Stay away from Magic Spa on Buckeystown. Came out of the gym yesterday and saw they were being raided.
I was there about three weeks ago, but haven't heard anything.
https://www.wfmd.com/2022/11/02/human-trafficking-prostitution-network-dismantled-in-frederick-county/
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says it's dismantled a human trafficking and prostitution network, and arrested a Bethesda woman. Huiping Hester, 52, was taken into custody during the operation on Friday. She is charged with 14 prostitution counts and two sex trafficking offenses.
Authorities say they began an investigation after receiving citizen complaints about suspicious activity at two spas: the Calla Spa at 3518 Worthington Boulevard in Urbana, and YiYi Spa at 178 Thomas Johnson Drive, Suite 204, in Frederick.
Through investigations and extensive surveillance, the Sheriff's Office says it developed enough probable cause to obtain search warrants.
"Extensive surveillance."
Stay away from Magic Spa on Buckeystown. Man, really there were no shooting, holdups, robberies to keep you guys busy. I suppose thw average Asian doesn't put up quite the fight as some drunk / high dude.
$5. 00 says it was a tip from the concerned citizens at Two Sister's, 1 floor below YiYi.
I knew it was a matter of time at Calla. That place was to close to nosy neighbors.
If you look at the FredCo Sheriff Dept post on Facebook, in the replies there is a woman who claims to have documented people going in an out of Calla. I think that she worked near there. There are threats about her releasing pictures, but my guess is that nothing will happen as it would like bring about a ton of defamation lawsuits as it only shows people entering or leaving, not don't anything illegal. Not trying to frighten anyone (I'm not worried), just wanted everyone to have the info.
I'm not trying to scare anyone either but that karen could post her video with no fear of defamation. There is no "reasonable expectation of privacy" in a public place. Inside the facility would be different but, think about it, there are literally cameras on every street corner these days. The reverse psychology of the "I was only there for a legit massage" is for them to say if that's the case then you have nothing to hide. Bottom line is that the video does nothing to implicate anyone on it of illegal activity, but it DOES do something for the wives of the guys on the video. All that said, karen probably won't release it for fear of retaliation, would be my guess.
