While bad for some people especially the ones who make a living there, the closings actually help out most Mongers. I will explain why.

The law of supply and demand, Americia's way of life. LE eliminated the supply, unfortunately for them there are still a lot of horny men out there. Demand for pussy increases and the women who were thinking about getting into the business see the potential dollars.

When LE made us safer in Waterbury the amount of active sw increased along with the part timers and private stock girls. It is not as easy finding them as driving to an AMP but they are there. The old club in Hartford (forgot the name) was closed and now some of the women from there are working as escorts.

Even to be frank, the quantity of Strippers willing to do take out is way up. Now, I am no expert on Strippers and I know I am not that good looking but for me every time I go to a club I can get a number or set up a date. I don't do it often because strippers are a type of creature that scare me and my wallet.

Like Jerry says "The final word" for me is any closing or arrest of a sex worker or John is a bad thing BUT it dosen't mean the sky is falling. Like in business if a revenue stream dries up you find annother or the business closes. I am not ready to retire yet.

Steel buddy I think your economic analysis is only partially right. Price is a function of supply and demand. If demand remains the same while supply goes down, the price goes up. So unless you are rich, the closings hurt because it is doubtful enough women are going to enter the marketplace to offset the lost suppliers.

As a general rule of economics, any reduction in supply hurts consumers.

Have to second what someone else recently posted on prettywoman. She has recently begun posting on CL, has had the same ad in the advocate for a long time. respectfully disagree with Mr. White. I have had some of my best times at Star and everyone else can too if they aren't looking for spinners. As to the women being "ugly", who among us is George Clooney?

Tip what you're comfortable with. Some guys get away with tipping nothing (they don't get treated well if they return). Other guys will throw much more the girls' way. City officials said they are concerned about one massage parlor in particular. Several men have written graphic accounts online of their sexual experiences at a Bristol spa.

NBC 30 is not identifying the spa, because no arrests have been made.

"I am quite surprised it's here in Bristol," Bristol resident Steven Gardner said. "I didn't think that stuff would still be going on, but I mostly hear about it in major cities, that I know of."

Bristol's police chief heard about the spa's alleged services and notified city officials.

"Apparently there's a massage parlor in town that he's aware of that he's been concerned about, and he's asked us to look into adopting an ordinance that would give him some ability to better control this massage parlor," said Craig Minor, council member and chair of the Ordinance Committee.

At an ordinance committee meeting, city officials discussed what could be done to keep make to keep sex spas out of Bristol.

"We don't want to make a problem for legitimate massage businesses, because there is a big distinction between massage therapy and the massage parlors that we are concerned about," Minor said.

The ordinance committee is determining which rules are already on the books and if any new ordinances could be written to help the city deal with the problem.

BRISTOL — Worried that illicit massage parlors — which provide more than a relaxing rubdown — could make inroads in Bristol, city councilors said Tuesday they plan to push through a new law that would impose stiff regulation.

“We’re trying to limit the criminal element,” said Dale Clift, who was recently appointed as city attorney.

City officials privately pointed to activities that Internet discussion boards claim are taking place at Star Spa Acupressure on North Street as one of the driving forces for cracking the whip now.

“We’ve got to do something before” more sex-oriented shops open in town, said city Councilor Mike Rimcoski.

Detective Sgt. Christopher Lennon said he proposed the legislation a year ago after a massive crackdown in Waterbury led him to worry that fake massage purveyors might try their luck in Bristol next.

He said his request wasn’t spurred by concern about any shops in Bristol, merely the possibility that some might move to town.

“It was mostly a preemptive issue,” Lennon said.

Nothing much happened on Lennon’s request until Ordinance Committee members took up the measure this spring.

Several city officials said they are aware of rumors of illicit activities taking place at the Star Spa, a shop that an online poster calling himself Sinergy69 said gave him “a rubdown that damn near knocked me out,” followed by significantly more.

He might find it a little harder to pay for less than therapeutic massage if councilors push through the statute they’re eyeing.

Clift said the key feature of the ordinance used in Waterbury was a requirement that massage parlors get a permit from the police, which includes fingerprinting employees and taking pictures to make sure they don’t have criminal backgrounds.

The provision makes it much easier to shut someplace down if a crime is committed, Clift said.

The ordinance doesn’t apply to massage therapists who are licensed by the state, medical offices and other clearly reputable establishments, officials said.

“We don’t want to criminalize massage therapy,” said city Councilor Craig Minor, who chairs the Ordinance Committee.

City Councilor Kevin McCauley said that just forcing people who want to open a massage parlor to apply to the police will scare many of them off.

Someone posting under the name MrMike1952 claimed to have “visited the same spa in Bristol” that he had once before.

“I was hoping to see Mina, who did such an incredible job the first time. She was busy, so I went with Janie or Jeannie, I’m not sure of her name. She is younger and prettier, and she seems to have as much fun playing with you as Mina,” MrMike1952 said.

“She uses some of the same techniques, but her giggle at seeing how my body reacted to her touch sounded like she was really having fun. The only issue with her is that her English is virtually nonexistent,” he continued.

“I’m not going to go into so much detail this time, except to say that this girl was even better. Unbelievable. Great table shower. Very nice massage ...” he wrote.

