In regards to pedestrian strolling, that's about all I do these days since I don't own a car. I also cruise on bicycle quite a bit. I feel much more secure on foot or bike, because LE seems much less likely to hassle you. Even if they know what you're up to, there's not much LE can do if you aren't breaking any laws (walking and biking isn't against the law). In contrast, if you're in a car, LE can pretty much pull you over whenever they want.

The disadvantage to being on foot or bike is that you're very limited in how far you can travel, and if you do pick someone up it's harder to find a place to go. That's one of the reasons I'd like to hook up with Goth Chick. I've read from postings that she has her own place, so being on foot really isn't a problem. Even if the cops see you walking together, they can't do anything unless money is exchanged. If you wait to get to her private residence before exchanging money and having sex, LE can't do anything because if you're inside they have know way of witnessing anything illegal. I seriously doubt they'd try to get into her place for a bust because it isn't worth the trouble (also, I don't think it's legal without just cause or a warrant).

Eastlake: How Seattle are you? -Cruising on a bicycle. Just playing around. But i do like the idea of walking for the exact reasons you mention- avoiding LE trouble. I'm also with you on the goth chik- a place nearby sounds perfect- plus i like the goth look (amongst many looks that i like). Though this board has me sketched out on all the talking that she does. But, I'm still looking for her.
Eastlake, could you let me/us in on ways you get around the problems with walking (mainly- how/where do you go? I dont necessarily mean specifics, but are you talking alley-ways? parks?) have you found any other sw's with places nearby?

Now that I am back in town, I'm looking forward to stuff.

Oh yeah, while I was out last nite (6-7, 8:30 - 10) I saw an older, mid 30s lady, name's Kelly. SHe doesn't have the street look, didn't look strung out or anything. Also saw this chick with dyed/bleeched blond hair in short skirt and white sweater. Didn't look like she's working at first but she's just standing around and wandering aimlessly around the stroll. I think she might be hispanic or light-skinned black, but didn't seem too friendly.

As far as pedestrian strolling, I generally stay in the general vicinity of the hurricane spanning about a 5-6 block radius from that location. I've seen SWs 2-3 blocks north of Denny Park and 4-5 blocks south of 'Cane, and everywhere in between depending on the night. There aren't too many specific tips I can give you except just use good common sense and don't sweat LE. As I mentioned in my last post, if you're just walking they can't do much. I've also noticed that activity around the 'Cane stroll seems to drop off with rainy weather (can you blame them?). Hope this helps. Good luck.

I think I came across the Goth chic on Wednesday night (does she have a deep/husky voice?). She was just sitting in the rain. I walked up to her, said hi, and she immediately accused me of being LE and said she'd had a hard life. So I walked away since at that moment it was more trouble than it was worth.

Otherwise, it was a quiet evening. The rain keeps 'em in...

Possible LE action

Last night at about 7PM on N Aurora at 140th-ish, near the kid valley, I saw a couple of ladies. at first I didn't think they were SWs but one gave me the look. So I made a loop back. Something about it seemed wrong so I moved on. On the second pass the one that gave me the look was talking to a guy in a car. not getting in or hustling, just talking. posture said she knew the guy. Her friend was sort of walking along, it just didn't feel right.

Carmen is Back!

I picked up Carmen last night near the Hurricane. When I noticed her, I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t seen her for so long that she was becoming more of an urban legend in my mind.

Anyhow... She looked great & had an awesome attitude. $40 for BBBJTC & then some. I would have loved to go FS, but I didn’t have the time. I hope to see her again real soon. She is simply one of the best off the street I've ever had.

Other than that, everything seems to be pretty dry & slim pickins’.

Carmen is in her mid 20s, 5ft 5 - 5ft 7ish. Long, dark, wavy hair about to mid back or so. She has a nice slender body & extremely pretty face. The first time I saw here, I thought she was a pedestrian & was super surprised that she was working. Carmen is a Spanish-Italian mix, so she looks very exotic. SW Activity on WESTLAKE:

On my way home last night I cruised the H'Cane stroll and didn't see much. Possibly one blond SW, but not sure. LOTS of LE activity.

Afterwards, I headed home on Westlake Ave. To my surprise I saw a SW standing outside Napa Auto Parts (I think the cross street is Harrison). For those who don't know, this is about 8 blocks north and 2-3 blocks east of H'Cane. She was blonde, mid-30s, low to mid track quality (I'd rate her a 5).

I've never seen any SWs that far north before, so this is a good sign that SW activity might be increasing, or at least spreading out. Looks like we can expand the web a little further north of H'Cane. The Westlake area has good potential b/c there is little LE presence this far north (for now), and there are also more places to park and hide.

As someone that lives in West Seattle. The best you are going to do, is the Roxbury/Downtown White Center area. They are all ugly (okay, there are 1 or 2 lookers) but they are pretty regular. Occasionally, (very occasionally) you will find some on 35th Ave SW near the 76 Station (or maybe Shell station) near the projects. Very occasionally, at 35th Ave SW and Roxbury. Even rarer, is at Fauntleroy and California around The Corner Inn (I got lucky at that intersection once, and once I came across a van parked on the street near there with a couple having sex inside).

Greetings - just found this board a few weeks ago and immediately took advantage of it! Have never went looking for a SW until a week ago. Have found three and thought I would share.
All of these were found near Denny park. The first was a week ago Sunday about 8:00. As this was my first I wasn't too picky - she was decent. Used a cane - probably middle thirties - cbj - $40 - rate of 4 or 5 for looks - 5 or 6 for service.
The second was a few days later, same place about 6 - white cowboy type hat - about 30 - bbbjto - $40 - looks 4 or 5 - 7 for the service.
Last night. Picked up a very nice young black lady. Looks 8 - service - well if she would only stop talking and keep about her business she would be out standing! On my way back from a recreational trip on Saturday, I decided to take an extended stroll. At about 930p from I-5 at about 185th, I headed to Aurora. From Aurora & 185 all the way downtown I saw nothing at all. I then did an extensive check of the Denny/'Cane stroll: Nothing at all, no SWs, no LE, complete inactivity. It might have been too early (or just bad luck), but I didn't see anything. I hadn't cruised on Saturday in awhile, but seem to remember Saturdays being pretty slow nights (maybe the SWs need a day off just like the rest of us).

Also, has anyone seen Goth Chick in the last several days? I've been checking pretty regularly on weeknights after work (typically between 6-8p) and haven't seen her in at least a week. I've checked her usual location (outside King Cat) and all around the area and haven't seen her. Maybe she's been keeping different hours than me.

