I'm from the LA area and sent a PM to a senior member of the SD board for a bit of info, this member posts quite a bit so I was sure he would be able to provide a fellow monger from up North a bit of advice regarding SD. He read my message and didn't even bother to respond. I initially thought to myself "it's not a big deal", but isn't the point of this site to share info so that we all have a postive experience doing what we do? I could understand if I was a newbie with 7 posts but that is not the case. Greetings. I've not yet had the opportunity to visit San Diego -- I've got all I can handle here in Tampa, thank you -- but I just wanted to pass along my compliments to the photojournalists on this board. Excellent photography, great work chronicling the scenery.
It's damn nice to see that most ladies in San Diego seem to dress for the occasion, with heels, tight shorts, tiny dresses, etc., unlike the "just rolled out of bed" look that's so common to other cities.

MagicThe camera used to shoot those pics is a sony DSC-H2, the lens which is part of the camera and not interchangeable is a Carl Zeiss. My personal opinion is that the key to good SW shots is a powerful optical zoom. The camera has a 12X optical zoom and the shots are almost always at full zoom. Most of the shots are taken parked on one side of a street with 2 lanes in each direction plus a center turn lane plus parking on either side and the girls are walking on the other side of the street. As you can see the powerful zoom alows close up shots with out being close enough to be noticed. Although the camera is capable of 6 megapixel resolution all of the most recent photos were shot in VGA mode (640 x 480) since that is the highest resolution that can be posted on this site.
Best Buy has the latest vertion of this camera, Sony DSCH10, on sale for $250. I would definetly recomend buying the extended waranty for this product.

Enough about Hizark and his bs. Let's stick to what we want to find out about and that is what is going on on the street. Cruised again last night and action was decent. Went out about ten. East of the 805 were a pair of hot latinas. They didn't give the time of day, walked west of the 805 sat down on a bench across from Hollywood Video and about ten minutes later the cops were questioning them. The police questioned them for about 40 minutes let them go and they walked back over the 805. Saw Myla out, this girl is a little big but can be fun, by the time I circled she was picked up. It's pretty ridiculous. I have been harassed by the cops twice for simply pulling over and talking to a SW. This is one reason why I am picking up SW's primarilly picking up SW's during the day and early evening. Picking up SW's after 9:30 is to risky. The advantage of picking up SW's during the day is that it's there is usually less cops out and it is easier to spot them.

On my monthly trip to SD from LA, hit town at about 2 and got to ECB at about 4 pm. Started from the 805 and headed East, lots of girls out. Quite a few LE out there also but they seem to be concentrating on giving out traffic tickets. I frequent the LA tracks and this is the first time I've seen ECB look much better than the LA areas. Matter of opinion. I have gone out with zero intention of getting any (or let's just say I have very little intention.) I go to check it out. On those times, I also take a police scanner, just to listen to the happenings. I don't have a really good camera for taking surveillance pictures so I never really have tried. I know there is a certain thrill that comes from just seeing how things work. Armed with intel you have a much better chance or idea of what is going on. In the heat of a hunt sometimes, I know I do, we forget to consider the surrounding and what is going on. With some before hand knowledge you have a better chance, I think.
Or something like that. Or I just could be full of it too. But decades of hobbying have taught me to be very cautious. Only a couple of times have sort of bad things happened and they were really all my fault, each time. Knock wood a few times I was in the middle of some LE but had sense enough not to do something dumb and just left the area.

It could well be that the PD is encrypting. I am listening now to analog as I type. The RCS is digital and can be listened to also. Maybe there are some encrypted channels. I don't know. I guess I got to go read too.

Took a cruise down ECB, started at 11:00 p.m. At least 10 - 12 SW's out, mostly BSW, most of whom where dressed for success. Sporadic LEO presence.

No, I left shortly before 10pm so the cops must have started cracking down shortly afterwords. Also remember that the cops begin their shift change around 9:30. So they were delayed by a meeting or something. After 9pm or 9:30pm the cops tend to start cracking down when they begin a new shift. This is one reason I usually until 8:30 or 9 unless the action has shifted to then.
I believe the UC busted Sara (WSW brunette). Last time I was with her she seemed like a rush scammer.