“She has a ... wonderful sensitivity to how you are reacting to what she does,” he said.

Another poster on the site said that he always gets “the same” for his $70 — apparently a similar massage to what MrMike1952 enjoyed.

Several phone calls to the spa were not answered Monday.

Before exploring the need for a new law to crack down on wayward massage parlors, members of the city’s Ordinance Committee said they would check to see if there’s already a provision in Bristol’s zoning rules governing appropriate massage.

There are no zoning regulations governing massage, Zoning Commission Chairman Frank Johnson said Monday.

He expressed surprise that the issue arose.

“Isn’t that closing the barn door after the horse gets out?” Johnson asked.

Minor, who heads the ordinance panel, said the police could commit “a massive amount of overtime” to investigate the problem to see if criminal laws were violated.

But the ordinance panel may step in with a new statute to lend a hand.

The issue is among those on the panel’s agenda for its 6:30 p.m. meeting today at City Hall.

Johnson poked a little fun at the whole notion of cracking the whip on shady massage parlors.

“Every town is supposed to have one, for the benefit of the people in the next town over,” Johnson said.

Your last sentence is rather incriminating. I would suggest, that if you want us to be careful, you shouldn't have mentioned that you received a BBBJTCIM at the R&T in Bristol.

Even though it was posted in the Meriden thread, if LE is referencing this site as they say they are, your graphic description naming the town was the kiss of death. They don't have to mention the name of this site: the handles are the giveaway. You and a couple of other guys are mentioned. WE know they are using this site.

Why do you all think that anyone involved in law enforcement don't have internet access, don't know how to use computers, or know about this site? This site has been read by LE for over 10 years now, and contrary to what you'd like to believe, your tales of what happens in these establishments contributes to them being raided and eventually shut down. Its a shame they are coming down on all these legitimate businesses.

They are paying their rent, paying their taxes, no ones getting hurt, they keep the building clean, they are providing a safe service. I've run across mostly nice people.

(There were 2 working Friday mid-day) The one I got actually looked similar to the mother of an ex-girlfriend of mine, so I enjoyed everything from that twisted perspective.

The building has been re-designed only slightly. The table shower has been removed from the shower room, and the doors to the rooms are screwed permanently open, with curtains used to provide partial privacy to the rooms.

Price was .6 for a half hour, .7 for a full hour. (I thought it used to be less.) I paid for the full hour... the extra .1 just came out of the tip as I walked in with a fixed $ amount anyway.

I showered (myself) and saunaed for about 10 minutes, and a for the remaining 50 minutes had a very good legit massage. There was no move on her part toward anything that could be interpreted as hanky-panky.

After my hour was up, I was allowed to stay a little extra time and continue the massage, as I felt that I still had a couple muscles that hadn't quite gotten all the kinks out yet. Two thoughts -

First, I doubt very much that many married women historically have opposed prostitution, quite a bit for the reasons you give above, and to some degree because of the fact that a suprisingly high %-age of prostitutes are married!

Second, unless one is careless with a SW or drunk stripper or lower-end prostitute, I'd say the danger of getting a disease from a "prostitute" is less than from a bimbo one meets in a singles bar. The mid-to-higher end prostitutes are VERY particular about their personal hygiene and safety. For one of us, if we catch a STD, minor or serious, it would affect our social lives - for them it affects their career.

I'm going to cut you some slack, because my newbie days produced at least one or two wimpy posts. You drive by every day. Do you know other people who drive by every day? Do they know you? Would they recognize your car? Do they drink coffee? Do you care? How would you feel explaining to them that you were only after a massage? You're getting picked on a bit for your post, but most of us are pretty cautious and struggle to think with the big head as much as possible. There's no shame in that, but as Yoda says, "do or do not... there is no try."

So at this point you might want to consider after-dark only. When you get in, basically smile, say yes to almost anything you are asked, and fork over the house fee. Go to the room. Strip. At Avalon, my favorite place (RIP) I never had to tip until after it was all said and done. I mean when EVERYTHING was finished and I was dressed. Same thing at Fuji/VIP. Don't know why; maybe I've got a face that says: generous. Of course, all a guy has to do is "over tip" once and the word gets out, "Keep quiet and this guy will take care of you."

I agree with Sarang Haeyo and Vargr that the place has alot to do with it. I think who you are and who the lady is factors into it also. Went out last night. Hung over today but here is my story (because I cannot think straight to do real work). All number rankings are stripper ranking, not streetwalker rankings.

Driving thru Bristol last night on my way to Rockstar to meet some friends. I passed Star on Rt 6 and thought if the night was a bust, that I would have to try this place out afterwards.

If it means anything here is my two cents and I learned it the same way you did. If you go to a "real amp" ie. Happy ending, then the tip should be at least 40.00. If your going to a place where there are extras then the # goes up commensurate with the accommodation, ie. FS at least $.

If anyone wants to correct me feel free but this is how I learned it.
Also remember until you get known in a particular place for the exception of the obvious ones, initially all you may get is a back rub to make sure your not Uncle LEO!

I know I gave a tip that was too low. Hey, my first time at an AMP so I am still learning.

There were a few things that in my mind did not add up to a higher tip.