Went to REI and did the Denny loop to see who might be out, pretty sparce saw Shannon, (earlier reported) other than her nada. Interestingly last night I was on 85th and 15th when a pretty attractive gal caught my attention, my antennae went up because she was walking slowly, barefoot carrying a plastic shopping bag, and scanning traffic, just too out of place. I caught her eye and pulled over, she walked to my window and asked for a lift home in Ballard. She introduced herself as Kristine in conversation she mentioned she had to get out of the house and take a break from her "bitchy " roomate and left without her shoes etc... I of course queried her on the basics which included what type of work she does which she replied: Well, I'm not really working full time right now which is part of roomate problem and I just started back in prostituion" Bingo off we go toward the Shilshoe Marina for a pretty decent non rushed bbbjtc. Had to put in some extra hours tonight so I took the long way home. I started my little joy ride on 145 and went south on 99. Must be the cold weather cause I didn't see a soul. Saw a pig with a guy in front of his cruiser at the Burger King by Bitter Lake, I think that's 130th. Kept going saw nothing except for a another pig headed north. I ended up on the Denny area and didn't no action there neither. I did a pass on 9th going south towards the Cane, but not a soul. I tried to go by that theater, but I was at a stop light and another pig pulled up in the lane next to me. Decided to call it a night. So I guess they're all hybernating at this time of night. Does anyone know if there is any action Renton anymore? Thanks.

Hello All - I'm back!

Sorry to all have been writing and no response
I had to go back to China the past couple of months to take care of a sick family member and was just out of commission in terms of email as the places I was at really had no technology anywhere!
I got back last week and been catching up on work and such and just did some strolls of my own.

I have read a bunch of postings and some responses…
The website that I created with the pics are all real :-)
They are either SWs I've picked up personally, seen them picked up, or was waved at in the usual manner of trying to get a driver's attention.
So…I'm 99.9999% sure that all those SWs photographed are all real SWs..including the one that someone said was was too "urban" to be a SW.

Anyway…here's some info on a few strolls I did this week - it's harder to get pics these days as the sun goes down a lot earlier than they used to and work has been too busy for me to get out of here in the afternoon like I used to.
But..I will continue trying getting some new pics up there in the near future.

PACIFIC AVE IN PARKLAND:
I saw the famed Marlo that everyone has been talking about.
For $40, I was able to do everything everyone said - she was about 5'5" or 5'6" or so…very thin with nice nipples. Probably a 34A and not much more beyond that.
DATY, DFK, BBBJTC, etc..etc…
I did that stroll from about 12:30pm - 2:00pm when I finally picked her up in front of the Walgreen (or whatever pharmacy is down there).
My question is…since I know where she is staying at, is it kosher to just go to her place now instead of driving around until I see her if I want a little somethin somethin?
For all those other folks, it's pretty accurate..not much on Pacific from 96th Avenue and further south.

TACOMA AVE:
There are always some SWs around there but…very hard for me to find anyone of quality that I would want to hook up with.
A lot of those on the streets look to be more on the worn or skanky side - they may be nice people (and probably are) but first impressions, I didn't want to stop and pick anyone up.
Cruised there in the evening last Tuesday and saw about 4 SWs or so from 27th to 9th.

PACIFIC HIGHWAY FROM 320TH TO 272ND:
I guess it might be the weather and have to agree with others.
No activity whatsoever from 272nd and south of there.
I don't even see Goldie or Michelle or those that used to hang out at the mini-mart on 272nd across from Safeway.

PACIFIC HIGHWAY FROM 272ND TO KENT/DESMOINES ROAD:
I check every morning between the times of 7:30am - 8:30am and seen one or 2 SWs but none that have interested me.
I'll try and get pics soon in order to add to the site.
I also check coming home around 6pm and seen one or two black chicks but nothing beyond that.

SEATTLE BY THE HURRICANE AND DV8
I check there around 8:00am - 9:00am and no activity pretty much every day in the morning.
I have seen SWs walk with pimps but due to safety issues, I don't pick up any SWs if they have a pimp with them.

I'm going to go strolling tonight and see if there is any action to report.

So..I'm glad to say that I'm back and as soon as I have more pics, I'll post and also share some contact info when I get them with the veteran john's out there.

Last night after work I checked out the 'Cane/Denny/Westlake stroll. No SWs and at least 2 LE cars; one was parked in a lot about a block NW of Hurricane, the other was parked in lot at the NE corner of Denny & Westlake. Between cold weather & LE, no wonder they aren't around. I've said it before, but it bares repeating: With the city budget crisis, shouldn't LE be concentrating on stopping REAL criminals?

Sorry for the consecutive post, but I just cruised the 'Cane/Denny stroll and wanted to report my findings:

I saw 4 SWs within two blocks of 'Cane. One was picked up, but I talked with the other three. Two were right outside the 'Cane. One had bleached-blond hair, mid-20s, mid-track quality (about a 6). The other was brunette, mid-20s, low/mid quality (about a 4). The brunette was probably an addict, she had that glazed-over look. I talked to both, but neither had a place near by, and I didn't really want a quick BJ in an alley or park, so I passed.

The third SW was the famous GOTH CHICK! She was at her usual spot, outside King Cat. I approached her twice, and she blow me off both times. Not sure what the deal was, but she was pretty hostile! She said, "I don't know you!, I'm waiting for a friend, you pervert!". Maybe it's because I was on bike and she thought I was LE. Whatever the reason, she ain't right in the head! I don't know if she was on something, but in my brief encounter I could tell she's pretty messed up.

This girl was about 5'7"'ish...and probably about 130lbs or so.

Wearing all black.
Kinda a whitish complexion.

So...I picked her up and introduced myself - she said her name was Marty.

Welcome home, David. You may have noticed that I demoted your site to my "Books & Tips" page because it looked like you'd lost interest in it and were no longer adding to it. I just put it back at the top of my home page ("Hooker Photos"), and am encouraging other johns to contribute. I still don't have a camera, and since I mainly cruise at night, am wondering whether I could get enough good quality photos to make it worthwhile. I saw what you said about those Pac Hwy "Book World girls" we were speculating about, and am surprised you were convinced one or all of them were hooking--but I believe you. Man, one of them looked about 12--talk about jail bait!

Horndog, according to the twisted logic of Seattle LE, we ARE real criminals. Remember, I listened to this absurd reasoning in person at the city council meeting in August when they lobbied for the new $500 john fine. One Seattle goon who stopped and yelled at me a few years ago gave me the standard BS that cracking down on prostitution stops more serious crimes. I wanted to tell him: "Look, idiot, I've been to the Netherlands (where prostitution is legal), and they have fewer shootings than the city of Seattle" -- but I wisely kept my mouth shut. I think most cops would prefer to pursue hookers and johns because they know that most of us aren't hard-core felons, nor packing pistols.

Although the situation in the U.S. seems pretty bleak (I even read this week that the Supreme Court is probably going to severely weaken the Miranda Rule next year), the tide in Canada (especially Vancouver) seems to be turning in a more tolerant direction on drugs and prostitution. I know this is the Seattle thread, but I am answering a question posted by david_lee_chung that is about Parkland's (south of Tacoma) best SW, Marlo. He asked if it is kosher to go to her location or does he need to play hit or miss on the stroll. My experience with her is that you can go straight to the door and knock or, better, just call ahead (you can figure out the number yourself). I have done it at least 10 times (yeah, she's that great of a fuck!) She prefers not having to walk so its better for her and you. One word of warning, though, if there is a Pierce Country Sheriff car parked on the lot, walk on by. They will watch you enter and come knocking. She has told me that this happens from time to time.

