Possibly, but the thing to remember is that a lot of girls are from out of town in Socal. So my guess is that they would probably go work somewhere else. $20 is quite low for the west coast. Taking a girl a few blocks from where you pick her up is way to risky. It is to easy for a cop to spot you. The other problem there is good probability of other cops driving around as you have seen. These days I go a minimum of 10 blocks or more from where I pick a SW. LE has become much more aggressive in recent years and it is important to take precautions. It is also a mistake to respond to the term "date" unless you know her. The word date has been used as the basis for "intent to solicit prostitution" arrests in recent years. The best thing to do is tell them to get and do not respond until she gets in and you have done the check and driven away. $100 is way to much for a street date. I typically start of off low when negotiating. The good thing here is if she turns out to be scammer you have not lost to much money. In the end I would consider yourself luck. After that it's flooded with cops on those small as streets and they flash your car to see if any hookers are inside. If you get off on beach from the 91 and drive south You will find many more especially by knots. I pass on that rather hit Compton on LBB, or south LA on fig. You find SW all over in those areas. And no small streets. Best part of fig is that you can find many places to park next to the freeway.

Seems like Harbor has gone downhill like so many other area in Socal. It used to be that you could out on Harbor and Beach and find a good SW almost any times. These days the SW's don't come out until 11 pm. If I am in the LA / OC area I will make a pass on Harbor, but most of time I don't see any SW's since I am to early. Picking up SW's is fairly basic just follow the 22 rules and drive a good distance from where you pick the SW. When picking up SW's it is best to simply offer her a ride when stopping to picking her up. Do not use word "date" or any terms that co-notate sex in any way. If the girl is cop then there is they could use this the basis for a loitering charge. Also drive about the 2 blocks before doing the test. When doing the cop check say something neutral like can grab me. It is also important to recon the area before picking up a SW. This way you can tell if the cops are cracking down or not. Following the rules is especially important these days. It is all to easy to slip up and end up being pulled over and harassed by some cop. Just remember that LE has become more aggressive than ever and they are looking for a reason to harass or possibly arrest you on prostitution related charge.

And yeah, get phone numbers! If she doesn't have a room or won't give you her phone number, then she's a street rat, and yeah you'd be an idiot to overpay. In all my years of cruising I have only one instance where paying more made a difference.

There has been some recent reports that the action has been picking up in Long Beach. So I am wondering if the girls have shifted over there. Years ago some of the SW's would visit SD when LE would crack down. It's really a shame we don't see any OC girls these days.
