May be worth looking at Jakarta, Indonesia as well. I have heard good things.

The FKK clubs in Germany are worth a trip. They're "wellness" clubs, with saunas, jacuzzis, outdoor pool areas, buffets, and dozens of naked women walking around to take to the on-site rooms. On November of 2025, I was finally able to cross an item off my bucket list and visited Japan for the first time. Needless to say, despite there being some bumps along the road, it was a magnificent experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. I spent 4 days in Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, and 10 days in Tokyo; therefore, I can only speak on those 2 locations from personal experience. Besides the wonderful food and SFW sights, such as temples, museums, shops, and bars, I did a fair amount of mongering during my visit. I hope in sharing both my experiences and what I learned, I can help any fellow traveler hoping to get a taste of Japan's adult industry enjoy their time in a safe and informed manner.
When writing this report, I have come to a bit of an impasse. On the one hand, there is a lot to go over (like, A LOT), the Japanese adult industry is very different from the one in the States. I will then go into more detail regarding the specific establishments I went to in further posts. Without further ado, let's begin.
This brief version of the report is meant to be read by those already familiar with the Japanese Adult Industry, its details and nuances regarding foreigners, and people looking for specific establishments of good quality. If you do not find the information provided to be satisfactory, more detailed reports are on their way.
I visited a total of 4 different establishments in my travels, 1 in Sapporo twice, 1 in Tokyo once, and 2 in Tokyo three times respectively:

- They are open from 9 am-midnight.

- Open from 6 am-midnight.

- If a specific girl strikes your fancy, it is best to try to book her a day in advance.
- Incalls are the most common form of service to foreigners, since the office is right in the center of a lot of love hotels.
- The office where you will confirm your appointment and pay is located a 15 minute walk from my hostel, and a 10 minute walk from Shibuya station. It cannot be found on Google maps, but the website provides instructions, and it is located next to "Hotel Onyx" in Dogenzaka, near Shibuya.
- Their phone lines are open 24/7, but the girls work from 9 am-5 am, depending if they are on the day or night shift.
- The specific talent I saw was Miyu Toda, Risa Mizuki, and Fumi Himeno, all 3 quality providers.

Before going into further details of my trip, I believe it is prudent to briefly touch on some of what Japan's adult industry has to offer, and some do's and don't regarding certain establishments.
One can call Japan a land of technicalities; for example, according to Japanese law, as of 2025 at least, escorting is not legal. However, the adult industry bypasses this because the law only defines "vaginal intercourse" as escorting. This means that there are a plethora of services that can offer anything BUT that and they're still fine and perfectly legal in the eyes of the law.
Some of these services range from the relatively mild, like Girl Bars, where you pay an attractive woman to pretend to listen to you for a certain amount of time, to bars where you can grope a girl's breasts (and not much else) called "Oppai Bars," and places where you can get a blowjob, known as "Pink Salons. " The unfortunate reality is many of these establishments do not welcome foreigners, and those that do usually only give foreigners access to their worst talent. This might change in the coming years if the yen continues to weaken, and more foreigners make up the total clientele. The 2 establishments that consistently allow foreign clients are also the 2 best ones in my opinion, and those are soaplands and standard escorting, known as "Delivery Health," or DH.
I will now go over some of the similarities I noticed between soaplands and DH services, and then go over some of the particularities each one has.
Both Soaplands and DH Agencies:
- Have girls that even if they accept foreign clients, speak close to no English. I have found that Google Translate works fine to communicate with them.
- They all rely primarily on cash, and they have at least a 10% upcharge if you use a credit card.
- You pay the agency before meeting the girl, not the girl directly.
- Kissing and BBJ are standard parts of the service, and don't require an upcharge.
- Penetration of any kind outside of BBJ is always covered. Japanese condoms are on average smaller and American ones, so I highly suggest bringing some of your own from the States to be on the safe side.
- Showering, brushing teeth, and using mouthwash before any play in MANDATORY, regardless of how clean you are when you come to the establishment.
- Your nails will be inspected, and you will be required to trim them if they are considered too long.
- Establishments worth their salt will include a timer for your paid time, and these include a 10-minute warning beep. So, the first beep you hear isn't the end of the session.
- It is polite to bathe with the girl after service is over, so you both can leave fresh and clean.
- The websites of these establishments tend to do a bit of photoshop of their girls, primarily to protect their privacy, and to do a little upselling. I was lucky enough that the girls I saw were pretty attractive, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to bring them for future travelers.
- The showering also involves a brief visual inspection of your privates, so the escort can be sure you don't have any cuts, lesions, or bumps that might suggest an STI.
- Quality establishments test their girls on a regular basis for STIs.
Soapland details:
- They exclusively host and offer no outcall services.
- Their rooms are half-bedrooms and half-shower floors, and they include a tub and an inflatable bed for the nuru-ish massage.
- Most services include a sort of nuru massage on steroids where the girl rubs all over your body with the help of a very slippery lubricant, not just oil. They're pretty well-trained in their technique and should definitely be experienced at least once.
- Vaginal penetration, or FS, is allowed in Soaplands and is considered a standard part of the package. The reason for this is a legal loophole, where a Soapland is technically registered as a bathhouse, and the girl is paid for her time and massage (wink), so anything she does AFTER that is technically up to her and not a paid service. - Generally, 70 minute courses involve 1 pop, while 90 minute courses involve 2 pops.