Nice to see you have enjoyed Parkland's finest. In fact, reminds me I haven't seen her for a week or so and I better check in with her in the morning.

Had to drop off someone downtown early Friday morning and then had a couple of hours to kill. I have have never cruised the Hurricane area before, so I wanted to check things out. It was really foggy, so hard to see much more than a block. Headed up Aurora and the fog was really thick untill around 100th, where the sun was out, until about 175th, where the fog started again. There were three white ladies working the Home Depot/cemetary area. They ranged from about a 4 to a 6. On one pass thru a chubby cute one was hitchhiking, so I pulled over, but she wanted to talk while standing on the street with my door open, asking what I was looking for. I just said do you want a ride or not and took off when she was trying to get me to say if I wanted anything. I've been hanging round for the better part of the last 6 mos and doing some scouting, based on what you guys have had to say. My runs are limited to day time, generally. Also, they are generally in the early part of the week. I come from the east coast where there is a more agressive/open sw environment.

Am I wrong, or is the pickings rather slim in the Seattle area? I've done the Pac Highway, Denny, and Aurora strolls, all to no real avail.

Tacoma ain't no great shakes either, though I am eager to test drive Marlo. That AM/PM is just about junkie row. Sometimes I feel like I have to disinfect my car after cruising.

I'd appreciate your toughts and any recs you might have.

Jake, unfortunately the Tacoma AM/PM and Tacoma Ave strolls are about as good as it gets in this state--at least in terms of being consistently active. You've probably heard me say this before, but it's a different world in BC--especially Vancouver. There seems to be more of a tolerance of street prostitution (even from LE), and there is lots of high-quality action along Kingsway (if you can afford it), and some occasional good bargains on the low and mid-tracks. It's about a 3 hour drive from Seattle to Vancouver, assuming you drive the speed limit and cross the border when the waits are minimal (Mondays to Thursdays are best).

Cruised Aurora around 9:30pm tonight. Went all the way up to Casino Rd. and then back to Ricks. Last night I started down Rucker at around 10PM in downtown Everett and followed it to 99 down to downtown Seattle. Nothing on Broadway to Casino Rd. One working and one possiible on Casino Road. The working one on Casino Road was tall and blond. I couldn't see much of her because she would stand on the street make eye contact and then hide in some bushes. I believe she was looking out for LE (none out last night) and when she determined that there were no LE in sight she would make the eye contact. Weird. The possible was at the gas station at the corner of Casino and 99. She was very cute (by my standards) about 5'4",blond hair, 120-125, she had an incredible butt. She was pacing back and forth in the lot, yelling into her cell phone at someone. I figured she was working from her outfit and the fact that she was pacing in the back, where it was dark and there were no cars around that could be hers. Continued down 99, came across one in Lynnwood. Got ready to circle around to get her and saw a cop across the street with his lights off. Saw one about 130th, but she was too fat. She said that Maureen usually hangs out on the rail, but when Maureen is not there she hangs out on the rail also. She said it has been the best spot for her to get picked up. So awhile ago, I said I saw goth chick and I didn't think much of her, I believe that I actually saw this person (who isn't much to look at, but she's nice) and not goth chick. So I will now continue to look for her to see what she looks like.

Heading south around 9:30 PM last night, I saw one definite in Shoreline on Aurora around 192nd. I circled back for a closer look, but didn't get it because she kept moving from one side of the highway to another. My best estimate is that she was a 4 on the 1-10 scale, and Caucasian. Continuing south, I saw nothing convincing to downtown Seattle. Around 10 PM I saw one definite on 6th near John, and another somewhere in that 6th Ave N-Hurricane Cafe area, but the Denny Park blocks were empty. Went to Tower Records until they closed, and the whole area was basically dead after midnight. Went to a porno arcade for awhile, and resumed cruising after 1 AM: Again, little or nothing. Back up Aurora around 1:45 AM, saw a white hag on the northbound side north of the bridge, and a black between Winona and 145th. I find many black SWs appealing, but this one didn't turn me on, so I didn't circle back for another look. There is a possibility it might have been a transvestite, but given the previous reports of SWs from CA working that area, I'm assuming it was a female. The final sighting should techincally go on the Everett board: I saw one possible (black) while zipping through 99 in Lynnwood at 45 MPH after 2 AM. I circled back, but she was gone. I want to emphasize that this was within Lynnwood, between 208th and 200th. Michael, was that Lynnwood one you saw in this same area, or north of the city limits beyond 168th?

The night actually turned out mostly dry, but there was a windchill factor. I'm surprised that the best SW I saw was in Everett and not Seattle. I did notice the heavy LE presence in the blocks around the Hurricane after midnight--something that other johns have been complaining about recently. It got worse after 1 AM, and made me so paranoid that I didn't linger in the area as long as I might have. I didn't even go into the Denny Park blocks then, fearing I would be an obvious target for LE harassment. Another warning: There's at least one marked unit in the downtown area that does nothing but hunt drunk drivers, and the car says "DUI Patrol" on the side. I was over near 1st warming up my car, and the cop stopped a car and questioned the driver. Then he walked over, shined his flashlight on me, and asked if I'd been drinking. I said no (true), and that I was just warming my engine. He said OK and walked away without ID-ing me. I've been hassled by cops several times over the years because I was sitting in my car at night and not moving, and it reminds me of a tip I want to pass along: If you're out cruising after dark and need to take a rest, try to find the most inconspicuous place to park you can. I have a rather small car, and my preference is to park between two larger vehicles, or directly in back or front of one (depending if the street is one or two-way). Another thing that seems to work is parking in the lot of a 24-hour supermarket. In both instances, I usually have my seat reclined to the max, so I'm even less noticeable.

Another pass by the 'Cane ... and .... found the before mentioned Zora. IslandJake's description is accurate ... about a 7 in looks. for whatever reason there seems to be a concentration, together with very unusual turnover in the area around 135th @ aurora during the last week or two. as i often drive past this area several times daily between late afternoon till evening always looking at the activity but only participating recently ii've become familiar with mpst of the regulars including those that only show up during weekends. in the warmer months there seems to be lots more activity however it's generally spread over a larger area of aurora and i drive from winoa up through shorline to the fred meyers so it something i'm aware about. tonight didn't see any of the regulars but was surprised to see a young slim very attractive black woman together with a petit also attractive white girl about twenty both at least a 7 who met up with another pair just a little older but also attractive they split up several times and were working the same area checking things out carefully then getting in car's and returning after 20 to 30 minutes. they seemed organized and even took coffee breaks. i was able to watch easily without being observed, but i don't thing they'd care as they paid no attention to the several le cars that passed through. i'm not the voyouger type but was checking to see if there was a sting being set up to advise the board but this did not seem to be happening. i'm wondering if anyone else has any input as i'm going to try out these new interesting opportunities but not before i hear opinions from more experienced hobbiest. northseattle

I do see myself as a kind of missionary for the hobby, and certainly don't shy away from attacking the stupid laws and those who support and enforce them. The marijuana laws are absurd, but the prostitution laws are even more so. This car "forfeiture" idiocy has been steadily marching across North America for several years, and despite some setbacks (Portland), it seems to be the wave of the future. Various politicos in BC have been calling for it for over a year, and I suspect the province will get it before we do here. Then again, who knows? The new Seattle $500 john fine was proposed in August, passed in September, and became law in October--all with not even a letter of objection in the mainstream or even alternative papers. And the idiot WA legislature voted nearly unanimously in '99 for a john vehicle impound law.

