Thru the KBG wireless, she has returned back to Korea.Thanks. I hope she comes back soon.
Town was okay, went to twilight, camelot, summit and 74. Only 74 seemed busy. Not much to report unfortunately, hopefully tomorrow is a bit more eventful.Summit and Twilight unbelievably dead. 74 was kind of busy and had a party happening in the room. There were several pretty girls most of whom had nice legs and butts. All were busy though.
EG also had a couple of semi-hot chicks, getting drink after drink at the bar.
Used to be I'd get the girls' names for next time, but seeing as most girls nowadays are only transients, I didn't bother.
Camelot looked busy and parking was packed in the area. It appeared to be the Love Boat of that night, as hostesses were lip locked with their customers just outside the door.
Didn't drink enough to get buzzed, and good thing because there were a lot of cops cruising and lurking about the area.

Parked my car at Summit, stand at the door looking in, the place was so dead, I thought the place was closed, did not bother to step in to waste my time.
74, EG, Splash had some young princesses, they were busy with LVB. Was looking for Lily at EG, the girl I sat with a few months back, she was not there, anyone know where she is?
Kalihi side slow too, but it beats town side, usual crew working at Lilac, GT so so busy, 904 1/4 full.
Saw couple of princesses at the golf course this afternoon. Maybe instead of working they spending time with their Sugar.
Bars used to packed during 3 days weekend. Now you can count the drinkers in one hand on most bars. Sad!!

Had some business in pc this afternoon so said wth and scoped out a few bars there. Acacia had a new bar tender who is local Korean. Think her name was Tina. She was fairly drunk early and very friendly. She bought me a few beers. Saw a MILF come in and she looked nice. Nice legs and wearing stripper heels. Didn't get her name but she was grinding her ass on the old Guy that works there. Going to have to go back and see if I can interview her.I ran a lone wolf trip to Acacia tonight to watch the end of game 4 of the Hawk / Cavaliers series. I saw no lookers. I hoped to see "Tina", the hapa Korean bartender from last year (it's been that long since I've been here), but no luck. Anyone know where she is working now?
After the game, I drove to see if the talent improved later at night at Mama Mia (old Club Festival). Nope. Still too early, possibly. No one introduced themselves to me, either.

The new team better step in fast before they can't pay the electric bill.

Bars in Kapiolani area all slow these days. I am amaze how some of these owners be able to pay their bills. I took a tour during the 3 days memorial weekend. Dead slow in most of bars in the area. What you were dealing with the parking problem on Friday night probably in resulting people going to near by restaurant and clubs on graduation night. I got stuck in traffic by NBC and ran into problem finding parking also.

They can raise all they want, as all I can see only LVBs going bar and spend big bucks on princess. Casual drinkers will not spend more and getting less. Look at the faces they have at the bars. No newbies and young chicks. Only grandma and same faces I see hundreds of times before.

Bars are passing on the increases.The inevitable has arrived; increase of liquor prices is in-line with the rest of other goods and services, however. Happy hour beer price increase to $3 is too large a jump and may affect an already stagnant KB business even moreso.

The majority of the day crowd are retirees on a fixed income I doubt their Social Security and Pension increased at the same rate. This will affect the day crowd and these guys that drink daytime. This will cut their drinking time down buy at least a beer.
I finally thought Jade mama had a chance to collect on this niche market by not raising prices but heard she like the rest raised her prices to match 74 and Evergreen. Hey Jade $2. 50/2. 75 you still making money and you would pack the place how about it can you survive with this margin? You would get new customers cause when you on a fixed income. 50 cents is. 50 cents, even saving a quarter would appeal to some daytime drinkers I am sure.
I apologize to the mama mentioned in the previous post but, do you need to keep the same profit margin? Unlike the mama above your trade is at night with the second shift and for evergreen after 2 AM where you make a killing. How about lowering the prices and see how that goes a $1 increase is a bit excessive. What do you think?
I realize the hard cores will still come and probably not stay as long as this is a daily ritual for them but you really need to take care of the clientele you have left. These younger guys are not as dumb as us old futs so you need to milk them with the food and the beer. And you still going turn a profit. If you keep squeezing blood from rock you will eventually only have a bloody hand. Just saying. And entirely my opinion.

