This has happened before me twice now in the past year.
Earlier this week I contacted what I thought was a legitimate provider on STG. Her area code was local, the pics of her looked like they were real and not some model ect.
I sent 1 text, a couple of lines basically asking if she was available that afternoon. When I got no reply a few hours later I erased the text.
Friday I got done mowing the lawn and checked on my phone. There were four missed calls and a text from a strange number. The text stated I had wasted his girls time and for the safety of me and my family I had better contact him right away. Mind you I never received any text in return from this provider.
I ignored this and erased and blocked the number from my phone. I wasn't worried about him finding me as my number is from another state and I am about an hour from Hickory.
Something similar happened about a year ago. In that case I actually had a back and forth with the "provider " until she demanded a deposit which I politely declined. In that case the blackmailer wannabe knew my name. Again I wasn't too concerned as I am hard to find.
So I have to ask. What kind of business model is this? I mean if you are going to blackmail someone why don't you wait until they meet up, or have a string of text messages to use as ammo? I realize we are not dealing with the best and brightest here.
These incidents have me quitting the game and going back to dating again. Of course that come with its own set of issues.
