The one and only time I had a run-in with cops on the street (almost completely due to my stupidity) the lead officer, who was very polite, asked me if I "just had to get laid, then go to an escort. " His reasoning with me was that it was much safer than the street. Now I know that was just one officer, but he was practically telling me to use escorts.
But my point is this: because escorting and massage parlors are seen as more "legitimate", although certainly still illegal, the girls feel they are justified in charging more. Sure, sometimes the higher price is due to covering overhead expenses (a separate apartment to do business in for an escort or the whole building expense for an MP) or because the pimp or agency wants their bigger cut. But all in all, if a girl moves from the street to BackPage or Craigslist she automatically charges more. It is highly regulated, and most localities only will license a certain number of houses) A lot lizard in the truck stop one county away is much cheaper than the exact same quality of girl in a legal house in the next county. Much cheaper. Just look at the prices they charge at the Bunny Ranch on that HBO program. And most of those girls are not even all that hot.
I know there are arguments on both sides of this issue, and I know someone could certainly take my points and turn them around somewhat. But all in all, even if prostitution was legalized everywhere it would pretty much be as it is in Nevada. Even where it is legalized there are certain aspects that are still illegal. Believe me, streetwalking will ALWAYS be illegal even in places where prostitution is legal, because it will always be viewed by lawmakers as intrinsically unsafe (and I think that is a valid point).
All in all, I am okay with things the way they are. In 30 years of mongering, I have only had the one instance where I have been ticketed. Never arrested. And I have been on the streets A LOT in those 30 years. For the most part, being patient and keeping your eyes open goes a long way.

That's a bummer, she was really something else. I came to understand that her participation in the hobby was as much fulfilling her needs as a way to make $$$ - she was a true nympho - and can't imagine she'd be truly happy without willing guys to satisfy her. Ah yeah, the Crest! In the 80s, I remember going to the Crest bookstore, or maybe it was something in the same neighborhood, which had those chicks in windowed-off rooms that you could talk with and beat off in front of. However, I was able to chat online w/her and dig a bit deeper to confirm she wasn't really in the area after all. We all have to remember that no matter how realistic the scam in such emails, the fact that it's a scam always comes through when they want you to sign up for something and give up that CC #. They can't make any money off you unless they have damning info about you.Your IP address from where you are sending your messages tell most vendors where you are coming from. If you have ever noticed the ads from AdultFriendFinder where they tout the fact that there are "hot women" in your immediate area, and usually insert the name of the city where your Internet Provider is located? That is a small scale use of geolocation. If you want to through off scammers like that when posting CL ads, then I would recommend the use of a proxy server in conjunction with a web based email account. When you use a site like hidemyass. Org and ones like it to browse to your web mail, it will "fool" the recepient into believing that you are somewhere else. Even another country! Scammers hate this and it will usually cause most of them to quit before proceeding further.

Fact is. By shutting those boards down, they dealt a huge blow to the organized "prostitution ring" across MI. They have eliminated the connection that so many men and women used to meet. There is no longer one area that escorts can advertise and know that many potential clients will see them. Many of those escorts will probably go out of business.
As for the male members (of which I have no doubt the majority were simply curious lurkers) , it would be interesting to know how they will "survive."

Wow Long Time Guys well anyway I been on hiatus due to my working alot and tried to get into some old accounts and couldn't figure out why however after reading some of your posts I now see why they closed the sites WTF. Org and ones like it to browse to your web mail, it will "fool" the recepient into believing that you are somewhere else. Even another country! Scammers hate this and it will usually cause most of them to quit before proceeding further.Try tor, it runs a little slower, but hell you could cruise any website and have them think its coming from China, russia, or any place you choose. Just a simple click on an icon swaps servers.

Hey, can one or more of you guys give me a little primer on getting a room at one of our beloved notels? Back during my second marriage, I tried 12-step to give it up, but it didn't work and neither did that marriage.
I couldn't ask for much more than I have now in a partner, but that mongering m.o. is so, so hard to give up. Second nature, now. So maybe I'll be back in a week, maybe not. Hope not, for the sake of my soul.

Using their spot invariably results in a scam or see&the like the's experience. Hell, I've even had them follow me 10 miles to my upscale hotel suite; both pimps and LE. The mistakes I made were to not watch the six; every-time. If you watch that, at least you'll have some time to "sell" LE.

Never send them money. Ever. Never give them money upfront. I always give my sugar baby her present as she is leaving.
You set the rules. Some of these scammers will act lkke they have a bunch of rules and that they are the boss. No, they are not. You, are the boss, the daddy. Follow the rule from the movie Heat, and be prepared to drop a sugar baby in 30 seconds flat if she starts being a pain and trying to make the rules.
Never date a sugar baby or enter into any kind of relationship unless you stop being the sugar daddy and giving her money. If she really wants a relationship, then it is a relationship and no longer a sugar daddy / baby relation. This is because there are scams where the girl will act like she loves you just to get you to weaken on the rules.
You don't have to be a dick, you just need to set rules and never, ever, falter. I'm actually not sure if I already posted this, but regardless, it good rules to follow if you want to try the sugar daddy thing. It does require more time investment, but the reward can be great. Just be careful and protect yourself at all times, and always, always, be in charge.
If you join a sugar daddy site, you will soon be able to eliminate potential sugar babies just on how they word their profile, ie any chick who acts like she is the boss or is looking for a submissive sugar daddy, aka an atm. Don't even bother with those chicks, treat them like you would a BP scammer.