Well, I'm making progress on reinstating WSG stroll report dates from earlier this year to my guide, but it might take a few more days to complete the process. When finished, you'll be able to look up the latest WSG stroll report back to April. I'd go back a full year, but April is when the WSG switched to this current board version, so that seems to be a good place to stop.

Monday night. Got off work around 7:30 - did my usual loop around Denny park - nothing - around the hurricane -nothing, back to Denny park and was about to go home when I saw this interesting woman walking down the street. I circled back and she had moved over to Westlake. Made another turn to get going the right direction and pulled over. Nicole got into my car and off we went. NorthSeattle, I'm very familiar with Dave in Phoenix and his site, but he and I are kind of opposites with regard to the hobby: He's quite anti-street, and seems to think that every john (no matter how poor) should be using call girls and their ilk instead of patronizing streetwalkers. I would hazard a guess that 75% or more of the SW we pick up have on their person at least drug parapenalia (needles, cotton, crack pipes, etc). I would bet nearly all of them don't have drugs on them because they are out looking for business to get the money to buy the dope to disappear for awhile. I would bet the same 75% (or higher) have illegal drugs IN them too. One SW pulled a crack rock out of her naval once (in the hotel room). 11:30 PM: One pass down Aurora (including Shoreline)--nothing.

11:45 PM: Nothing on or around 6th Ave N. I also noticed that the weekend DV8 crowd has diminished. Where's the hot club that the under-21s hang out these days? Maybe they've dispersed to various clubs now that the teen dance ordinance is history. Nothing around the Hurricane at the same time, and Goth wasn't at the King Cat. Saw one (Caucasian, slim, fair quality) at 9th & Thomas.

3 AM: One on Rainier who walked from Jackson to under the I-90 bridge. White, rather old, overweight, and a 1 on the 1-10. Saw a possible on Rainier south of Columbia City: Black, lower fair quality, but she wasn't there on my northbound pass, so I wasn't convinced.

3:35 AM: Saw one or two possibles (black) on 23rd Ave between Yesler and Madison, but they didn't look too convincing or eager.

4 AM: Possible (black) on 3rd between Stewart and Virginia. Nothing around the Hurricane or Denny Park. As I was heading over to check 6th Ave N, a SUV that was waiting to pull out of the Shell honked at me. Since I had the right of way, I figured it was just another road-raging idiot looking for a fight, but then the SUV followed me on to 6th and was clearly tailing me. I slowed down, trying to force him to go around. To my surprise, it was a lone prostitute looking for a john! I'd heard of hookers cruising in cars for johns before, but the only place where it's common to my knowledge is (or was) Dallas. She was dark-skinned (maybe black), and slightly above average in looks--maybe a 6 or 7. Obviously I couldn't see her whole body, which was a drawback. She did look a bit classier than what I usually see on the street, so I kind of figured she was beyond my budget (plus I had already spent too much money earlier at the Lusty Lady's private booth--where there was a hot chick with a stretched anus, a big turn-on of mine). The biggest problem I have with this method of hookers cruising in vehicles is that it would be a great way for LE to sting johns--especially now that thanks to the Internet, it's becoming more widely known that decoys standing on the street don't get in johns' cars.

4:20 AM: Saw one possible on Aurora bewteen 85th & 105th. Went by her a second time, but still wasn't convinced. There was a possible prostitution-related stop around 137th: 3 cop cars (2
blue Seattles, and one white that I couldn't figure out) had a car
pulled over with what looked like two occupants. I went by the scene slowly, then again, but couldn't make out the sexes. On my second pass, one of the LEs whipped out and started following me and a taxi down Aurora. Finally it pulled off, so I turned around and headed north again. I then saw it sitting in a discreet location off the street with its lights off.

it seems that our hobby is visited by the GRINCH. continuing uncircumsised strool into saturday i've just completed my second unsucessesful trip's from winoa and aurora upto aurora and 160th st with time taken to throughly check out the more popular areas of activity. first trip occured from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM the second was from 8:30 until 10:10 PM with stops for fast food and doughnuts and coffee. saw absolutely no possabilities or even weekend regulars anywhere. this is a first for this month with nada. didn't bother with the denny stroll. hope others were more successfull then me.

9:45 PM: Nothing on Aurora from the county line to downtown--but lots of holiday traffic, so it's possible one or two may have slipped my notice.

10 PM: I think I finally saw Goth Chick! She was kind of half sitting on a bike rack or something on Blanchard St near 6th Ave--the King Cat Theatre spot she's always reported at. I drove by her nice and slow several times, and she gave me the evil eye--but clearly wanted me to stop. My assessment of her is that she's about a 5 as far as SWs go. I wouldn't really call her look "Goth"--but then maybe she's dressing and grooming more casually these days. She does have fair skin, dark hair, and light eyes. It appeared that someone picked her up shortly after I arrived in the area. There was another dark-haired Caucasian (maybe a bit older, fair quality) on Blanchard walking between 7th and 8th.

11 PM: U-District (University Way NE, 45th St NE). Nothing but a number of male street people types loitering around, and a couple of cock-teasing princesses with their boyfriends.

11:45 PM: Aurora around 87th: One that was most probably working. She disappeared before I could get a second look, but my first impression is that she was about a "3" tops, and Caucasian.

12 AM: Southbound Aurora at Harrison: Possible john being questioned by LE. There were two fair-quality dark-skinned SWs with umbrellas at the location on my first pass, but then they walked south on Aurora toward Denny while the pigs continued to interrogate the male motorist. I don't think it was a sting, but I can't say with 100% certainty. A short time later I saw another SW (white, about a 3) on Blanchard near 7th.

By 12:45 it started raining hard, so I figured I'd seen the best specimens of the night, and I was right: Saw virtually nothing else in the downtown area and Aurora, or 99 / Evergreen Way /
Rucker Ave / Broadway through Everett.

The sum of this message is "nothing". I went down to Denny Park around 9:30 - around by the hurricane and then up Aurora to north Lynwood/south everett. Saw only one possible - white gal with a black guy walking over to Denny park area. Went back a little later and didn't seem them - but she certainly was looking at the car I was driving. Hopefully the inventory will start to improve.

