Well I finally made it to NE today and was really surprised. Thanks to the tips I'd received from a few of you, all went really well and I was really impressed by the HJ. I have yet to hear anything about busts. Out of curiosity went by Solace, it was closed; however, I recall it says Mon-Fri. In FT ad. Went by 4S, business as usual. Out of curiosity I asked my attendant or the mamasan (I couldn't tell which b/c she looked 60, yet was offering F/S) about any busts. I'm suprised about the lack of news coverage regarding the bust of Solace. I didn't know anything about it until I read it mentioned on the board. I was a customer at Solace on a couple of occasions. While I'll miss Brittany and her huge rack, I'll not miss the cost of the place. When Brooks Haven in Lexington was busted a couple of years ago it was all over the news, both on TV and in the paper. I agree with No way Jose. One can find a sexy college girl at some of the clubs and have some great return, but as mentioned it does require some initial investment. This can be what appears to be a substancial investment in the beginning. I would greatly appreciate advice for a place to relax in Columbia? I do prefer a young/pretty masseuse. Four Seasons is on Two Notch and is the only Full Service AMP in town. That said, the last time I went there it was very pricy and not that great. New Energy is the best overall experience, though they offer only a handshake, but that's across town from Two Notch. Lotus is on Two Notch and can be very good, or very average, and is also a handshake AMP. Solace was the only non-Asian FS place left in town.

Within the parameters of "hope not to have to travel far", Lotus is about the best you can do.

Thanks for the update on NE. It sounds like they were out of business for 2 + weeks, which could cause some turnover. I'll probably get out there this week sometime and see if my favorite is there. While there are pickings to be had as mentioned, I have come to find the street action a little too risky. This may sound odd considering some of my past postings, but I had some "weirdness" lately and it's becoming more common than uncommon that the street can deal you suprises you DON'T want.

The money may be higher, but the risk is lower in almost all respects. Just be sure to go with a reviewed provider from CL or some such place. Cola is far from dry. When you know who to call, they can make it rain every time.

I am pleased to report NE reopened three days ago and it is as good as ever. Apparently there were some delays in the clean up from the small fire they had in the entry hall. They took the time to clean it up. I did not notice any dramatic change in decor, but it looked fine. Steam room was being regrouted and was out of commission.
Saw one of my all time favorites and got wonderful service as always.
Some of us were worried they might close down for good or lose some of their best talent, so I was happy to see that OPEN sign flashing.

While crusing through Cayce the other day I noticed a temporary banner/sign posted on a strip mall that stated "Massage Therapy Coming January 2010". Since the title was so simplistic I guess its at least possible it could be a future AMP. Although I've always had a good time when I've seen Britney, I used to think she was a bit overpriced 5 years ago at The Studio, and she has certainly not gotten any less expensive, any younger or any better-looking since then. I'm not sure how Solace can stay in business unless their business model has changed recently.

I last went to 4 Seasons about 6 months ago. The service wasn't anything to get excited about. The provider was in her mid 40s at least and while she was enthusiastic her skills were lacking to say the least. I prefer my providers to be a bit younger.

Has anyone been to Solace lately?