74 had papers on the wall. I think it's about the price hike. Was to drunk to see clearly. Didn't even check if they raise night time beer. I guess you can't call it happy hours on the day time, but sad hours. Seeing all the grand pops with the sour face cause they have to rake in that extra doller.
International was dead lastnight. Thought you guys was joking but not. Had only Kimmi and one older skinny lady. She good to go. I was turn on but I was drunk too. Spent to much money on Lea at Splash. Never had enough to buy that lady bartender a drink. Saw a fattie at Cam's two weeks ago but never seen her lastnight. I think yuri was her name. I like that kind cause nobody like try.

Aloha gang, Spotlite grand opening was nothing special to me. The food was probably the highlight. That and every time Yubin sings. LOL. Her lvb's were all out in full force last night. Amazing how she gets customers when she doesn't drink alcohol and also has a significant other. She must really know how to work a crowd. All other girls were so so busy nothing to write home about. Yubin by far went to get new drinks the most often with Sylvia drinking the second most as far as we could tell. Some other girl in a black top and skirt seemed to be gaining ground but was third. Lol
As we sat there last night I noticed the place was about 80 percent full but majority of the customers were just sipping. As a result the girl they were sitting with rarely went back up for a new drink. In that type of situation, I think everyone loses money. The house because of all of the food and the girls because the drinks are not as frequent as they would like. The girls who sang last night tended to be more popular in receiving more frequent nekohana.

I am on no one side, but I think the money from the drink should be divided 50/50, $10 go to the BG and $10 go to the mama, since some of the girls have salary, it is fair the money should be divided equally. Big places like Summit and EG mama pay huge rent, I don't know how much it is, but my guess is $20 K a month? Someone probably know it better than me.
I think the price for the neko probably going to increase, maybe $25? The champagne bottle had increased.

Fkn had me rolling now that's 1 hell of a catch phrase. So it seems the kb scene is on its downward spiral. IMHO its just-eventuality. Never will it be like 15,20, 30 years ago where they all pretty much take care of you like Princes or Kings. However they do take care of Jesters so I for 1 cannot and will not grumble. Almost always drink on the house, pupu's galore, carepackage for go home. On occasion I do purchase beers for myself but always end up too many markers for the day / night so I ultimately never lose unless I get mental and start buying neko's like crazy which happens from time to time but that's only in all honesty may way of thanking the mama's and / or bartenders and the occasional gal that buys me drinks. I've learned to not say no when it comes to food because it obviously means yes to them LOL. I'm pretty much exclusive to 1 place now as it is our homebase for meeting up with pals and ofcourse how we are treated there. Even when I visit other locales near here they always take care. Why? Hell if I know. Maybe because I'm just a Jester looking to get drunk by my lonesome or with my pals. Either which way take care of those who cater / take care of you that's my philosophy. The future seems bleek for a many bars but for the 1's that know how to treat the customer not just as a Dollar Sign but as friends and loyal companions kudo's to you. Ofcourse never take advantage of their generosity because k-karma is a biatch and will return to you exponentially. Hahaha. Talk about struggling, mamas are cutting back, the other night I went to Summit to have some beer and food, the bartender asked me to pay her upfront for the food. I remember Summit used to have good free house pupus, not anymore. You like to eat, you pay upfront unless you know the bartender real good.
Increasing nekos price will probably put a fetal blow to the KBs industrial. Mamas make the most money from us suckers buying drinks, if the price is increased most causal drinkers will just cutting back or simply say no. I am sure LVBs and big spenders will continue to buy their princesses drinks, but they aren't too many of.
Them out there these days. LVBs spend their money for the princesses off site like taking them go shopping instead.
I once told by a princess, " don't buy me drinks here, just give me the money to spend or buy me things" hah.
50/50 is what they used to get for credit card drinks. Who knows what it's going to turn into. It's clear that they're going to try and raise nekohana prices. Just say no!
Primo brewery I remember was in Waimalu, across from the watercress patch. The bottle was short, snub-nosed, and when taste good. Primo sales when dive aifter Schlitz when take over Primo.
A dollar raise in prices is too much; the happy hour landscape going change and also affect the night receipts.