Alex, my impression of the U-District over the years is that it's generally a waste of time. The only reason I was there last night is because I wanted to pick up a map at Barnes & Noble. The last WSG report indicating activity there was on 7-25 by Michael 1967 (it took me less than a minute to find that post now that my guide references WSG dates!). He's scored there but says it's a stroll where you make the pick-up on foot, and I agree. I lived there briefly in the '80s, and recall being propositioned a couple of times while walking around. However, I've never seen convincing SWs flagging down cars like you see on more traditional strolls like Aurora.

A John Report: Tried the daytime cruise this time. I'm usually a midnight cruiser ... but the WSGFORUM (thank God for y'all) reported much success in the daytime ... so I decided to give it a try. 2:30pm ... cruised 99 going north. One definite SW at 125th, a 4?, around early 30s? ... I passed. On the way back going south I saw 2 probable black SWs at 115th? by the cemetary. Cruised around Denny ... nuthin. Ended up picking up a SW appropriately named BJ ... on 99 just north of Mercer (after the bus stop). She was a late 30's, 'bout a 4/5 on looks. We agreed upon 20 for CBJ. Parked ... was interrupted once ... parked again and finished. Rating? 5/10/9. Almost too friendly .... caressing, stroking, touching, talking ... but she was good at her job. I am a recent graduate of UW. I have lived a couple minutes away from University Way NE and 45th St NE for over 5 years. I can say with complete certainty that there are no SW in the immediate area.

Every night, there are "Ave Rats" loitering around that intersection, and there usually are a few females in their group. I think most of these kids are homeless and stand around, talking with their friends. These females may look like SW, but are not.

When in need, I would head over to Aurora and 43rd, and start heading north.

Now I live in the Southend, the best stroll I have seen anywhere in the Puget Sound is around Tacoma Ave and 19th ST (downtown Tacoma). There were literally 10 SW in the area, last time I was there.

Frid. Night I drove around the denny stroll area. I saw one black SW on Dexter, and saw a truck turn to scoop (assumedly). I was able to look down dexter about 30 secs later and I saw LE lights in the same viscinity of the SW and the truck.

I also saw (what I am pretty sure is) an undercover LE parked near the dv8. I think they followed a possible cruiser.

Cruised the Denny area last night about 10 PM saw a couple of black SW on the corner of Harrison and Aurora, went through the same area about 20 minutes later and spotted 2 white SW one was dressed in total hooker gear, short dress, white boots and talking on a cell phone, would rate her a 7 the other looked like a layed off Boeing worker about 40, 5'1" and around 175lbs about a 3. Strange combination to see these two at the same spot. Cruised down by 1st and Pine and made eye contact with a gal, pulled over, she immediately opened the door and hopped in. Introduced herself as Shawn, never had seen her before looked about 25, very cute in a punk sort of way, very clean in appearance and smell. After performing the perfunctionary checks we headed over to Eastlake, found a quiet secluded spot and proceeded to receive a nice unrushed BBBJ with eye contact as in the porn movies. I pulled out and gave her a great open mouth shot and facial. No contact information but said she hangs in the area I picked her up in as she has a room in a nearby hotel. Sunday - drove down 99 from 100 S to Seattle around 4:30 - thought I would see what was happening around dusk. Saw one possible black lady where 525 crosses 99 - a little over weight - got a quick look from her - but I didn't see her in time to stop.
Nothing else down 99 - drove through denny area twice - once up around the hurrican. First time through nothing. On the second pass through the park area saw "someone" standing by a builing. At first I thought it was a guy - hair was under a cap - but as I drove by the person gave me a little wave.
I debate going back for a couple of minutes as I wasn't sure if it was male or female - decided to go back but they were gone. I didn't see anyone else in the area - decided it was time to go home.

Based on recent observations (including my own), I'm wondering if there has been some conscious decision by LE to crack down on the 6th Ave N-Denny Park-Hurricane Cafe area--including using unmarked units and possibly decoys. Therefore, I'm issuing a heightened state of alert in these areas, and urging johns to check the surrounding blocks, alleys, and parking lots for LE (marked and unmarked) before approaching a suspected SW. It's a shame we have to resort to this level of paranoia, but apparently Seattle is too goody-two-shoes to have unofficially tolerated strolls like Vancouver, Victoria, and even Tacoma to some extent does. Another thing that might be driving this crackdown is the new $500 bounty (some of which goes back into the vice squad) on every john they nail. Of course LE will never elmininate prostitution from the downtown area--all they can do is move it around and scatter it. Actually I've never felt that the aforementioned spots were the best areas for the trade late at night because there is usually little (if any) legitimate pedestrian activity--so the SWs stand out pretty easily. I doubt many SWs are reading this, but a better strategy might be to move further west and south (3rd & Lenora, and beyond), where they (and us) would blend in better with the greater number of pedestrians and vehicles closer to the downtown core. I have the 6th-Denny-Hurricane stroll and the area further west and south divided into two strolls in my guide, but maybe it's time to combine the two, given the apparent increase of LE harassment in the former and Spootman's recent score in the latter.

LE activity downtown & U-dist,

This is a belated post, but I've been pretty busy with the holidays lately. Anyway... Last Tuesday I decided to cruise the 'Cane/Denny stroll on my way home (about 6:30p). Saw Goth Chick (Marina) at her usual spot, but nothing else near the H'Cane. Started home on Westlake and saw an LE car parked near Outdoor & More, lights flashing. As I rode by I noticed the cop was talking with 3-4 people: 2-3 males, late teens and 1 female who appeared to be about 15. It's possible this was related to SW activity, but I'm not sure. I didn't get a great look, but the girl had dark blond hair and was pretty hot (I'd rate her an 8-9 by SW standards). She could be the possible Lolita mentioned a week or two ago.

RE the U-district... When I was a student I lived there for about a year and a half and never saw any real SW activity. Once, one of my roommates brought home a female Ave-Rat, but my impression was that nothing sexual happened. I suspect that if you were in the right situation you could probably get an Ave-rat to come home with you and maybe have sex, but you're taking a big chance (I wouldn't do it). If you do try this, I strongly suggest you only bring home one person because most of these kids are mentally disturbed and shady and will rob you without a second thought. Also, most look pretty scuzzy, so I'd be really worried about communicable diseases (even with a condom).

SEATTLE AROUND THE HURRICANE - NEW SECURITY PRESENCE!

Hello All! I have been cruising around quite a bit the past couple of weeks but nothing really good to report as I've been on a drought lately.
Anyhow, what I did want to report is the same as what everyone has been saying - there are more LE around the Hurricane area than before.

But..what I have also noticed is an additional security presence that may be driving SWs away from the area.

