Thanks to Kyba1, Swm11 and the others who responded to my earlier post.
Recently, the ad for Marigold in the Fairfield County Weekly (a free paper!) has included the statement "Bring this ad for $10 off" so one can now get a full-hour session for $60. From AMP-mongering for over 20 years, my experience has been that it's always well worth it to go for a full hour session instead of a 30 minute session, and since the difference is only $10 with the ad, IMHO one should ask for the full hour.

Arguably, Waterbury is no better off today than it was six years ago, and probably worse off. For example, while I usually bought gas, coffee and snacks at a gas station/convenience store whenever I visited Hong Kong Spa or one of the other AMPs in Waterbury before 2006, since that time I don't think I've spent any money on anything in Waterbury except for a couple of stops at Nardelli's Delicatessan.

So I've been here twice now in the past month. This last time was so bad I feel compelled to share, and I don't often if ever post to blast a place. I've been around the country doing this the past several years as a side hobby, and this last time at Star was one of the worst I've had.
I got Cici, thickly built woman probably late 20's mid-30's, who right off the bat had a horrible attitude. Was really lazy and tried to kill time multiple times, then only gave a 5 min half-assed massage. Her skills in other departments were actually painful / terrible, and after a few mins then tried to basically force me to finish. No massage afterward, was in and out in about 35-40 minutes tops including all the multiple wasted wait times where she left the room. I couldn't believe it when she rushed me the entire time then said 'ok! ' and tried to wrap things up. Especially for the price ($.7) you can find much better places elsewhere.
The time before wasn't the greatest either, but at least the girl I had the other time, Mimi, definitely put in the effort although she was also thickly built and not really my cup of tea. I don't know what people here are talking about in terms of the talent.
I don't know if it's just me but when I chatted with both of them they had both recently just arrived to CT from far away places in the states. The mamasan is either messing with me or this place isn't as good as advertised. When I walked out I didn't say it to the mamasan but she had to know I wasn't pleased.

(offered same as I would any other AMP, she wouldn't allow any touching (except the obvious) , and haughty attitude that "that's just the basic", when I wanted a little DATY. Had to shower myself. Seem to remember a place way off from downtown, down in Waterbury, same attitudes.

Noticed their ad was missing from advocate this week. I hope that they aren't closed.Has anyone heard anything about Sun Star? I haven't found anything in the news, so maybe a glimmer of hope. I do recall them closing for plumbing problems one time and for renovations another time or two. But, with the pretty new 2nd floor and the general state of things the last time I was there, I wouldn't think any renovations were necessary. Here's hoping this is very temporary and all is well. And, of course open's back up, like, yesterday!

I can confirm that Star is back. Different person answered the door to let me in, and showed me a lineup saying this is 1, 2.3, 4.5! I saw a beautiful flower. Lily. There had a great shape with smaller natural top. Nice face, good attitude and sense of humor, but English was a slight problem.

Finally made my way back to Star. Have missed it badly and ended up very disappointed. Worst experience I have ever had (and I've been in the game for almost 15yrs). Very friendly new m'san. Spent time with Rose, who was easily an 8/10. Terrible attitude; turns out because Flo was visiting. Which I only found out after our session. Saw a couple other great looking ladies on the way out (while expressing my concern to the new m'san). PM for details, trusted contributors.

I was there last week, picked Nana from unimpressive lineup. Standard, fair fare. I did see a turn girl with frosted mop-hairdo that looked good. (Always on way to shower, was NOT in lineup). Well anyway, went today described this girl to mamasan. She sends another unimpressive lineup. I was going to walk, but several different pressures (external & internal) made me stay and pick Candy. Again, everything was just "okay". She asked me who I has last time, responded "Nana"."Why you no

