Let's talk about the best and the worst. What works for y'all for your "business meetings"? Any places that will give hourly rates?

Dolly's is great. Yeah, it's a "low-end" place but it's clean and cheap. Cash payment, no "put a hold on your charge card" BS. I got the king room at $50/2 hours mid-day recently.

Are there any other places like that in suburban Milwaukee where a "mature" white guy would feel safe?

Motel 6 that used to be on Bluemound in Brookfield was much more modern and quite reasonable. $40 on weekdays.

I do have a "burner" pre-paid charge card to use if necessary, but cash is so much simpler.

Pro-tip: take a "camping kit" with your own bar of soap in baggie or plastic carrier. Tiny motel "chewing gum" soap sucks.

"Port" and "Midpoint" on Appleton would be on my "worst" list just based on location and clientele.

I visited a friend in the Fox Valley area recently. First visit, we went to the Northway Motel in Fond du Lac. Early check in OK, noonish, cash OK, room was very comparable to Dolly's in Milwaukee. $60 book rate, bottom line was $73. A step up from a car date but the old mattress was disappointing. 2 stars and that's being generous.

Second visit, looking for something better, maybe a "treat a # like a princess" thing, I checked out dayuse.com and ended up going to Quality Inn in Oshkosh. Posted day use (10 am-6 pm) rate was $65, bottom line was $87. They require a $100 deposit if paying cash, so I used my prepaid "burner card" (very handy for stealth missions) and they don't put a "hold" on the card like some places. VERY NICE PLACE! I would stay there for a vacation weekend. Nice looking pool, modern building, king bed, "top notch" everything! 5 stars for accommodations and friendly desk clerk.

And, to preclude any questions, I'm probably not the friends only "daddy" but she is very much UTR and not available for anything else.

I've had success with the Hyatt Regency in MKE on Dayuse. It's under $100 for the day.

They have a Starbucks in the lobby for M&G, plenty of conference business so a credit card charge can easily be lunch or otherwise.

Other personal fave when meeting more special somebodies is the Renaissance in Mayfair. The restaurant Eldr & Rime is great, but also shows on the statement as the hotel name so great plausible deniability.

Happy hunting.

With usage of these cheap no-tels and motels, it's best to be aware of the room that you are going to do your dirty work in before you bring the lady over.

1. If you are booking a room at a cheap motel, especially for a couple hours, make sure to check the entire room for any potential recording equipment. Not too long ago, I found a phone left behind by a housekeeper that had a recording app running hidden in the corner. These places are often as shady as the activities that are happening there which leads to.

2. Just like with AAMPs and regular hotels, the best thing you can do when arriving and booking the room is to act normal. I guarantee you that all of these owners and receptionists are well aware of what's going on. They aren't going to report anything unless they absolutely are forced to.

3. If you'd like, you can use a prepaid debit card to help protect your privacy and potential extra charges but I have never had extra charges from these places and they are usually a bit lenient if you go over the time that you paid for (unless there are no vacancies).

4. On the weekends, the motels jack up their rates so it's usually more cost-effective to spend $5/$10 more dollars to go to one of the cheaper hotels where you gain a little more security and comfort.

Stay safe everyone!

If using the "dayuse.com" site, best to print out the reservation confirmation. I didn't print it out and the hotel clerk could not find it until I told her that I had booked it through the dayuse site and I later found out that she had over-charged me by about $14. My mistake for being a bit anxious and not catching it right away.

I may be taking a "vacation day" this week and going back there. Will definitely have the print-out this time.

Dolly's does the by the hour stuff? I had not heard that although last time I was there I got the impression there was new owners or management. Their rates used to be $50 to $60 for the whole day though, depending on the size bed you got.

Their rates used to be $50 to $60 for the whole day though, depending on the size bed you got.I haven't booked a whole day lately but on that one particular day, at 11 ish AM, the clerk indicated that the rooms were all booked but was willing to rent out one room "for a couple of hours" for $50. I credit them for being flexible and it was good business for them too. After taking care of "personal business", I took the key back to the office, thanked the clerk for being accommodating, and slipped her a 5-spot as a tip. All in all, it was a worthwhile adventure!

Not sure if other places do that but it makes sense from a business standpoint. The facility gets extra revenue from un-used rooms. Besides, I haven't had the opportunity for an "all-nighter" in a long time!

Dolly's may have raised their rates a bit. I seem to recall getting a full-day room a year or so ago for $35 and being surprised at how cheap it was.

But I think the first time I paid $40, and after that was $50 to $60 depending on if there was a double bed or queen or king. The place across the steet and just a bit South is a I think $55 and rooms not as clean or as large. But it does serve it's purpose if Dolly's is full and you need to rest really bad with the right lady.