There have been a group of people dressed in Yellow Windbreakers that is a local neighborhood / city security taskforce that walks around that neighborhood. I have seen them as far west as 4th avenue and 2-3 blocks radius of the Hurricane. I noticed that they have radios and they might be tipping off local LE for people picking up SWs and other suspicious activity. I noticed this as I parked my car and decided to walk around. I even talked to one of them pretty briefly and she (there are males and females doing this) said that the city has contracted them to do this "neighborhood watch" type of program.

So... watch out everyone! It's not just LE and unmarked cars but there seems to be a foot patrol of sorts in the area.

Picked up Julie in the Denny area, she has been reviewed in ealier postings, received a BBBJ with swallow for .25 I would rate technique a 6 and Julie a 6 as well she has long brown hair, seemed a bit high strung and in a hurry. Spoot we must have crossed paths that evening. I saw those two as well. I was contemplating the blonde in the short skirt, but paused too long.

Did you see the guys in the Red Mustang? They must have been about 18-19 YO, cruising for fun. I think that they picked up one of the two.

Regarding increased LE in the Denny - Hurricane area. I have seen several marked cruisers parked with their lights out in the parking lots in and aound 8th North and Harrison. If you drive by that area it might be wise to keep an eye out, you'll only see them if you're looking for them.

i've been somehow missing connections. in my main cruise from 85th and aurora up thru 160th and aurora on dec 27th, 28th.29th and 30th several times daily between 4:45 PM until 7:00 PM was almost a complete washout with what appears to be a new possablity that i've been cautious about. each day at my first trip north handing out near the bus stop on 135th and aurora on the east side going north was a threesome, one a burly guy with baseball cap and beard with two ladies a short chubby woman with long stright blonde hair the other a about 40 year old with long stright bleached blonde hair shapely. they were only sort of catching your eye but hanging around even though several buses stopped to pick up passengers. on the 29th at 6:30PM they crossed the street and walked down to the doughnut shop used the pay phone then split up with the better looking woman seperating and walked off along aurora until 130th street where it appeared she scored with a car that made a right turn and picked her up. her other 2 buddies were following her about 200 feet behind and continued walking down 130th street. i'm wondering if anyone else has made contact or noticed this group? as i'll reinterate this was the only activity i observed in the area. haven't seen any regulars but saw plenty lookers but only the one catcher. no sign of le who up till now were actvive. northseattle

No Shawn found ... but I did spot a Hispanic SW on 1st and Virginia, she looked like a 5 ... but on the second pass she became a SW/3. In front of the H'Cane, there was a possible (further investigation may be necessary). Looped around the park area and spotted 2 BSW/4 at 99 and Harrison. A second pass made ... and then North on 99.

Across 99 there was a stalky blond giving me the stare. But, I was stuck going north ... until the turnaround at the bridge. On closer inspection ... she was a bit older than expected, but appeared friendly enough. A quick right turn, right turn, right turn around the block put me on the west side of 99 and Harrison, and in perfect position for a long blond hair intercept. A moment later she appeared around the corner as anticipated, then she walked to the car and got in.

I was playing it by ear. Tina seemed OK. White, quiet, looked 45-ish, and was wearing a puffy down coat so I couldn't determine her measurements. I asked if she had a spot, she said no ... not at this time, cuz she had guests at her place. On the way, I asked if she needed to check me ... she said she trusted me. I asked if I could/should check her ... but she assured me she wasn't a cop. I found a location and parked. She asked me what I wanted, I said BJ ... and she got right to work. Friday Night Report

Hey just got back from a early evening Denny expedition and am pleased to report I was able to hook up with the legendary Carmen. Picked her up at Dexter and Thomas around 7, went to a nice hidey hole underneath I-5 and received .5/.5 .

Carmen is a total Latin spitfire! Great looking, nice trim bod, incredibley tight pussy, and the best attitude I've seen in a SW. She doesn't rush at all, and really delivers service with a smile. Spootman might of seen her but he hasn't commented on my question.

I cruised around most of the Snohomish County spots in the early evening while running errands, saw nothing convincing, and ended up crossing into Seattle on Aurora around 11 PM. I made three passes of the whole northern stretch (145th to Winona), saw one or two possibles, but nothing convincing. I hit the northern downtown strolls about a half hour later, starting with the 6th Ave N area. Nothing there, but I noticed DV8 is now called "AMP" (I wonder where they got the inspiration for that name?). There were some seriously hot teen babes heading in, and I was tempted to check if they're allowing under-18s in now that the teen dance ordinance age restrictions are history. Anyway, I next did the Hurricane Cafe and Denny Park strolls. Saw a few possibles in the blocks around the 'Cane, but Denny Park was deserted. The best were lower fair quality (about a 4) on my meter, and included two blacks walking together and a white. I wasn't completely convinced the blacks were working, but after I took a nap in my car I saw them again near the 'Cane
around 2:15 AM, and this time was definitely getting the eye contact. When I woke up from my nap around 1:45 (parked on 6th near Blanchard), I saw what might have been Goth Chick (dressed in full black garb) walking north right past my car, but couldn't see her face. A short time later (still parked at the same spot), I saw a SW blatantly working Bell between 6th and 5th. It took about 2 minutes before someone picked her up. During my post-nap cruise, I also saw a white "3" at John & 9th, but 6th Ave N was again empty. The best sighting of the night came around 3 AM: There was a fairly hot (about a 6 or 7) young (20 or less) white with a pimp around 4th & Battery. If that pimp hadn't been right next to her, I might have stopped. She wasn't quite in the DV8-AMP league, but at least I know I could have scored with her: Definite eye contact, and no doubt that she was hooking. Finally, I did Aurora again (about 3:30 AM) and saw nothing. LE didn't seem to be targeting the trade tonight, and the weather wasn't as wet or nasty as had been predicted--though it did start raining steadily again after midnight.

A John Report (Friday night, 12:45am): Did the Tacoma route in the early afternoon ... oh my :) . That night, after some pool with pals, I took the opportunity to explore Seattle's strolls.

Working my way north, a few BSW around (1st and Blanchard, 3rd and Lenora). The one with glasses was kinda cute ... from afar. The Shell station had a few hanging around at all times. There was nothing on Aurora from Harrison to 145th that I saw.

BTW there's a new restaurant on Queen Anne Ave call ... get this ... Phuket !! Ha!

I think that with the current economy we are seeing more and more novices out there. . Over the last few months I have encountered many ex sales clerks, customer service reps and receptionists. Treat them nice; get their numbers if you like their service.

A couple of tips:

1) Look for the smile. If the girl smiles you're likely to have a good time. For me if they don't smile I don't stop.

2) Start with $20. Keep it in your pants pocket. Keep another $10 or $15 in your shirt pocket. Lock your wallet in the trunk along with other valuables. Most will suck D for less than $35 if you start low. You can say something like "I don't want to offend you but I only have $20 that I can spend." Say the other cash is for gas for the week.

3) Bring a cheap digital camera if you can! There's a few of us that swap pics from time to time.