I don't know about 2 line up's, but they have a lot of rooms and a lot of girls working there. Don't forget, they are open from 9AM to 3AM, so I doubt the girls that are working until 3 get up and get ready for 9. So far I've been to Zodiac (E. Haven) and Shiatsu (N. Haven). Of the two, I liked Shiatsu the best because they do a better job of providing a really good massage along with the HE. I've been considering a return visit there, but have seen some ads pop up (BP Therapeutic) that I wanted to see if anyone has intel on. The first is Rain Flower Spa in Orange. In their ad they actually say "TIPS IS ABOUT $10-$15 GOOD ENOUGH." I'm hoping that means good enough for HE.
The other one is Grand Asian in Milford.
Not really looking for FS or spending 1. 6 to get there. Prefer to stay at or under 1 for a really good massage, table shower and HE. Would appreciate any posts or PMs. Thanks.

The last couple of times, they seemed to act like it was a job. Which it is, but part of that job is to act like its fun.

Any establishment that advertises itself as "massage" is required to have a state license. To obtain such a license, an individual would need to have a certain number of hours of "training" (if you will) on file with the state. I guess so, however given the transitory nature of the girls. They come and go as we so often have noted. It makes it decidedly inconvenient.

Ok. Different town, I know, but there really seems to be significant anti-AMP sentiment these days. Some interesting comments by officials, I think you will find.
This is an impossible argument for AMP-frequenters, who obviously want to be as discreet as possible. While those on the other side masquerade as civic heroes.
Don't know what all the fuss is about really. What with recent mass-murders, et al. Not to mention a state that has the highest per capita debt in the entire country.
Remember the Route 84 fiasco circa 2005. 2007 and thereabouts with LG Defelice. No criminal charges were ever made. Everyone walked.

I am puzzled by the appearance of the word "crime" in the link, somehow this story doesn't deserve to be lumped in with double murders, bank robberies, etc.

Swung through Sun Shine this afternoon. Parking lot was empty, lights off, look closed. I was on my way somewhere so I did not stop and try the door bell.
Stopped by today. They are open but only for table shower and massage. Nothing else not even a HJ. 70 for 1 hour.
Went there last night and it looked closed. No more neon "open" sign. I went to the door and saw a paper sign on the door that said open. The mamasan was very cautious and said to me "no trouble". We did the shower and back in the room she asked me BJ or HJ. When I said FS she got really nervous so I assured her I was no cop. I didn't really find her body that attractive and was a little dissapointed at the end. When we were done she gave me $20 back. I paid the usual $160. There isn't a poster here that doesn't have (more or less) the same point of view. This whole thing kind of caught me off guard, I must admit. As being somewhat of a veteran of the asian persuasion (like that?) , I always had the impression that the powers that be basically "looked the other way". You know it really wasn't hurting anybody.
It was one appealing aspect of CT (there really aren't many). These attractive, fun, friendly asian girls who, basically, look at it the same way you and me do (I've had more than my share of discussion with them on this). Quite frankly, what the state came up with to stop this was really quite clever. The massage license thing. It will be hard to get around it for a variety of reasons. Too bad the state doesn't have the same ingenuity. Not even close. When it comes to picking up the economy around here.
Ct has become a very desolate place, and certainly not just due to this. We will be one of the last states to come out of recession (if we ever do) ; we have one of the highest per capita debts (higher even than NJ, from what I hear). I don't see a lot of hope for this state. Not much to offer.
I tend to follow the George Carlin axiom. Marijuana and prostitution. Legalize and tax the hell out of it. Presto! Balanced budgets! Revenue!
What we have instead are four overweight Bridgeport women who view this "law enforcement" action as saving the community. They made a bunch of noise, I guess, and (I suppose) shamed local government into the crackdown. Wow that really saved CT. Everything's good now.
Hey, I got a novel idea! How about some jobs? How about putting people back to work? How about putting money in people's pockets, getting construction and housing rolling again. Or at least back to some acceptable level. And. How about doing it without throwing a ton of public dollars around. 'cause that's all were doing. We need private industry to get back on line. Private construction. Private projects. Private employment. With benefits.
Any thoughts on how to do that? Or is it just going to be the same Mickey Mouse bullshit around here in CT.

