drinks and dinner. For the guys who have never done this before and are married? Or give a shit what peoples opinion of them is? Yea theyd be pissing their pants. But most of them walk right into the pigs operation not suspecting a thing. But guys like myself weve been preparing for that moment for many many years, I expect to have cuffs slapped on me even if I'm going to see a woman I've seen before for years. Therefore I take precautions, such as locking my wallet in my glove compartment / leaving it at home and only taking what I'm prepared to lose and my DL. When you go into it with that mentality, do some research, and take precautions, your odds go down significantly. That being said I've been mongering less ever since the law changed, I was mongering as much as I could right before the statute took effect in April haha. I do want to see the case results of the recent Akron sting before I consider anything else to see if reduced charges will still be a thing.
Retirement still seems on the horizon anyway in OH, the bigger deterrent for me is just how dry its been out there, only women that are decent looking are set ups and robberies it seems. I'm looking to take trips to other states at this point where the laws are becoming more lax or Vegas for that matter.
In case you missed this story
31 Northeast Ohio residents arrested between May 18 and May 22.

Lets be careful out there.
Maybe they could leave a bag of money
If the cops left a bag of money next to the sidewalk they could probably catch many bad people who pick it up and keep walking. This could serve as a public service.
