Be patient with Newbie. Years ago I did coke and pot once and typed like a mother fucker a whole bunch of shit that no one could have possibly given a shit about. I think I wrote about how hookers need respect or some bunch of nonsense. I suspect the majority of you are like me, saw his post and said "what the fuck!" The only drug I use is a prescription drug called Haldol. You shouldn't make fun of people with psychological disorders which are bona fide medical problems. Its not my fault and anyway I feel I have my condition under pretty good control.

Actually, I'm also using some over-the counter zithromax which I picked up on a trip I took to Kenya last month because of a little "dripping" condition I developed towards the end of the trip. I haven't seen a doctor but it seems to be mostly under control now. I have to admit though that that and other recent events do have me re-evaluating some of my practices. I always go bareback in my sessions unless the girl absolutely insists. I just don't like the feel of a condom when I'm having sex. And I've rarely, until just recently, caught anything. Well, I seemed to have also developed a rash after my last session with Tina. So I think the next time I session with her I might wear protection.

I can't decide whether this newbie guy is really this messed up or he is really just pulling our leg. Either way it may not be such a bad thing. Perhaps his white slavery talk scared away a few customers. And his unsafe sex practices might scare a few more. Now if we can just get Newbie to stop going himself, or at least wear a rubber and not over tip when he does, we'll be all set. As I've said before we've promoted this business to the point that it is "too busy" and prices may be in danger of going up or quality down. A dose of reality or maybe unreality may be just what we need at this point if it keeps their business down to manageable levels.

Newbie if you really are for real, please please please get yourself checked out by a doctor. You really have no idea what else you may have contracted and be spreading around. My god!!!

I'm well aware there are idiots out there, and that some providers simply don't give a shit if they are ill, or if they pass along something nasty. I gave up SWs years ago for the simple reason that the risk to price/thrill calculation didn't work out for me, and Osaka goes out the window for the same reason. I probably would have dropped it anyway, but newbie's post cemented it for me.

I get tested regularly as well. I'm doing a bit sooner this time around. I concur with Chase on this one. I've been mongering for about 20 years now - here and abroad - and I get tested regularly. Looking to change things up last week and not go to Osaka and spend more money I went to Yoshiko Spa on Kennedy. This place has been my fallback since way back when. There is a large Korean population in the Flushing, Queens area and it seems to be the hub for supporting a wide AMP network. Los Angeles is the west coast hub.

10 hours a day 6 days a week? That is generous. Most work from the time the doors open until the time the doors are locked at night.

As for off-campus activities, it depends. The turnover of girls kind of gets in the way. By the time she knows and trusts you and is willing to meet you outside it is time for her to move on. Besides if she is working 7 days a week, it is challenging to find the time to sneak off just you two. But I was TRYING to say pretty much the same thing as you, that in general it DOESN'T apply to AMP's or even P4P. Other AMPs cost much more than Osaka. OCCASIONALLY, you'll find one like Yoshiko where the girls are hotter. MOST of the time for other AMPs, the quality of the talent in the looks department is no better or much worse. But even in that rare case, like Yoshiko, a) looks is just one component of service quality and doesn't always correlate with the overall quality of service and b) the other aspects of service are usually much worse when think about how you have to coax every bit of extra service out of them each time (always for more money). However, AMP's are not the only P4P option. Even there one usually finds that cost does not usually correlate that well with quality of service. And for the most part, mere looks doesn't correlate with either of them either unless you're talking bottom end and the so-called street walker scale where you can get some real bargains but you definitely get what you pay for there.

It is all about what you're looking for. If you really want a hottie then visit Bangkok or Yoshiko and be prepared to pay the premium rates those girls command. You may enjoy the service or you may be disappointed.

Osaka has gotten a lot of press on account of it's service and its value. While girls like Tina and Penny are attractive they do not compare with the babes some of the other spas import from out of town.

I don't want to write yet another typical Osaka report. "Went to Osaka, saw so and so and she rocked my world.) However, I did go to Osaka only I'd like to report back on something a little different I found out somethings that some might find interesting and either reassuring or disturbing. I was engaging in the usual chit chat with my girl (who shall go nameless for this report) and she revealed at least what I feel are some interesting tidbits.

I've been doing my homework, reading through the 2006 posts, and have a good feel for what to expect at both Osaka and Yoshiko. I'd plan on visiting each while I'm there. I'll be certain to report back.

That being said, I have a question concerning the lesser reported on AMPs. I'll be staying at the Westin Tampa Harbour near the Convention Center. Without the availability of a rental car, getting to distant AMP locations may become problematic. Are there any other AMPS (Korean or otherwise) close by to the Convention center that I should try? I'd be willing to forego FS for a HR only AMP if it's conveniently located. Just PM me the name and I'll map it on my portable GPS.