I did meet 3 girls (different occasions) that worked at The Body Shop. They showed me their 'permit'. Like I said earlier it's especially important to be extra careful especially after 9-9:30pm. This is when the cops crack start cracking down after shift change.
One cop pulled up put his spotlights and stopped to question someone behind the old funeral parlor building across from lips. The cop drove north from Von's. After the cop finished questioning he made a U-turn. So the cop was prowling around on Orange av. Some of the SW's were being fairly obvious and attracting a lot of attention. I don't like it when a SW get's all dressed up. This simply attracts to much attention from the cops.
Cruised last night, for the last time..Picked up the hottie got stopped two blocks later. bad experience! Never again for me,it was a good run while it lasted.(15 years) Picked up safe new hobie -sky diving.

Met up with Candy last night. She has a 510 area code. Nice girl was wearing a black mini dress. She got in the car and wanted to go to her place in hotel circle for 100. I wanted to go home shower and meet up with her. Dropped her off, intended to get ready, but laid down for a minute and that was that for me last night. She seems like a very cool girl. Well, maybe I'm not cut out to be a car monger-like-guy-thing. I lost my vehicle in the line of duty. I think it would have wanted it to be just like that. Anyways I was cruising on when I saw this young blond looker waving at me. I slowly pulled to the side and she hopped in. She told me to head around the corner to a dark alley and proceeded to get the deed done. Chose an amount and proceeded to have all sorts of fun things go on. From BJ to fs. After she got out I turned up the gas and did a little reverse action on her. She fell face first in the concrete and saw my cash laying right by her dead body. I immediatly got out my vehicle and proceeded to collect my winnings, when out of nowhere a van what seems to be another guy with a SW crushed me between my truck and his. Night time cruising-LE:
1. When stopping for a SW avoid making a right hand turn on to the side street where you will pick up the SW and or use extra caution. The problem is that it's often hard to see if a cop is behind you if the traffic is heavy. I recommend circling to see if any cops are around.

P.S. You don't pluralize a noun with an apostrophe. The 's in WSW's does not mean more than one WSW-- e.g. WSW’s car for instance or the white street walker's nice ass or the WSW’s fussiness for not wanting to take direction. If for example you see two or three street walkers running from you, you would write something like, "as I approached them the WSWs took off running." But if they jumped in their car to escape from you, you could write "they took off in the WSW's car."
This forum is for not only posting info, but requesting info as well. Reports have become more useful now that the price of gas has risen and the action has become more sporadic over the years.

You can find SW's that are willing to go to your office. Collect some ph #'s and or pick them up. Just make sure you take the proper precautions. The cops have been cracking down more on mongers recently. They are stopping guys for merely talking to SW's. These days I try and pick up SW's during the day or before 9pm. It's easier to spot the cops in the day and the cops start cracking down around 9pm. Don't go where a SW's directs you and always drive a good distance. There is to much of a chance that some hood will be waiting for you. The other factor is that it's simply to easy for the cops to follow you if take them close by.

Cruised about 11pm and it was real slow. There were about 6 girls out total. Three bbsws, there was a good looking blond in a blue mini dress, and a couple decent looking bsws. I did not notice any regular girls with the exception of red headed Brenda who really doesn't do anything for me. I was also in the area about 3 p. M and there was absolutely nothing.
Things don't see all that slow if you saw 3 good looking SW's. Fridays tend to be a bit slower because there is usually more cops out. As for afternoons I have noticed that the action has slowed down and it tends to be mainly bsw's.

The Starbucks on 30th & ECB is closing. I am disappointed, because it is a great place to rest and observe the SW's. This way when the action is slow you can rest from cruisiing ans save some gas as well. Some people locals whine about the SW's and the occasional gang members. But west ECB has not changed much over the years. It's still a fairly safe neighborhood. If the cops want to clean up the area they should concentrate on arresting the pimps and gang members and some the loud SW's that cause problems.

