Just got back from a long weekend @ Mirage, things have definitely dried up here in terms of quantity and quality.

A two-year investigation led to these charges. Police say the four men transported women across state lines into Las Vegas to work as prostitutes. The men used four different homes in a radius of about two to five miles apart.

Authorities say they persuaded the women, some of whom were in Las Vegas illegally to work at the brothels as prostitutes. The women were primarily of Asian decent.

A neighbor who lives near one of the homes tells Eyewitness News she knew something suspicious was going on.

"I saw people. Cabs would be there at night. I thought maybe cab drivers lived there together and they would just run in and get something to eat and run back out and did their work because I never saw anybody. No cars in the drive way. No signs of anyone living there except like four to six trash cans over flowing," she said.

Lauren Hermossillo is with the Salvation Army and works with Metro's Human Trafficking Department. She says signs like this should be a red flag to neighbors.

"If you see people not coming out in the normal hours, taxi cabs approaching the house, limos approaching the house, individuals walking in and out of the house in the middle of the night, you probably have a brothel," she said.

Chris HI gave it a try several years ago. People there will accurately describe it as a womans place. There were probably 20 guys for each gal, not good odds. I did get lucky at the end of the night with one lady. This encouraged me to go back a second night. thinking I would have more success with added experience. This was a wrong assumption, best action all night was to fondle some boobs. There generally wasn't much action to watch either. They have a separate floor for couples only. I'm not doubting that LE has increased presence in casinos, particularly one owned by McHarrahs*. But I am dumbfounded as to what LE could to other than detain you, unless you confess. You walked up to an attractive girl and talked to her and she agreed to hang out with you. I'm guessing that happens more often in Vegas on a 10:1 ratio to escort hookups.

I have stayed at Flamingo many times as well, they were the best, but trust me it has changed. About 2 am go by wheel of fortune by bar and the undercover will be by registration area calling out the CG as they walk down the hallway and you will see. You will be watched closely if you talk to them.

2nd when I left room had radio on low, guess someone complained and when I returned radio was unplugged and no note someone was in my room!

This is vastly different than the "setups" and security checks described in those other posts.

Harrahs has casinos throughout the country, particularly in the south and midwest. They award points to slot players like any other casino. But there are two things that make Harrahs unique. First, since they have such a large network of casinos, they can gift people trips to various locales. Second, Harrahs rooms are probably the easiest room comp to get in Vegas. Harrahs is very generous about that. It just happens that Harrahs and Ballys are Harrahs low end properties in Vegas(well, they were before the acquisition of IP and Bills). So they give away a ton of free rooms in Vegas to their slot players in the midwest. And that is the demographic that comprises Harrahs and Ballys. Needless to say, security kicks a lot of girls out. But I've nailed cgs at both places...brough them back to my room. I've never had any problem doing that.

I am posting this in General Reports because I am going to hit on a few different subjects.

What does an "Hourly Rate" hotel cost for an hour anyway? I've never had the need to use one, but I'm curious.

On Fremont south, go the 49er motel. It's just south of that spanish club. Indian dude will charge you .30 and leave your id with him for a hour rate and he will supply you with towels/rags/and soap for cleanup. Rubbers are extra.

Any of them cheap no-tels on Fremont will hook you up for a decent price. Be careful with fremont cuz LE makes stings checking to make sure the room sign-in matches with keys signed out and occupancy.

FWIW, El Cortez is $30 a night weekdays.....seems like excellent if you are off on a weekday and already know you will be searching out poon all day.....rooms ain't great, but are better than the notels along Fremont and Boulder. If you need a place on the strip, Imperial Palace is $25-35 a night on many weekdays. Palace station is as low as $34(I actually think sometimes as low as $17), Boulder Station is as low as $29 a night, Arizona Charlies is $35 a night and if you need to class things up and will be staying 3 nights, Golden Nugget typically does weekdays at $59 a night with one night free(so basically $40 a night).

So basically, there is no need for the hourly places.

Also, I've heard accounts of promising a lot and delivering little or nothing for $$ or $$$. More was typically available but why spend $$$-$$$$$ when (a) you don't know what she will look like until she gets there and (b) you don't know what is on the menu or for how much when much better options exist with casino girls, on craig's list or through established escorts. I have been visiting Vegas for many years now and if I have learned one thing, it is that Vegas agencies have a horrible reputation. Lots of reported rip offs, bait and switch, up sells and just poor services or no service. Casino Girls are a step up but there is still a chance of rip off or robbery with them. Not sure what is wrong with a couple of the local provides, but thier business sense is off track. I knew I was coming to Vegas and a month ago I started making my initial contacts with who I wanted to see.
