I decided to give the usual Raleigh spots a break and try Durham. I'm happy to say that I was not disappointing. I'm not sure if it was just the girl or if other Durham girls are like this, I'll be sure to find out, but she worked hard for the money. I saw her leaving a convenience store on Angier and found here when I doubled back through a neighborhood. Her face and body were far from great but two jacksons + 7 for a room got me everything including a brief trip to Greece. It has been quite a while since I've seen anything worthwile. I see an older blond anywhere up and down Holloway but she is too old for me. She seems very friendly though and always waves.

Hey all. Have been reading through the threads and found them very helpful. New to the hobby. Started out with CL girls but the cost, LE risk, and lack of options in Durham led me to consider the SW scene here.
I followed the advice on the boards and went crusing tonight between 1 and 2 am. There were about 8 BSW's on Holloway. Most on the stretch between N Hyde Park and Miami. I saw 2 BSW's and 2 WSW's on N Hyde Park.
I stopped for both of the WSW's but when they got closer I could see they were both at least in their 30's and maybe 40's so I passed. (I am in my late 20's).
I had originally planned on trying to find a WSW but the lack of options led me to stop for one BSW. Again, she looked ok from a distance but when she got to my car I decided to pass. I told her that and she asked if it was because she looked like a man. I didn't think she looked that ugly but her asking did not help her cause.
I also tried Roxboro St, Angier, and Chapel Hill. Saw no SW's on any of them, and Angier frankly scared the shit out of me.
All in all it was a good recon outing and gave me confidence that I could do it. I was a little nervous but if one of the girls had been a bit hotter I probably would have went through with it.
I'll go back in the next night or two and bust my SW cherry and report back. In the meantime any advice would be appreciated. I know I am new and that makes me sort of suspect, but any advice any veterans feel comfortable giving either in a public post or a PM would be appreciated. I read through the 22 point guide but would still appreciate both general and Durham specific advice.

I've been around for a while but this is my first post. I was riding through Hyde park last thursday and happened upon 5 or 6 bsw's. I asked one for directions and she was glad to help. My last few trips to Durham have been pretty fruitless but I decided to take a ride out towards Holloway anyway. I'd say the same about Greensboro.

Yeah things have been very quiet. A few nights ago a did run into April. She gave great service and like always was a joy to be around.
A little intel...apparently within the last couple of weeks the police were doing stings. It was the classic john pulls up to a woman, he quotes a price and then she directs him to pick her up around the corner, when he turns the corner the cops get him. What can we learn from this? After a terrible experience in Durham a few months ago I decided to keep things to a minimum.
So first the bad...

All of these women are living a marginal existence. In my experience, 99% don't consistently have a working phone number anyway. I have given and gotten phone numbers from a few down the years, and when I have tried to call the numbers have been out of service 99% of the time.
When I have occasionally run into a SW that I met and had wanted to see again, they would always say that they were on the way to the store to add minutes on their phone, and after that they will always make sure that their phone is never disconnected but guess what, several weeks later you call and again, the number is out of order. Of course, they will have lost your number and will ask you for it again.
In the very rare instance that they manage to borrow someone's phone, still have my number and call me wanting to get together, it has always been an inconvenient time for me. In the one instance when I did call and they had minutes and picked up, we agreed to meet at a certain place and time, but they never showed up anyway.
So I think we are overstating the risk of things going wrong as far as a phone trail and SWs are concerned. Other women, yes there is a risk, with SWs it is pretty much zero.

To some degree it does seem like the danger is being overstated but a lot comes down to what do you have to loose and how are you likely to react in certain situations. Like we have seen recently on various boards, the police in some places are cracking down on SWs. Do you think that their phones or not inventoried and perhaps the numbers checked? Do you really think that when they get arrested they would not say "There's this guy whose phone number I know, I can call him and he will solicit me."?
Also, like Velasco said, most of them do not have reliable phone plans so you getting their number won't help in most cases, especially depending on their social circle. I have had tons of SW tell me about how their phone was lost, stolen... Do you really want some stranger (who would do who knows what for money) to have your phone number?
It's also just my opinion but I would not want these chicks calling me on their terms anyway. Think about it you would only call when you needed a fix from them, so when are they likely to call you? Probably when they are desperate for money, feeling too lazy to walk the street or in need of quick cash. Trust me as a guy who has been around you do not want to mess with these chicks in any of those situations.
I get the impression that most of us are in the work a day trade and have cell phone plans, which means that it is possible to find most of our home addresses based on our cell phone numbers. This might be overkill but how would you feel if one of these chicks showed up at your house one day?
IMO the safest thing next to just going with the luck of the draw (cruising and if you see your favorites great if not there are other nights) is having a disposable cell phone.

I've been a little slack as far a reporting my findings as I've not been partaking in the hobby as often. So I'll share some recent intel I gathered.
The holloway area is not as thriving as it once was and I have yet to find another quality track.
*April (the red head) is working out of a house not so expect to pay higher prices, but you will have a safe environment.
*Danielle (young blonde around 20) has been back out for a while. She is nice looking and for the most part keeps her habit under control. There is something that seems a bit seedy about her but she is worth picking up. She is homeless so she tends to be out later at night.
*Melissa (mid 30's brunette) she seems to be around more consistently. I've seen her a few times and have only been let down twice. The last time I saw her did not go well. She is apparently into one of the local dealers and got weirded out when he showed up to the notel (probably on his own business. Needless to say her behavior led me to get rid of her as quickly as possible.
*Dana (older blonde) is still out. She is a thief so if you pick her up be careful.
*Jodi (cute blonde that I sadly did not get to know) was recently arrested according to one of the other girls.
*Megan (cute dark blonde) is pregnant and for the most part staying away.