These are sad times, I'm sure, at each of the 600 Starbucks stores that will be closed in the coming year.
But in at least one location on the corporate hit list, fresh trouble is brewing.
For more than a year, the Starbucks on the corner of 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard has been a brightly lighted outpost in a retail ghost town known as Renaissance at North Park.
Now that the coffee shop's days are numbered, folks can smell disaster in the air.
Like Starbucks, the chain that grew too big too fast, Renaissance at North Park was launched with lofty ambitions. It was the sort of “smart growth” civic leaders tout, even though its Mensa privileges have since been suspended.
The developer originally proposed building 30 townhomes on the 2˝-acre site, replacing some homes, a pawn shop, a beauty salon, and other small retail stores.
But the city wanted high-density housing and public spaces, hoping to reclaim a gritty street corner that was a magnet for hookers, gangsters and the homeless. Soon the kitchen was crowded with cooks.
The result: a four-story complex that would have affordable senior housing, stylish townhomes and a dynamic retail center, plus an Art Deco clock tower and a public courtyard with tables and chessboards.
It's been 14 months since it opened. Let's take an inventory.
Senior housing? Check.
Stylish townhomes? Check.
Clock tower? Check.
Dynamic retail center?
Checkmate.
The storefronts are empty, save two:
An H&R Block tax office, which is now closed, and the Starbucks, which opened at a time when the coffee chain's plans for world domination rivaled the oil industry's.
(No one has improved on the 1998 Onion headline: “New Starbucks Opens in Rest Room of Existing Starbucks.”)
The remaining 8,279 square feet of street-level office space is forlorn, posted with signs for the benefit of the hookers, gangsters and homeless people, who haven't gone away.
“Loiters beware,” they read. “This area is under security camera surveillance 24 hours. Police are being notified!! Code 647.”
A code 647, for those of you without police scanners, covers a wide variety of storefront activity: prostitution, begging, loitering, illegal lodging, lewd acts and public drunkenness.
All of which, residents say, they can still see regularly. Judith Jeanotte, a former flight attendant, said prostitution is so prevalent that johns solicit her on the sidewalks. She's 64.
But her bigger concern are the interior corridors and parking areas that are shielded from the street. The retail garage was long ago boarded up to keep the homeless out.
“Once the Starbucks goes, the gangs are moving in,” Jeanotte predicted.
Joe Bates, who manages the 96 units of senior housing for the San Diego Interfaith Housing Foundation, said Starbucks' foot traffic is the biggest factor in keeping out undesirables.
As it is now, Bates said, the pimps are so brazen that they drive into the parking garage to drop off their girls.
“Starbucks brings in a good amount of business-class, family-type people,” he told me. “The gang members and whatnot see that and most of the time they stay away from here. When they see it's empty, it's going to be a hangout spot.”
No one knows when that day will come. Starbucks employees say they've been told only that they'll get 30 days notice.
I visited the store last week, at an hour of peak caffeine consumption, and could see why it caught the attention of the corporate bean counters.
The place was unnaturally subdued. I counted one squatter with a laptop, and had the run of eight tables and four love seats. And without all that grinding, whipping and frappe-ing, I even heard the music.
Regulars love it, and say it's popular with the seniors who live upstairs. Some plan their weeks around a trip to Starbucks by walker; others rendezvous there for dates.
Long before Starbucks decided to pull the plug, I'd been monitoring progress at Renaissance, which opened with much hoopla in May 2007.
In January, I discussed its problems with project manager Joe Mottola, who works for the developer, Carter Reese & Associates.
I was interested, for example, whether anyone actually played chess at those concrete tables in the public breezeway. “I had nothing to do with that,” Mottola said. “This is what the city wanted. This was done under the city's guidance.”
Fair enough. But what were they going to do about the empty retail space? Maybe they could bring back the pawn shop and beauty salon?
Mottola said he was at work on a strategy to entice new tenants. It was built around – I kid you not – promoting Starbucks as the anchor tenant. Looks like it's time for Plan B.
Mottola's boss, Reese Jarrett, told me yesterday that he thinks he can persuade Starbucks to give the location a second chance.
All he needs, he said, is 10 months and an infusion of capital, which he hopes the city will provide by buying (not leasing) office space for a community services center.
Will that impress Starbucks?
“We'll have to sit down and have that discussion,” he said.

A little later I found Christina again. Christina was is from Denver and was in SD about a month ago. Christina told me that she does not work in Denver because she does not want to recognized there. Karli is from Phoenix and told me the same thing.

Driveing around 10pm on ECB, was not a good scene at all. Lots of LE patroling and driveing around. Saw one BBBW by herself. I did see a pair of blondes come from a side street onto ECB, as soon as they started walking on ECB LE stopped them to harass them. To me it seems that LE has increased the harrassment of SW or girls that seem like they could be SW. Its very sad.
Just remember that the cops tend to step up enforcement after 9:30pm when the second shift begins. I get the impression that the cops have been cracking down harder after 9:30 in recent years. This is one reason why I prefer cruising late afternoons and early evenings. There is much less cops and they don't crack down much then.
The action in SD is up on El Cajon blvd from Texas to 70th. But the majority of the action is from Texas to I-15. I suggest you cruise before 9:30 due to LE. Downtown is dead for SW's But there used to be a lot of SW's in the gaslamp years ago. I used to pickup SW's there in the early 80's.
