A/C is finally back on . Whew !!
There's a lotta girls around Jakes lately, something for everybodies taste.
Britaney is back bartending at night and looking much trimmer now .
Marilyn is back on nights ... with short hair after her hubby gave her a trim.
So much for restraining orders , huh ?
Jake has returned two favorites from days gone by to nights ;
Kitten and Trouble.
Dayshift still features the beautiful Stormy and the legs to heaven girl , Erin,
as well as Gaze and Gypsy. Della is usually bartending days .
All the girls say c'mon in , it's cooler inside now !
Even though the A.C. is back on.
We still have our imfamous ice baths.

Made a long-overdue visit today. The A/C was working fine so I didn't need an ice bath. The ladies were fun as always. It's definitely my choice of stops on the westside. When you stop in, don't steal my girlfriends !

Yes, she was there today. She was working day shift.
Stopped by this afternoon around 6pm. There were 4 ladies there, seemed more interested in talk with each other then making money.

He was complaining about his dancers and his doctor. Stormy works Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday's. Erin was out too. Man this place has gone down the hill.

Just got back. Mariah was bar tending in a REALLY cute Jags cheerleader lingerie type thing. Go team, if the players had that much spirit (and that quality backfield) they would be winning for sure! Still dreamy on Jake's son, but I hear she is beginning to come around.
Stormy was there, she got on stage and really danced her cute little ass off. Couple other girls, both were nice and friendly but my eyes were on Stormy, 'specially after her dance. Definitely the cutest thing in there this night, and very energetic.

Hell, if you already drove over there, you may as well go in and check. There are a couple of real cuties that work nights (9:30 to 11:30! LOL) and that one ugly one. The two really cute ones usually show up late, and if there aren't any (good) customers they leave early. Saturdays usually suck on both shifts, but it's getting close to Christmas so the girls might get motivated soon.

But I did make a trip to Jake's yesterday. It was interesting. His computer crashed, so there was no music for the gals to dance to. Jake finally did fix it. Just in time for me to get a couple dances before I had to scram.
I don't hesitate to say good things about this place. Always been treated well and had a good time.

And most of the seniors here aren't even going to say yes or no because if you read (didn't want to do the RTFF thing) you can draw your own conclusions. Or better yet, visit each and decide for yourself.
Alex. Yeah, the VIP ain't real private. BUT, there are precious few of those left. Hell, after 12th Street and Nelsons, anything's private. I personally have no problem at all with Jake's VIP area.

OBGOk, I'll admit that I might've been a bit overboard in saying the VIP section sucks, but your answer rings true, it's not real private. And yes, I miss the days of 12th Street / Beavers Pub and Nelsons. Hell, I wish someone would put on Sunday Private Dance Shows like they did years ago at Nelson's & Brass Rail (or it's previous incarnation). It was $10 bucks to get in and after that, the sky was the limit.

Second, if she had to show interest in you just to get a tip for a beer, she probably won't dance for you. Not meant to be derogatory; but tipping for drink service is not only accepted practice, but also part of the way these ladies get money to pay their bills.

OBGI agree, Stormy the bartendar is quite pleasant but most everybody I have met at Jake is nice to say the least. I have spent more time here the last two weeks then ever as I noticed mention of a "Shy" who works here. Unfortunatly I have not seen her. I have been on both shift at the end of the day shift and well into the night shift. I still need some attention from the night shift "Stormy" but have spent time with Marylyn and the night shift Audrey (I think that is her name) she is quite bright. I wanted to confirm that the Jake's Shy is not a dancer from Cocktails (of old) named Shy.

Marilyn. Perhaps it's from a settling of her personal life now that she really does live alone. Perhaps it's because she really did quit drinking. Or perhaps it's because we made her read some of these reviews on here. Whatever the reason, Marilyn has been much better lately. Her and I have had our ins and outs, but I have to give her credit, she is much better than she was a while back. And her dance skills are still among the best in the business.

They don't get paid by the hour.

Stopped in last week and got a few dances from Stormy. What a great lady, sweet, attractive and hard, tight body. Things seemed slow so got 3 songs from her and left very happy. She is a sweetheart so if you see her please treat her well.
I popped in for a quick beer and a dance last week. Stormy was tending bar and she was all alone. I elected to get a dance while it was quite and I enjoyed myself very much.

I then went to Jakes and in small talk asked the beauty behind the bar about said anniv and told her that the only advertisment on the subject was coming from "word of mouth" from the competition down the street. This gave Jake a lite laugh.
Got to love this bar.
I did see a new girl named "Devine" actually she tells me she was from way back when but has renewed her job. She looks too young to be from too far back.

Made a trip to Jakes this week and, as usual, had a great time.
There's a bunch of places around town, and I guess everyone has his own preferences. I've been to about all of 'them over the years. They all have good times and bad. Most took a big hit when they (supposedly) did away with private VIP rooms.
I almost always get dances, and I always tip, both for dances and drinks. I'm probably the oldest one here, and I don't like places where it's so noisy you can't carry on a conversation. I also don't like to be hustled.
Check my old posts and you'll see I used to be a Stud's and Pony fan. Stud's privacy disappeared and Pony went downhill bad (imo). Decided to try Jakes and been goin there ever since. Not that they don't have their issues, but overall they're consistently good. I enjoy the ladies, and even carry on a conversation with Jake now & then. Like I said above, it's still my favorite (and no, Jake didn't pay me to say all this. LOL)

Don't let the looks worry you. I have been going there for years. I have never had a problem inside or outside. Which is why I like the place. Plus like OBG, I like a place where you can actually hear someone if they say something to you.

