What streets was this around? I drove by night at 11pm and it was pretty empty.Looks like it was just south of 48th street. Sometimes it hit and miss. Most mornings around 5am til sunrise theres a group there.

By the 10 freeway, north to about Pico. Then south below the 10 you see pockets around 27th. 36th, below King then between Slauson and Gage. I saw a car load of guys throw 2 booze bottles at a group of girls at 51st. It was later after 1am. The girls I saw around Pico / Venice were LBB familiar faces. Trolled the western track last night. Action started at the 40 block straight thru to Manchester. Saw 3 Leo between the 2 points with one posted up at Jack in the Box with the lights on. I simply do not understand how SW on Western track make money. I have observed the following:
1. They are always acting ghetto and talking on the phone when you attempt to pick them up.
2. They always cluster in groups and act intimidating when you want to speak with them.
3. 99% of them are grossly overweight.
4. They want a ridiculous amount of $.
5. WHen you try to get their attention they ignore you.
Has anyone else observed this?

Showdown.1. They do this frequently when they aren't interested in getting picked up by you. I've had a few look into my car, then upon deciding that they don't want to see you they pull out the phone and start talking. This happens everywhere, not just on Western.
2. I personally never had this happen to me, thankfully.
3. I have seen more overweight ones on Western than elsewhere, but there are some delicious ones there as well sometimes. One of the hottest BSW I've seen was on Western.
4. You get that every now and then on the other tracks too. If they ask for too much, simply keep hunting.
5. This is just like #1; they'll do this if they don't want to see you. Their reasons could be they suspect you're undercover LEO, your car looks suspect (like you're dangerous), or some just won't see black guys (I've had girls walk towards my car when I stop, look in, then start ignoring me. Some of the streets along Western-like Gage for example-are wide avenues rather than the small side streets that are residential. I usually will have the girl come as close to the street and Western as possible (at the same time looking out for LEO. What part of Western?As far as what area could be a problem, the answer is just about any whether it be Western or Fig. A few months ago, after I had picked up a regular of mine that lives near Western and Vernon, we drove South on Western turned on 76th, and at Van Ness while sitting for the signal to change, and car turned right into my direction, and I see a huge flash and bang. I obviously got the hell out of there. I have no idea why this happened. I don't know of it was random, or if I was followed. What I do know is I didn't provoke it.
My car was hit with a 45 calibre round, and the only reason I'm not dead or maimed, is it deflected into the door jam, as they shot from about 20 feet away, but at an angle as they had turned into me.
I've worked in the area close to 40 years and never had a problem, but it obviously can happen as it did. It doesn't matter where you are, you can't be so focused on the SW, that you don't stay alert to your surroundings.
