I think what's happening here is this is a national network and call center because the first question they asked was what city am I in and had to research the girls name. However, some of these groups sell whatever contact info they get immediately. So they have your number and know what interests you and what city you are in and the people who buy the numbers are scammers.This is common now days in call centers.