Jakes is not open Sundays. He tried it a couple times, but just can't get bartenders or dancers to work Sundays.
Stopped by last Tuesday, when I walked in at 4:30 Stormy and Cheri actually said I was their first patron. Needless to say Cheri was more than eager to give me a dance. Apparently she takes a cab to work so is $25. 00 in the hole just to get to work. She is a mature lady but really nice body and great attitude. Very direct and to the point in VIP which I appreciated. Very nice experience. Feel free to PM for details.

I sure am glad to enjoy Trouble's 38DDs when I had the chance!

Was in the area trolling last Sat and by early afternoon I had enough of wasting gas and time so I decided to stop into Jakes. No dancers or bartender had arrived yet so it was me and Jake holding down the fort. A few minutes of sipping beer and playing the vid game in came Dalla [pronounced Della] who was bartending. She looked okay with a small rack, cute face, and not too bad a body. Another customer arrived and was more into talking to Jake than anything so Dalla decided to dance on stage. I can't remember the last time I saw someone on stage there so it was a novelty. Tipped her and she stopped by when she finished 1 song. By this time the 2nd customer had left so it was a good time for a dance. I did 3 dances and it took forever for her to get things started and there was no play below the border but up top was open. I had never seen her before so maybe she was playing it safe [YMMV]. It's a real downer when a MILF-ish hot chick is dancing for you and there is no P-play or extras. I can get more from dancers at Sins and DH for less so I may not repeat though it might be better after a couple of visits. If anyone else has any info on this one let me know. She's really cute but only more mileage would bring me back to see her again.
BTW the area was a ghost town for SW action.

I drove by Jakes on Friday and was surprised to see how many cars were in the lot, I just kept driving to Pony's.
On Monday I made a point to stop in to see if something was up, nothing was and the only dancer was the one I think you were talking about. She went on stage and I went up to tip her, she dance for me like I had LEO on my forehead. I actually had to reach over the stage to give her a buck.
That was enough for me so I walked out the door.
The funny thing is that she and another customer were talking about what Jake has to do in order to stay in business.
I have been over hearing this for years.
One day I will drive by an the place will be locked up.

Hit Jakes for the first time in forever. First night was a bust with nothing but bambi yelling the whole hour I was there about how someone needed to buy a dance, she was bored, and someone needed to buy a dance about 100 more times, and then we were all scared.
Second night I got to deal with angies attitude, and got to listen to one dancer complain to everyone how other girls spend to much time on stage dancing for a $1. 00 and that she was not going to waste her time for a $1. 00 and that guys could get a VIP dance. Two trips that reminded me why I have not been there in forever.

Jake's was an interesting place. Not much poppin' on dayshift. For one, I felt out of place. Stormy Bambi and Bella were there but nobody seemed interested in working. They didn't seem too attractive from what I could tell. Is there a better selection at night? Even if there is, I don't think I'd want to stick around at night.
I wanted to stop by on Saturday night at around 10:00, but the place looked like it was closed. Are they open on Saturdays?

Jakes is a very low volume place, mostly regulars. If you wait to see cars at Jakes to determine if they are open. You will never succeed. The place is a true dive and usually only one or two dancers, but can be fun if you can get past the location and the clientele. There is always drama at Jakes, but that wait makes Jakes entertaining.

I ran into Jakes whole staff at a birthday party Sat. They had a power outage at Jakes plus no customers, so they all took the rest of the day off.
I stopped by Jakes after crapping out at Pony's on Friday night, early. There were 2 dancers, but they were talking to old farts like me, so I sat at the bar and had a beer. The bartender was balls hot but not dressed like she was dancing. Didn't get the scoop on her, since the Pony was my usual hunting ground. A tiny thin girl comes out of the bathroom and we chat. Can't recall the name, but the post below mentioned Jasmine, and that sounds right. Five foot nothing and had to be less than 100 lbs. Actually pretty nice girl. Did some dances and she was most cooperative. Will definately return. In my experience, the night shift at Jakes is more diverse and frisky than the day shift, which is just the opposite of most places of similar intent. But then again, what the hell do I know?

Little Stormy, Trouble, Kitten and most of the night crew are gone. Ringo and her daughter are dancing on nights now with either Angie or Christy as a bartender. They are quite a bit older, and don't have the physiques as the former crew. Stephanie from the Pony is there too. Jakes have seen better days.
Best option is to check to see if Jake is out on the floor or not honestly. He is a stickler for songs under 4 minutes and just is a downer in general.

And of course the pretty little blonde behind the bar moriah I think. The night shift looks pretty damn good but come in quick for seasons pickings don't know how long they will stay.
Stopped by Jakes and there were actually 4 ladies working the early afternoon shift on a Friday. Good old Stormy, Brittany. Steff and Jaden. And believe it or not, at least a half dozen payin' customers. Smiles all around.

I'll say this about that. Dances are $30 a song. Some girls accept tips, some don't. For some, tips are mandatory and set, for other girls tipping is whatever your heart moves you to tip, even if that is nothing more than the base price. Your mileage may vary.