I was in the White Center area about 1:30 Was cruisin down Roxbury when I saw a BSW with her thumb out. To i2500 - thanks for the tips. I like the one about the smile - this one didn't - but she was very cute and I doubt that I would have drive on even it I was practicing the "smile" test.

But based on your experience and that of others I will try not to get too excited about the first one I see - perhaps I just need a few more "lessons" from the SWs.

The advice on here has been great. It has probably saved my from several expensive and frustrating lessons.

A John Report ~ 1/8/2003 1:30pm ... You guys DO rock! From Pariah's notes of the other day, I decided to see for myself ... this bounty of booty in White Center. He shoots, He scores! Yee haw!

I spotted a SW/7 blond in tight jeans on my first pass down 15th. The sun was in my eyes, but I caught enough of a glance to see she was definitely adequately equipped. On one side street, I spotted the black/indian SW/6 ... chatting with some guys (pimps?) working on a car, conveniently located on the stroll. Another short skirted hottie (SW/6+) of mixed hispanic and black descent strolled casually past the LE in the Bartell's parking lot ... and into the store (or to the phone booth). After several more passes through the area ... the blond finally surfaced again, but this time near the doughnut shop. I conveniently parked my ass in the parking lot ... and observed the activities in my mirrors. When she was done talking with the before mentioned SW/6 ... I called her to the car.

Her name was "Diamond". She looked 19/20 ... and part Hispanic. She looked damn good. She wanted to know what was up? I told her ... "I was looking for a little of everything ... depending". I wanted to spend 20, she said "sorry honey, it's 40 for a BJ". I countered with 30 ... and as I stared at her bountiful cleavage ... I found myself saying "uh huh" to 35.

We found a long driveway ... and stopped halfway down it ... and got down to business. She provided a nice CBJ. I also saw ... oh what was her name ... Tina? hanging around the H'Cane. There was even some activity on 99. Near Thomas, a BSW/4 was watching cars as they past. They all kept on disappearing .... so apparently, business was good. Some LE presence, but none more than normal ... I think.

Before I headed home for good, I decided to check out White Center in the evening ... to see what there was to see at that time. However, several passes through the once generous streets ... now proved to be vacant of any SW activity. Bummer. I was kind of looking forward to trying another appetizer from the White Center menu. Yum.

i'm surprised at the lack of any activity on my regular stroll during the last week or so. i've cruised almost every day from aurora avenue and winona upthru aurora and 160th street between 4:45 PM thru 6:45 PM stopping to look over all the regular locations that normally have some activity and haven't seen anything except two possabilities who were very vague. wonder if there's some special variation on seasonal hours. there aren't even the weekend regulars who've been coming thru the area for months during this time frame. wish there were some so called part time freelancers available to fill the gap. i'll just keep on trying and let you all know if there's any changes. northseattle

Sat. night report. Was in the downtown Seattle area last night about 10:30 - so naturally I wandered around the Denny park area to see what was up. Two girls by the park. One black one white. The black looked ok - the white one could score no more than a 2 the SW scale. Went over on 6th to see what might be there - one walking towards the motel. Nice legs, high heels but had a parka on but as I drove by could see blond hair. Because of the legs and heels I drove down a block and made a u-turn to get another look and perhaps stop - althougth that wasn't in my plans originally. But by the time I got back - there was car pulled into a parking lot and the girl was standing at the door talking to the person in the car.

hey! as far as the strip scene-haven't been in Seattle in a few but-it never changes-if you want good stuff go to Sugar's or Players club-this is my personal experience-2nd hand-Honey's in the North. early wed morning report

went on my regular route tonight starting north at 6:00 PM and was surprised to spot a attractive lady wearing a mini skirt and black leather jacket strooling down aurora at 95th street on the west side was able to make left turn and around via driveway on 97th street but she hopped into a car before i was able catch up with her so turned around went up to 160th aurora and started back down stopping to look over all regular spots but zeroed out, went out later at 8:00 PM and comng back at 9:00 PM as i was making a left turn on 97th street spotted the polynesian girl " Leilani" i met last week at the "aaa" downdown at 6th avenue but as i was low on funds and not agile enough for a all action car date i had to pass as she said she likes to do it all as it's more fun. i agreed but economically and physically reluctently passed it would have been $50.00 well spent. these are the first two that i've noticed in the area since early december.

seems that the aurora ave from winona upto northgate way has suddenly become more active. don't understand why as it's almost impossable to slow down stop or make eye contact with the volume of traffic during the week between 4:30 until 7:00 PM on both sides of aurora. was one lady in faux fur coat activley waving and giving thumb signals at 77th aurora at 4:30 but by the time i turned around she was picked up. tall slender blonde with long streaked hair was on east side of street walking south at 5:00 and another was on 95th aurora. headed north as i was in middle lane checked out all the spots upto 160th aurora wasn't anything when i was returning at 7:00 the tall slim streaked blonde was walking north on the west side of the street but was two much traffic to check closer. has anyone wondered if there are any computer savy female lurkers checking this board who are interested but either to shy or cautious to make direct contact with any of us gentlemen posters. ladies if you've been lurking check the posters and let us know you're around. i'm intersted if you're interested. probono86@hotmail.com northseattle.

Went back downtown after work yesterday. Did the Hurricaine/Denny Park circle. Saw several girls out. So I'm not seeing things.

I saw the Bellevue SW near Northup yesterday out of the corner of my eye as I got onto 520 ramp Southbound. She was hitchhiking and I was already committed to the entrance ramp. No idea what she looked like but it's nice to know my SW radar is working well. Thought I was hallucinating till I saw the recent post. Weren't there a few posts about the area almost a year or so ago?

This may be a long post - but the question for you long time hobbyists - "if it its too good to be true -- is it too good to be true?" Situation - Wednesday night about 7:00 - drove by Denny park - nothing. Drove over by 6th and spotted what looked like a good looking SW standing by Aurora - just a block of Denny. Made it over - drove by and she waved. What a great looking woman! Probably about 25 - blond hair - nice body and what looked like a nice face - wear black leather - wow - better by a factor of four from anything I have seen in my brier career.
Drove down turned around and headed back behind the hotel. Some one was a head of me and pulled up to her. I turn around - park and kept an eye out to see what would happen. She stood outside the car - talked to the drive for some time. Another car pulled up behind and waited. After a few minutes the first car drove off - now she is talking to the second card. A few minutes goes by - she is still standing and talking through the passenger window. Starts walking away and toward where I am parked, but turns into the alley and starts walking down it. The second car turns around and starts to follow her - almost immediately a black mustang with tinted windows that was parked across from me turns on his lights and starts to follow the second car and the gal down the alley. The second car stops for a minute, but conitues on as does the mustang.
I decided I didn't need to be there any more and start driving away. An LE car turns into the street I am on - and I decide that I really don't need to be there any longer.
Don't know what happened - but was wondering how any of you might have handled it from the beginning. Was she too good to be true? Should that have been a clue? I am not saying that it was a sting - but from what I saw there are few other explanations.
Anyway - I would suggest looking out for black mustangs with tinted window at the least if you are in the area.

my genral rule of thumb is pull over roll down window ask if they need a ride. if they try to engage me in any other type of conversation i just drive off saying nothing. i have met several decoy's that way and knock on wood have never been busted except for being detained at my car.there also seems to be some overzelous johns out there that will want to follow you around or pull up behind you real quick to get you away from a girl. there is a white valley electrical contracter car that does that in the morning's i worry about people like this cause they can end up getting hurt from someone who panics and try's to run or try's something else. anyway if ya see someone following you make sure of it then either pull over and let them pass or keep driving till they get bored. ps the reason why i put the name of that guys company is that he is a real pain in the ass.

