The network could be a mesh. I highly doubt they are storing the video on the camera. All video is being fed back to a central server of some sort for storage and access. The cops will access the camera via the network connection. Likely an EVDO connection trough a cell phone carrier. They could be using a cell phone connection to backhaul the video to the server however this becomes very expensive quickly. Every other city video implementation I have seen to date uses PtP technology to backhaul. Then again the city of Camden could have more fiber then one might think.

I have observed the camera on Broadway and Roydon (?). That may be Camden City, or it could also be COOPER Hospital. I am also aware of the one at MLK and BWAY. If you listen to Camden City Police Radio traffic this one is very obvious. I will have to take a closer look for the others.

BTW. Google stop light sensors. They do exist and at one time private citizens could buy a device that would allow you to change the light from Red to Green. It shoots a wireless signal to a sensor typically mounted at the intersection. My "Thesis" isn't nonsense. The Technology exists.

If the devices on the light cross arm is a camera it has an extremely narrow horizontal field of view.

Not saying they are not there, but based on observation and listening to police radio traffic they don't overly concern me.

Let's definitively get back to the subject of this thread! I picked up Kelly around 1 AM. Wed. Morning near the ex gas station near Line. She's a pretty WSW, about 5'3 120, 25-30. Over on the nearby Philly forum, there was a lot of discussion- useful and necessary discussion. About the Kennsington strangler when he was on the loose. Over on the AC forum, there is often discussion about why the SW scene suddenly dried up after the AC stranlger and would the scene ever return to normal (it did not).

ALL of this is part of the topic.

The fact that there were many posts about the cameras in Camden show there was some interest in the topic. Its not FAR OFF topic like a discussion of fashion or weather (which, by the way, IMHO, can be very much part of the topic when the hot waether brings out the short shorts and the mini skirts). Also, lets not forget who brought up the camera subject with an open call for discussion becasue he wanted to find out more. It was CJ. Hey, are you going to tell HIM to get back on topic? He posts more pics and more useful information than almost all other posters combined. So when someone asks him what he pays or what agreement he makes, are you going to tell HIM to get back on topic?

One more point: Traffic on the forum even if its slightly off the topic keeps the board active and keeps us reading which brings more mongering reports and benefit all of us. So how about a little patience?

Drove Broadway about 6pm Sunday. Quite a few women out, including a couple of very healthy, good-looking ones around the triangle. One nicely dressed, hot young brunette seemed TGTBT. I was going to turn the corner and come back around to take another look but saw a few more a couple blocks further so I kept going and ended up driving all the way down to Morgan which was deserted except for a blonde in pink sweat pants at the corner. I was cruising down Broadway the other night when I spotted a pretty Hispanic SW walking down Broadway wearing a summer dress with another guy.