I went out last Tuesday and as the title says had an eventful night.

Two weeks ago I was cruising on a Saturday, something I rarely do, when I happened upon a WSW named Jenny on the street between Driver and Hyde Park. ThanksFrankly, the best advice I can give you on Durham is "don't bother." The streets here have been really dead.
If you do come, the only hotel that is near the monger action is the Budget Inn at 2101 Holloway St. I wouldn't spend the night there on a dare. It might make you wish you were back in Iraq.

ThanksI'm not sure if you left, but you may want to just pass by Durham. From what I've read Raleigh seems to be just as bad. Maybe you should head to a larger metropolitan area. If you just feel like you have to pass through Durham I have seen a few girls out lately.
There is generally a selection of older BSW out and they are not hard to find. An older WSW named Dana is out most nights, I see her walking probably 75% of the time I cruise. I've seen Melissa / April out with a bit more frequency. She's a skinny brunette who usually has huge bags under her eyes but on the plus side she gives good head when she's not busting. From time to time I see a WSW named Jennifer out, but I was told by someone that she has the bug (which she denies) so if you pick her up wrap it up for everything. Monday night I also saw an older blonde who I did a car date with a couple of months ago. ThanksActually, I have stayed a the Budget Inn on a number of occasions for the purpose of mongering. It wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The great thing about it is that there are several girls who "live" there that you will seldom find on the street. They are pretty cautious about walking. Some also have "friends" who occasionally visit. Usually they share a pipe and spend a night or two. If you get a room there, it is pretty easy to have your car parked near your room. I would suggest getting a lot of change. There is concession machine that has drinks and snacks. Having a lot of change will allow you to make several trips to the machine which is located near registration. You will likely have a stroke of luck on one of the trips.

Actually, I have stayed a the Budget Inn on a number of occasions for the purpose of mongering. It wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be... So there I was, Durham, North Carolina in a room at the Budget. As soon as I got there, and only half my bags in the room, some big middle aged black lady was behind me closing my curtains wanting to 'talk to me'. I quickly told her I wasn't interested and wanted to be alone.
Got the rest of my things indoors, locked the door behind me, and went out to go get some dinner. Also, got a pack of cigs and requested three in quarters from a tip I got previously from Triangleman. Brought back a steak sub that wasn't half bad (but you're not interested in my dinning experience) and when I was half way through, a slim looking black chick walks by. She knocks at my window and I waved her off. A little later another black chick walks by and gives me the look. If any of you guys are interested in black chicks, this place would be paradise for you. But it's just not my thing. Don't care for brillo pads, but hey, that's just me.
Took a moment and went to the snack machine when I noticed a health looking white chick. Played cool with her but noticed.

I decided to do some mongering along the regular spots of Durham last night. I rarely post about something that is "usual". However, this was only a second time seeing this for me. Between periods of rain, I spotted a young Mexican woman who seemed to be in her twenties. She had an umbrella and was walking while talking on a cell phone near the church on Holloway. I circled and found that she was walking in the opposite direction. I decided to ask her if she needed a ride. She hopped right in and immediately asked if I wanted a date. To my surprise, her English was very good. This girl was the finest SW that I've seen in quite awhile. I would rate her a 9+ on a non-SW scale! I took her to one of my spots. She actually did not hang out on the corner forever like some of the permanent fixtures you always see on Holloway and around.

I passed through Holliway around 5:40pm on Saturday. Nearly every SW in Durham was on Holloway between Hyde Park and the two Auto Stores. Some I had not seen in nearly a year. Betty Joe, Jennifer, Donna. Several of the regulars were also out. There was one new girl that I've never seen before. She is short (5'3") , has bright red hair and a dynamite body. No, she was not April. She was down near Auto Zone. I couldn't stop because I had picked Donna up only two minutes earlier. Could't be impolite since I had not seen her for several months. This was the biggest congregation of SWs in Durham that I have seen in more than five years. An hour later the streets were nearly dead.

Been reading the boards, and mongering for years, just to scared to post. I'm going to try and get over that today. I usually cruse once or twice a week and usually during the day. Crazy experience, I guess I was lucky to emerge unscathed from this, as a cop could very easily have seen us at that time of the night. Late post. Last week I cruised Holloway around 6:00pm. Went east to west first. Spotted a girl at the covered bus top but thought she was a school girl, mainly because of her dress. Headed to Hardee's (can I say that on here?) to grab a Frisco Burger and like NC Wanderer said, there was heat everywhere. I figured there was no chance of seeing anything on the street. I grabbed my burger and headed towards home. As I turned the corner by the Parts Store there was April. Never one to pass up a chance I did a quick scann for Leo and didn't see one so I stopped and let her in. First thing I noticed is that she has put on several (as in a bunch of) pounds. She was looking rough as hell and totally spaced out. I was about to tell her no thanks and let her out when leo pulled in behind me so I kept on going until I turned and Leo kept going straight. I look over and April is totally zoned out. I wake her up and she says the heat (temp) has got her worn out. I agree, it was a little warm. We drive on towards my secret spot and within seconds she is passed out again. Now I ain't totally stupid and I know it's not the heat causing her to zone out like this. Now I have known April for a long time and I know her service so I am hopeful she will "wake up" once we get down to business. Boy was I wrong. The "H" has got a hold of her so bad she is totally out of it. I turn the car around, let her pass out, wake her when we get back to her area and say goodbye. I think if she doesn't get off the junk, her days as one of the better SW's is over. Even if she does. She's becomming old news. JMHO.

GhostA lot of the girls go days without sleep so as soon as they sit down they start to doze. The crack girls use a hit to wake them up. My friend would tell me she needed a wake up. She stays up all night may sleep in the morning or she may go all day and night again.