I'm not convinced the woman Redbeard saw was a decoy--particularly since he didn't see anyone being interrogated by marked or unmarked LE. Another explanation is that the Mustang was driven by the hooker's boyfriend, chauffeur, pimp--whatever you want to call him. Remember, because of the awful "prostitution loitering" laws that virtually every ho city in WA has, you can be nailed for saying ANYTHING that suggests you're looking for a sex-for-money deal. I'm glad that someone else has gone down to PDX and had this experience.

The nice thing about the booths at 'F' Video is that the doors are full sized and they close and lock. You can watch a move and get a knob job with enough room to move around.

Though the number and quality of the girls does seem to vary. I would recommend checking them out crocodile dundee style before dropping your pants!

went cruising at midnght sunday/monday morning.i went from 175th south i saw a fat black sw with a umbrella on 85th, then nothing till downtown. i just saw nasty old laura out around the hurricane i passed decided to goto roxbury/white center. i was just doing the turn around on i think 15th and a cute latino chick yelled at me. i decided to stop and her name was jennifer almost waist length dark brown hair very skinny but very nice looking. i would say a solid 7 in street looks here is the funny part she only wanted 25 for a bbbj. i offered 40 for fs she accepted we got to the location and i got one of the best bbbj i have had in a while. we ended with the rest full service covered the only negative thing i have to say is she was somewhat in a hurry, but was extemely nice about it. i will be looking for her again. i guess roxbury is picking up :)

Cruised the H'Cane stroll last night and tonight, both between 6-7pm. Nothing tonight, but last night I saw at least one, possibly two others. The definite was Goth Chick; she was near the front doors of King Cat, yelling about something (having a bad night?). I saw another girl standing on the opposite side of King Cat; not sure if she was a SW, but she was just standing there (she was dressed normally, so I'm not sure). There was also someone standing on the corner just outside H'Cane, but again not sure of her intentions.

Lastly... I'm sure many of you read the story in yesterdays paper (Seattle Times I think) that state funding for lower-income people is going to be cut significantly. Sad as this is, it could translate to more SW activity. We'll see.

I did a reconnaissance on David Lee Chung's turf last night because no one has reported activity there in two months. I'm happy to report that the old strip is still alive--at least parts of it. I made my first pass through around 9 PM, and didn't see anything convincing. I parked near the south end in Federal Way to take a rest, and ended up there longer than I had planned. When I finally took off again around 11:30 PM, it had started to rain lightly. I saw nothing again in Federal Way, but spotted the first convincing SW of the night at S 260th St in Kent-Des Moines (east side of the highway is in Kent, west is in Des Moines). I got a close look at her when she briefly wandered into a motel parking lot: Caucasian and about a "4" -- or lower "fair" quality in my three-tiered rating system. I went back to S 272nd St to turn around, and saw a probable working the bus stop just south of that intersection. I didn't get as close to her, but she looked to be white, 20s, and a "3" or "4". I headed north again (by this time the rain was getting heavier), and saw about 3 probables (two were apparently working together) and maybe 1 possible between about S 252nd St and S 240th St. I kept circling back to get better looks of them because the lighting isn't too good at many spots through there, and at one point a marked Kent LE unit (stealthily parked off the highway) must have saw me slow to a crawl and gawk at the SWs, so I decided to give that stretch a rest for awhile. I headed back south and saw another definite (white, lower fair quality) walk from about 260th to 272nd--where she went into a convenience store. I loitered in the lot until she came out to use the restrooms on the side of the store, and she waved me over when she saw me gawking at her. I pegged her about a 3.5 or 4 on the 1-10, and headed north again. By now it was around 12:30 AM and raining rather hard. I saw a probable
(maybe black, rather young) at a bus stop at S 216th St in Des Moines, and a convincing older, fat black (solidly in my "poor" category) in the Tukwila stretch north of S 154th St. I think I made one more pass down the strip through Kent, but the activity seemed to be dissipating (possibly due to the weather), so I decided to end my Pac Hwy fact-finding tour.

What I saw last night on Pac Hwy is consistent with what I've seen there in the last year or two: The most active stretch is clearly from Kent-Des Moines Rd to just past S 272nd St (Kent & Des Moines). The next most reliable stretch seems to be from S 154th St to S 130th St (Tukwila). Federal Way, SeaTac, and Des Moines--from S 216th St to Kent-Des Moines Rd--have been mostly barren. LE is very thick throughout the whole strip from Tukwila to Federal Way (often idling in inconspicuous spots with their lights off), but I saw no obvious prostitution-related harassment last night.

There was a white panel van, a late 90s pickup truck, a blue mini pick-up, a white mercedes, and a red saab, that were going round and round, often not using turn signals. Don't be stupid, gentlemen. Be a little less frantic and it will be better in the long run.

Eating at the Cane

About 2 years ago I ate at the Cane quite a few times. I always got a breakfast meal (for lunch or dinner). It's not bad. The "ham scramble" is ok. Twice I met SWs there. HURRICANE / AMP AREA & BELLEVUE WAY NE BETWEEN 8TH AND NORTHRUP ON 2/5/03:

First off..the unsuccessful stroll.
I strolled Bellevue Way and didn't see anything happening.
Three strolls were made (8:00am - 9:00am / 3pm - 4pm / 6pm -7pm).
I'm still optimisitic and will stroll a few more times.
If anyone has had any success, let me know. I work up in Bellevue as well.

Also by the Hurricane..I strolled from 6:30am - 7:30am and last night around 10pm. No luck there but had some suck in the AMP (formerly DV8) area. I made a rare daytime jaunt from south Everett to Seattle and back on Evergreen Way / Hwy 99 / Aurora yesterday in the late afternoon, and didn't see much. There was at least one probable (poor quality, even from the other side of the street) on the northern Aurora stretch, nothing around 6th Ave N-Hurricane Cafe-Denny Park, one possible (black, upper fair quality) walking against traffic in the Shoreline stretch, and one or two possibles in the unincorporated Snohomish County stretch of 99 north of Lynnwood. I hate cruising most strolls in the daytime because of the heavy traffic, (usually) scant activity, and abundance of legitimate pedestrians; and yesterday did nothing to change my view.
