Wyatt,
Yep, there were quite a few parlors in that area. One in nearly every trailer park on that side of town. Then there were one or two in the industrial park on Ajo between Irvington and Country Club.
My mom and dad's neighbors son was a deputy in the PCSO in those days, working that area. I rode with him as an "observer" on night. We stopped and visited a couple of the establishments. Fortunately none that I was known at. :D
I recall one of the down sides to number of palors. When the raids came down, they found a 16 year old girl working in one of them. She lived in the same trailer park and like you, must have met one of the ladies heard about the money and went to work.
Oh well, "those were the days my friend, we'd thought they'd never end"
I tried counting visits the other night, kind of like counting sheep. So many, I fell asleep. :( Or am I just getting old(er)?