Many cities I've traveled to have had adaquate taxi service to get me to distant AMP locations. What's the story with Tampa? Is taking a cab to (and from) an AMP from the hotel a reasonable/realistic option? I don't recall any posts that have commented on the neighborhood at Osaka or Yoshiko. Is it a safe area to wait for a cab?

I'm also open to a private session with an independant provider, should someone care to recommend one.

There are no AMPs close to your convention center location. Yoshiko and Bangkok are west of downtown on Kennedy Blvd. Quite a hike.

Osaka is considerably further away, being near 275 and Hillsborough Ave.

Without a car, a cab is your only real option. Since you'll be at the Westin the concierge should be able to hook you up. If you don't care what the cabbie thinks, just tell him to circle back in an hour and he'll have a return fare.

Neighborhoods? I have never had any problems on Kennedy, but then again I usually dash from the car to the AMP. Osaka can be a bit scary for an out of towner on foot. Not recommended.

Sure more guys are finding out about and flocking there but I have to think if it were that special in the old days someone would have discovered it and popularized it sooner.

The other point I think we should consider before asking this question is whether the great value at Osaka is entirely a good thing. Of course at first blush it would seem obvious that its a GREAT thing for us. How good it is for the girls is another question. The simple fact is that unless one is talking about older less attractive providers, and even oftentimes with them, the standard tip for even much more limited service is substantially more at other AMPs than it is at Osaka. How long can they continue to recruit halfway decent looking women at those rates when those same women could command tips that are much higher elsewhere? Sure they may make up on volume what they tradeoff in price, but how many women really want to service that many guys in a day when they could only have to deal with a few and net the same amount of money?

I won't pretend to have the definitive answer here but thought this might make an interesting topic for discussion and would like to see what the consensus is.

Chase - Osaka took off about the same time the Kennedy Blvd spas started importing young hotties and jacking up the rates. Before then, the full menu at Bangkok and Yoshiko was reasonable and the girls accomodating. There was no need to travel up to Hillsborough when the fun was closer to town.

Then the dynamics changed. Bangkok started the trend. They brought in an 18 year old (or so she said) and her tipping rate was 200. Because she was young and hot, the customers bought it. Someone in spa management realized they could cash in on this. More hotties were brought in and the tip scale permanently became 200.

That drove the regular fellows away. Osaka and some of the places on the other side of the bay started attracting ex-Bangkok and Yoshiko customers. I think that if you research the posts you'll see a significant decrease in reporting on these places as reports on Osaka started increasing.

What made Osaka successful was that while the girls may not have been runway models, they were (and continue to be) extremely playful. And more importantly, they maintained a reasonable tipping scale.

Is Osaka's "golden age" over? Well, it certainly does get a lot of publicity and business may be booming (no pun intended). That makes for a much more crowed and busier spa. The girls have to work harder and longer and there doesn't appear to be a regular influx of new girls. And with all the postings here it now attracts more newbies then before.

Hard to predict where this will go.

Certainly management would know what is going on with their competitors.

However, I believe that these girls are being brought in and really don't have the opportunity to hang out at happy hour discussing the state of the industry with the sisterhood.

Certainly, the amount of effort vs. level of income is the primary factor as to whether they stay in the business here or not. But only as it relates to their own internal calculations, not to the girls at the other local AMPs.

In this case the "invisible hand" of the market works to move the girls in and out of a particular city and/or country, but these imported workers would rarely be in a position pick up and move to another AMP once they are already working here in Tampa.

Ultimately, it is the management who makes the effort (or not) to get young, hot, pleasant girls. If they are able to keep the till humming without having to make much effort, why should they bother to improve their recruiting efforts?

It is up to the mongers, through our patronage, to demonstrate to the owners that when they had decent quality at a reasonable price they were making money hand over fist.

But if they choose to let the quality of the girls (and number of choices) go south, then the good times will be fleeting.

Yes, that may be true but there is a world of difference between a fresh grilled sirloin burger and a cardboard tasting "mystery beef" burger that has been sitting on the warming rack for the last half hour. The hard part is finding the right balance between quality and price (aka value). And yet I do go to Osaka, because I'd rather compromise a little on looks and service quality than pay so much more for a session with a better looking girl that probably isn't any better or perhaps winds up being even worse in terms of service quality. For $140/hr, up until recently, I've been able to get decent service with usually decent enough looking women at Osaka. Not perfect but certainly a good value for this area, ie as much as I can reasonably demand for that rate. OTOH, if I'm going to pay twice as much, you're right, I'm going to demand twice as much more in looks and/or service. And you're right again there are very few spa girls that are going to be worth paying that much for. Which is exactly why I don't go to spas that charge that much. I have found equally hot looking escorts that will provide the GFE level of service I describe for that much money and in some cases much less.
