I would advise to steer very clear of Companions. While you MIGHT find one of their ladies that doesn't upsell, that would be the exception to the rule. I've heard that they actually teach their escorts the fine art of the upsell. Since they now own the Utah Doll House as well... ditto. About the only agency that is even close to legit these days is Babydolls.

So I went on just a cruise around last night (because I'm not into SW's, I just contribute what I see to the board) and on N. T. If it is during the day, take a walk through Pioneer Park. If you don't find something to your liking, try state street between 8th S and 21st S.

If CL is complying with the request to start charging for the erotic ads and you are sure this was as of last week, do you know how much they are charging? Is it minimal? How/what do they collect from the providers? Do they have to join some sort of sevice or pay per ad or ? If they pay per ad, then I would bet the mad flagger biz is not going to be in affect since now they could already be considered a legitimate ad for CL since it is bought and paid for. Point is, minimal fees should be nothing for the providers to kick out for this kind of advertising and now maybe they can be assured there ad isn't going to get flagged.
So far I haven't seen too much posted in other areas. There seems to be more BS posts in the erotic section but the therapeutic section I am not seeing much nor in the casual sections. Maybe I am looking in the wrong sections?

I am not involved in this 24/7 nor am I going to get technical on CL posting procedures. Take the info for what you will. Since a select few seem not to want to take the advice at hand, I would suggest that they look around on the other boards and maybe they will find what the seek.
If people are smart enough they can find what the want on CL buy maybe creating a CL account and seeing how much it is for these ads. Maybe that will tell them some info.
So take the advice for what is it. If you don't want to take it I guess U will be on the roster at the jail.

Posted: 6:25 PM- The Salt Lake City Police Department busted 20 men Thursday during a prostitution decoy sting.
The seven-hour operation occurred from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the area of 715 W. and North Temple, said police spokeswoman Lara Jones. The ages of the men arrested ranged from 21 to 75 years old.
Jones said the police department deals daily with prostitution in Salt Lake City and has recorded 300 arrests, so far, in 2008. North Temple and State Street are problem areas, she said. Prostitution also is increasing near downtown homeless shelters and Pioneer Park.

Yeah. Makes a lot more sense to call in a false report to the cops. WM took the right approach; it wasn't like he confronted the dude at the door with his weapon, he was merely defending himself in preparation. If the "driver" broke in it would be well within in a reasonable person's purview. But the guy knew better, he was just hoping by causing a scene at the door he'd get some STFU money. Props to WM for standing his ground.
Even though Utah has pretty weak Castle Doctrine laws, it's a lot better than some places. While a sticky circumstance, what with the pay for play factor in there, he was well within his rights:

There's actually quite a few postings making those types of statements and they are not only from ladies. While browsing through the casual encounters section, they should be rather clear, especially when they contain titles like "Seeking Generou$". If you do a craigslist search, they will not appear because the "$" symbol doesn't work in the CL search field, but while scrolling through, you'll see dozens of them. Not all of them are LE stings though, as I have met up with a few of them, but for the most part, I would be a bit weary.
By the way, I haven't seen any girls on CL making those types of statments.

When he got there, according to him, the girls tried to get him to talk about money and specific acts, and he played it coy, but after a few minutes the cops came in the door and the girls ran out, and he got a solicitation citation. I gave him the name of a good lawyer, we shall see how it works out. But the thing that struck me was that the girls were cute and were allegedly going to double-team him for an hour for $300 according to CL. So you really have to ask yourself about whether the offer is too good to be true or not when you are responding to ads."

I also agree with TN that it is pretty easy to look back and say how hard is it to search for DavisCounty sheriff. But bottom line is, is that it doesn't really give out that much info on busts or potential busts does it Ron? Or maybe I should have been able to see it, or should I say, identify authentic provider or not based on some intangible source out there? Curious, until RWs post about the info on a sting in SL, I have never seen background given to prior stings. Only big broadcast news, for example, about a bust of 7 guys in Layton over a CL ad with little to no details about what actually went down. I wondered if that was part of the bargaining and plea to not spell out details after?
Would be good info to read. I mean, things like what the ad posted, what kind of chances did the guy have to back out of the situation, or how obvious the act of solicitation was, etc.

Saw on the news this morning they worked Monday 11a to 7p and netted 32 between the State Street and North Temple strolls.
Well I missed the news report, but again as I stated before, I would like to learn more about background info. Such as what did the guys do to slip up? Did they actually solicit or is it some trumpt up charges? I wonder if 31 out of the 32 will get off if they plead not guilty because they don't have enough to go by? I just think that sometimes when they do a bust like this, they bust everyone in sight and then hope to weed it all out later and or hope they get a judge to hear all the same cases and that will throw the book at them just because it was all inclusive with the group of arrests. Guilty by proximity.
I have heard before that if they want to make the bust they will whether they have the evidence or not. Meaning they don't have to have record of the words out of your mouth, you are guilty simply because you are in their presence and they say you are.

Here are some pics I took of the POPO after I saw them out on Monday.
I was out cruising Monday when I saw a cute "WSW" and I decided to bite. I pulled up and asked if she needed a ride, when she wouldn't get in I hightailed it out of there and no I did not get busted. As I was leaving I noticed the other "WSW" and figured they were the coppers. Luckily I had my camera and zoom lens with me, so I drove to a secluded location, got out of my car and walked to a point where I could snap some photo's hopefully unseen. And yes, I was shaking in my boots. While I was taking pics I noticed a silver Benz (? ) always within visual of the girls, probably backup. Anyways, I snapped some photos and hightailed it out of there. But before I left I did see them bust 2 poor bastards who obviously didn't know the rules.

No big deal. I just didn't see what the point was in all the coloration and what not. If you already have an ID here, if it was me I'd have just posted the pics from there. I guess you were thinking if they were going to search for you because of the pics you posted, then they'd have no other information from your posts to go by or use against you if they did find you. Either way, if you were 'standing' somewhere when you took the pics, then that was out in the open to begin with. What if they were doing video surveillance of the area while they were doing their sting and happened to watch through the video, a guy snapping pics of the decoys from across the street might look out of place to begin with. If you were taking the pics at a location that would give away your identity to begin with if someone figured out where you are, then I understand all the precautions. I guess it's the same as when I found a pic of a vice cop that once stopped me on the front page of our local paper and thought about posting it for others to see. I figured if I posted his pic it might make them gung ho in wanting to fry me because I'd revealed their identity, and I chose not to post it. The pic was from a huge memorial service for 3 cops killed in the line of duty, so they were just posting the crowd, and I'm sure the undercover vice really loved his pic on the front page. Anyway, if those girls you posted were decoys, they could have picked better looking girls to attract attention, those girls looked rough.

I read an article about it yesterday how alot of cities are turning to citations in order to replace lowered revenues because of the economy. Now after Geitners speech yesterday, and the subsequent tanking of the market, it will be getting much worse before it improves. Hang on to your jobs, pay your mortgage, and lay low for a while is my recommendation. I personally have simply stopped looking. It's not worth it.

I dropped my neighbor off at AP&P today and while waiting for him, I found the girl who works with the guy on the bike. I guess she's on probation or something, she was walking with a staff member so I didn't approach her, but while outside smoking, I ran into two other previous working girls, one of whom gave me new digs which really benefited me because the streets are far too hot right now for me to be out on the prowl. What's your hometown just curious? We're all of course awares or try to be anyway and understandably with lotsa precaution because it does seem pervasive here with the heavy rash of police/vice stings, busts, shakedowns, etc. PM's okay.
