Welcome to the official home of Melody Spa, better known to many of our regulars as the House of M.

Every shop has its own personality. Over the years, many of our regulars began calling Melody Spa the "House of M," and the nickname simply stuck. It wasn't something we created. It was something the community gave us, and we've always appreciated that. We thought it was only fitting to make it the home of our official thread as well. (A special thanks to A2 for helping us set it all up.)

Think of this thread as the front porch of the House of M. Whether you're checking who's here this week, looking for the latest shop news, or just stopping by to say hello, this is where Mary and the Melody Spa team will share what's happening around the shop.

Just to clarify, appointments are not required to take advantage of this promotion. During the promotional period, all of our staff have been instructed not to collect any house fees for 30-minute sessions.

Like most promotions, it has been quite popular, so there may occasionally be a short wait. Most customers are happy to save the $40 and don't mind waiting a bit. Of course, if waiting a few minutes is not worth $40 to you, that's your choice.

I'm beginning to look forward to making the drive from Phoenix to Tucson for work more and more. I've been lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time in Tucson and have tried to make it a point to stop by and see what's new. This time I had to see Jasmine. I was in Phoenix and Tucson last weekend for some work meetings and really wanted to see Jasmine at Melody before she leaves and because of the very good reviews. Text the number on Sunday to try to set up an appointment but Jasmine was busy the next 2 hours I was in the area so I decided to see Jessica.

Just so everyone knows I'm going to rate the great and the not so great parts of my last session at Melody.

I called Melody Spa and spoke to someone to set an appointment with Vivianne. Appointment time was set. I arrived on time or about 2 minutes early. Not a big deal but I know sometimes they're rushing between appointments but also I don't want to be late. Shown in room and paid room fee. I met Cora at the door. (Note to self I need to try an appointment with Cora.) Mary let me know that Vivian was running late and she would give me a massage first. (Mary started with the massage and about 20 minutes into the appointment Vivian came in the massage room. At this point it's almost half way through the appointment. In the beginning I told Mary that I wanted a TS and she said Vivian would take care of that. When Vivian came in the TS was being used and we needed to wait.

Vivian definitely kept me distracted while we were waiting for the TS. Nothing bad there.

The TS was good but the session after was better. I'm not going into exactly what was done but a lot of my stress and frustration was drained away.

Vivian had to go so she left early and left Amy to finish the massage.

Amy gave me a neck and scalp massage. Vivian came in about 5 minutes before the end of the session to tell me to give her tip to Amy for her.

Session could have been a lot better.

Vivian is booked solid which is good. Nothing bad about that.

The truth is, Melody is busy for a reason. It's like dining at a very popular restaurant. Everyone wants to go there, and sometimes that means there can be a wait. Most people don't mind because they know the quality of service and talent they get at Melody is second to none. We understand the wait is not ideal, but we also do everything we can to make sure you're being taken care of for the full hour you booked.

Like you said yourself, Mary started your massage while Vivian was running behind, Vivian took over when she became available, and Amy finished things off with a post-session massage. At a lot of other spas in Tucson, you might have spent that time sitting alone in the room waiting and wondering when someone was coming back. At Melody, we made sure you were being taken care of the entire time.

Some guys might actually be pretty excited that instead of spending 20 or 30 minutes staring at the ceiling, they somehow ended up with three beautiful ladies taking turns taking care of them.

Of course, we understand that wasn't exactly how you expected your appointment to go, and you're entitled to feel differently about it.

At the same time, Melody isn't going to be the perfect fit for everybody. If you're not enjoying your experiences here, there are plenty of other options in Tucson, and we certainly don't want anyone to feel obligated to come to Melody. Yes, we are tentatively planning a soft re-opening at Spring this Wednesday, 10/7.

We just ask everyone to be patient with us during the transition. There are a lot of moving pieces and details to manage behind the scenes, and getting everything exactly where we want it will take some time.

Think of it like this site's recent server migration. The transition definitely came with some growing pains, but once everything was completed, the site came back better than ever.

We're hoping for the same at Spring.

One important thing to keep in mind: things can change very quickly in the spa world due to circumstances outside of our control.

Right now, 10/7 is the plan, but it is still tentative and could change depending on how things develop. Those of you who have been around for a while know how quickly the landscape can change, especially around election cycles when spas around town suddenly start dropping like flies.

We'll do our best to keep everyone updated as things change, but please be patient with us along the way. 🙏

And one last thing we'd ask you guys to consider.

We've admitted before that Melody was never perfect. We know there were things we could have done better. But ask yourselves one simple question:

First off, we want to give a HUGE thank you to four of our longtime supporters, DesertSailor, Uncivil, AzHeadHunter, and NotCrazy, for taking the time to share their experiences and show us some love during this transition. 💕

You guys have been around long enough to know that the spa world can change faster than the Arizona weather. One day everything is business as usual, and the next day we're packing our bags and starting a whole new adventure. LOL.

But through all the changes, one thing hasn't changed...

Mary is still Mary. And the Queen hasn't forgotten how to take care of her people! 👑

I saw Dr. Mary at Spring this morning. She looked delicious as ever. All aspects of my visit were as expected and the change of venue has not changed her level of service.

She showed me the table shower under construction. It's being framed at the moment. Not much for the TS at Melody so here's hoping the one at Spring is more like the one JoJo used to have at 1314 on Speedway.

Judy was busy when we were done so I didn't get to visit with her but I did experience her at Melody and she was damn good.

The new place is nicer (and cooler temps) than Melody. I like the change.

Been out too long and I had to make a trip back to Ms. Marvelous Mary again. Amazing as always is what I can say. Came in and greeted me, ready to get to business with nothing to "get in the way". Of course she knows her clientele. Got into it right away with me with the main course that left me breathless.
