There are a number of boards that cover this area. Pleae RTTF. The places mentioned are in the north of your search area.

You could head out to U-Massage (closest), or Blue Ocean (next closest, but mentioned above), or Golden Gate (just around the corner from Blue Ocean). If you read the Orlando-Central Florida AMP thread, you can also hunt for references to "you-massage" (the editor on this board often performs "courtesy" translation of "U" to "you", even when you don't want it to), or "GG" (shortname for Golden Gate).

Has anyone been to the AMP's around SRQ Airport lately to know if there is anything good out there? As many of us have lamented, with the departure of Amy and Lisa-Hannah from Sun Aroma-Asian Spa over on 15th Street (east side of airport), the pickin's in the area have gotten rather slim. Sandy at Beyond 2005 is always a dependable and reliable girl, but she's rather plain to look at and one can only do her so many times before the urge for variety creeps in (oddly, I seldom got that same urge when I could see Lisa-Hannah time after time).

Among the places I'm wondering about is VIP Sauna, just north of Beyond 2005, but EVERY time I went there it was pretty bad so I wrote them off my list (ugly and uninspired attendants). Then there's the American place, Fusion 41, on the east side of Tamiami Trail adjoining the airport property (last time I was there it was all skanky looking meth-heads and strung-out uglies), and Japan Sauna almost across the street from Fusion 41 (I haven't been to Japan Sauna in over a year, but it was typical for the area, at 80+120 per hour for FS with attendants that were fair to average looking).

I've seen the reports on AA Massage across from Goodwill, a bit south of the airport on Tamiami Trail, and those reports don't inspire me to venture in there at all. A bit further north is Royal Spa (actually in Bradenton), but I've been in there once and it was perfectly HORRID, which has since been reconfirmed by others more recently, so I'm not making THAT mistake again!

Interestingly, I noticed that the American shop, Royal Relaxation on Whitfield Ave, seems to be CLOSED now, and that place had been around for over 10 years (according to one old-timer's report a while back), but I wouldn't consider going in there anyway, having made the mistake of doing so a few times in the past.

I'm also not inclined to go back into the two places on Gulf Gate Drive (Siesta Key Massage and the Orange storefront a few doors down), nor Hongshun Spa all the way down on Bee Ridge, all due to the much higher tip prices they demand (not when I can spend that same amount in Tampa or Pinellas for much better looking super-hot-gorgeous-knock-outs).

Of course, venturing WAY north of SRQ into Bradenton, Star Sauna (aka Star 26 in their BP ads) is probably the most reliable I can think of. Current ads are touting Kimmi and Suzy, both of whom I've seen and would recommend if you're going that far north, but I'm still interested in some variety and hoping to find something as good as those two in the SRQ area.

Decided to venture a little further south to check out a couple of place based on reviews on another site.

First stop was about a week and a half ago. Stopped in Paradise Spa in Nokomis. Nancy answered the door which was the provider I was looking for. If that's really the case, I have two thoughts about it. . . First, I really appreciate that she would do that, but, second, I'm not real thrilled about the girls gouging the house either. The potential problem with "somewhere else" may be that pricing may be on the way up at other places too. The AMP's at Mead, HongShun, and the two on Gulf Gate are already trying (not always succeeding) to get 160 tip on top of 80 house fee, and those girls, while better than 40-50 year old "ladies" are still not the caliber of the super-hotties in Tampa and Pinellas that command that same rate, nor do they perform in the same outrageously nyphomaniacal manner that the young girls do at Golden Gate, Blue Ocean, and (to a slightly lesser extent) U Massage in Orlando.

I stopped back into Sun Spa last Friday (May 25) at opening time of 10 am and Mamasan greeted me once again. It's always nice to know that they have a steady enough stream of business to assure they don't close down for lack of traffic, thereby also assuring that they'll at least BE there when I want to go! On the other hand, maybe they each made SO FREAKIN' MUCH MONEY that they were able to 'retire' from the business earlier than any of us wanted! That's something to ponder!

Following MrBill469 reports, I decided to give Sun a try. At one time it had been my "go to" place, but the quality had fallen off.

Called first to make sure not busy and was assured so, but just my luck someone was walking in their door when I drove up.

Anyway, probably due to the favorable reports, they found it necessary to get another gal on duty. I did meet Sharon, who gave me a table shower. MrBill's reports about her were spot on. Well if I keep this up I will be broke soon. I ventured out again and thought about one of the airport area AMPs. It's a little late. On Nov. 3rd I had a dream. Here are some of the highlights of my visit, in chronological order:
