Did you talk with anyone or did they live a voicemail. I have not had this happen but blocking them, as you posted in the other thread is the way to go. If they are legit then they will call from another number. If that is the case, ask for the officer's name (not the badge number) and station. Then google the station to see if the number matches and call and ask for that officer. If that officer exists, you could say that you received a voicemail about something but the voicemail was jumbled. But as I say all of that, I would just ignore it and continue to block any numbers. As LDS said, if this was real, they'd know where to find you in person. Cops aren't showing up to people's houses or work about this stuff. If they want to bust you, they use a sting operation.

Giving a warning on this. Contacted several days ago and received a response several hours later after I was drained by another provider. She sent me a pic later and I was reminded of my original interest. I received a text at a strange hour of the night from the number giving a much marked down donation and the option of in or outcall. Since it was late night / early morning, I decided on outcall. B.Not to mention that if the scammers are located in another country, what we think is barely anything is a really really good lifestyle in that region. The next day before we met she texted a me that it needed to be electronic, paid before we met. Not a f'ing chance. Went round and round, "I didn't trust her", she swore she'd be there, etc. Nope.
Not to mention that if the scammers are located in another country, what we think is barely anything is a really really good lifestyle in that region. So definitely worth the time they put into the scams. Running into them so often now is so annoying but will not go away if people keep actually sending them the deposits.

Got robbed at gunpoint by this one.
Gave an address on Custer Ave in Evanston and got robbed by a guy with a ski mask in front of the building's entrance.