Tiger.I have seen the light on behind the donut place on Saturdays and Sundays now. Plus on after midnight. This may be a good sign. Because since they had reopened a few months ago, they had been closed on weekends and after like 11:00 pm or midnight. I haven't had a chance yet to check it out, been really busy. If I do, I'll be sure to report back.
I did see her in a pinch. I wouldn't say she is a lot bigger but some of the pics in her ad are older she's a bit bigger and a bit more out of shape. Tiger.Yea, the one I got was Nancy, iirc. Not going to do a full report because most, if not all, of us know what's what there. But she was probably early to mid 30's, fake D's, thin and a nice ass for an asian. Face was ok and personality was fine. I would say that the massage itself was slightly sub par, but she did walk across my back, which doesn't happen very often IME. Highly recommend. I have to say this was the cleanest, best looking AMP I've ever seen (Inside). Music being piped in was great (not that weird massage music, but kind of like 6 o's jazz). Felt like I walked onto the set of to Russia with love. Great massage. Great everything.

Yesterday I had occasion to be in the area and stopped by as the snow started. I had the pleasure of Ellie's services and found her to be everything I like. Ellie made me laugh and was very conversational and playful in our session. Very nice TS with great technique & attention.
For the body rub she showed me some skill understanding how to use her thumbs, palms & elbows such that I would say the body rub was much above the standard AMP fare. She did tell me that me talking to her telling her what I liked & complimenting her efforts made her more engaged.
Later she displayed some advanced skills for my enjoyment which left me completely satisfied & grateful.
Overall I had a completely enjoyable time. Had an upstairs room for the first time & was clean & quiet per their standard. Fees were .7 house & 1.4 staff.

Went to VIP last week.
The place was clean enough but the talent just wasn't there.
Only one girl was working; locked the door behind me.
My attendant was 45+ short, and flabby. Not pretty either.
Massage was ok.
She was willing to HE, but is just wasn't happening. I can do fresh cupcakes but not stale old muffin tops.
I offered a mercy tip of .02 and she pushed for .1.
Seriously?! No reason for me to return.

The hottest I had was the one across the parking lot from the Irish Pub on the right. The chick was absolutely hot and a great bod. Standard 60/120.
Finally had the chance to try the Hot Tub room at Star. Was a little xtra but I enjoyed it. It even came with a Top heavy Korean.

Being a Waterbury native I know there is not much that compares to a nice AMP experience. Visited Sunny at a well established AMP near the Woodbridge town line and had a wonderful time. She's cute, not gorgeous, very attentive, very nice rack. Has good skills. Allowed everything after a nice, relaxing massage, damage was 7 plus 8 which is OK by me. I left very happy. Mid day snacks are the best!
Went there over the weekend and saw Michelle. The table shower was fine but the massage was quick and was very meh. She asked how much I paid last time and I said $...and she laughed saying that was a long time ago; I think it's been two months. Settled for $.2 for fake moaning and very rushed daty. The entire session, outside of the table shower, actually seemed rushed and if that price increase is actually straight across the board, I don't think it's worth it to go back, as I've thought the service has been lackluster, or at least not what it used to be, since it reopened last year.

Went there over the weekend and saw Michelle. The table shower was fine but the massage was quick and was very meh. The standard rate of $60 house fee plus $100 tip for FS has been at that level for most CT AMPs since the late 1990's (15 years ago!) so it is inevitable that both the house fee and the expected tip will creep up eventually, from $60 to $70 (or the new $80 house fee in Danbury) and from $100 to $120 for a tip. We mongers should try our best to hold the line on the tip but that's not going to last forever.
My memory tells me that the now-gone Magic Spa in Waterbury was the first AMP to demand a $100 tip instead of the then-normal $80, and that was definitely in the 1990s.Spearsman, My recollection was that they did that raise to $100 around '95. They also tried raising it in 2000 to $120, I got a great laugh one day in January when one girl said "because Y2 K".