D. H. Details:

Ok, so before we get to the fun part, I feel it is prudent to go over a few things to avoid.
The top 3 things to avoid when mongering in Japan are touts, advertisement girls, and streetwalkers.
- Touts are basically men who aggressively attempt to solicit customers, primarily unprepared or uninformed tourists, into a certain establishment. Most of the time these involve either scams or potentially worse. It is best to ignore them and keep on moving about your day (or night, in this regard).
- Advertisement girls are much less sketchy or dangerous than touts, the only issue is that they advertise sub-par services and establishments, such as girl bars, that amount to no play for exorbitant prices. Remember, good quality agencies and soaplands do not require loud or aggressive street advertising, they KNOW customers will come to them.
- Street walkers, primarily in Tokyo's Okubo park, are to be avoided for 2 main reasons. Street walking is illegal and many of these girls do not have the protection offered by legitimate establishments, which means you're more likely to catch something from them or end up in police custody for trying to solicit their services. In my opinion, there is no reason why risk something illegal and generally unsafe in a country that has so many legal and much safer options.
Something that I would suggest doing when trying to book a specific girl in either a DH agency or a Soapland is to try your best to schedule as close to the start of her shift as possible. At the end of the day, even though this IS their job, they are still humans, and you're more likely to have an engaged and entertaining provider if it's the start of her workday, and not near the end.
Most Soaplands and DH agencies can be reached with either Whatsapp or LINE, so I suggest downloading either app for better communication, especially if you do not have an ESIM or SIM card for Japan and are relying on WIFI.

I chose Sapporo's Happiness Soapland for a few reasons. First, Soaplands appear to be a uniquely Japanese institution, and I wanted to give them a shot. Secondly, Happiness' prices were consistently lower than those of the Soaplands in Tokyo. When I arrived, I was met by a host and a man on the front desk computer. They will confirm in rough English if this is your first time visiting, and if it is then they will go over the house rules and pricing with you. During your first visit, you cannot choose a specific girl, but you can give them pointers to what you're looking for (slim, thick, short, aggressive, submissive, etc.) and they will do their best to accommodate you. Once they decide what girl is for you, they'll give you a laminated piece of paper with either a number or letter, indicating the specific provider. You will then wait in a small room behind a curtain with fellow clients until you are called up. I suggest going to the bathroom if you need to at this time.
Eventually, the host will call you up and request you take off your shoes in a general shoe zone. Then you will make your way up the stairs and be greeted by your provider, usually in some skimpy outfit. Before Covid, I would regularly make trips to Philippines and Thailand. There's a "massage" place called CLEOPS there where you walk in and are bombarded with 5-7 twenty something year old Mexican girls that just start throwing themselves at you.