I think we missed you we were there from 5:30 to 7:30 by the big table close to the bar. Bought Yubin old Mama Candy and New Mama Sandy and bartendress Julie drinks, ate did not sing Karaoke and left early.
Alohaoe.We got there about 9. It was relatively busy. Stayed until midnight and the bar was still full and a few tables with large groups were still there. Lackluster grand opening but good food.

I have noticed a significant decline in the bars within the past 3 years. Bars have closed down and remain closed, girls have become more and more scarce (new girls from korea). I see the same girls that live here permanently just move from bar to bar. The scene has become stagnant.
I am sure that lack of business has been hurting the mama's incomes. I wonder if they seriously think about why business is so crappy and what they can do to increase the number of customers coming in like how it was before. Once in awhile I see some new 2-3 new girls from korea, but the number of customers looking to sit with these girls are usually 5 guys to 1 girl. The problem is that there are not enough girls to go around. Guys don't mind spending money, but there aren't any young pretty girls around to spend money on! Do the mamas know this?!
I'm just disappointed in the direction KB's are going in. I had alot of good times in the bar in the past, but now its pathetic. I hope something changes, ie. Mamas doing something differently, bringing more new girls, and not becoming more pushy to sell drinks just because business is slow. I know everyone guy feels the same way.
Beer on tap is a moneymaker. Problem is maintenance: the equipment needs to be clean and cleaned well due to the yeast build-up in the lines and spigot; it gets pilau and you know the KBGs ain't go do or pay someone for maintain sanitation.
Nekohana is already equivalent to $40. They drink in smaller glasses and with ice; just like half of what supposed to be.
Pupus no problem; can bring our own snacks, eat dry and light, or whatnot. An outing at the KBs with full dishes going be like a special outing.
They relegate, we innovate (but no can convince the LVBs).

In Kalihi, Cheers Station and Spotlite. In Town, Splash. They have good sound system but can't guarantee you hot girls. If I have to pick one of these three. Try your luck at Splash.

Talent / Ellie raised their happy hour beer price to $3 for one day with inadequate notice (and thought). They found out that nobody coming around because.
International, Twilight, etc. , still going with the $2; so they switched back to $2 happy hour beer (rumored that it's $4 at regular price, but not sure). Some of their regulars have already found new digs so now they stuck.
When you business owner, make decisions based on data or some kind of research / thought not from another KB owner already charging $3 happy hour beer (duh) because "misery loves company. ".
The Fox is now working at International with new Mama Candy. She still looks awesome with that body of hers and cleavage showing. We bought her couple of drinks sang karaoke, she always makes us laugh lots of fun.

No such animal.I wish you luck in finding a cheap Karaoke place in a Korean Bar. Like B73 said "no such animal" if this was a couple decades ago maybe but not today for the average $100 night before you are averaging for a good night about $300/ night then you add in the karaoke at $2/$1 at number of songs it adds up especially if everyone is singing and the booze is flowing. The female companionship in the room man that adds up really fast especially if they bringing in the Ichiko at $120/ bottle that adds and adds and adds. I think you getting our point there is no cheap Korean Bar. My advice is go to a regular Karaoke bar get a little sauced there and the end the night at the k-Bar. I think you and your gangs dollar will go a little farther unless you want a $1000.00 birthday or special occasion? Just my 2 cents for what it's worth. Bars now can get very expensive for what you are planning and thinking. If you thinning of cleaning your pipes you would have better luck at a Massage Parlor if you not one regular or Brad Pitt. LOL. Be safe guy there are a lot of blue lights around Kapiolani and they usually are there at closing so leave earlier than that if possible above all have fun but no regrets the morning after go in with your eyes open. Please.

Reminds me of Liberty House. They only catered to Japanese and didn't take care of locals, who then shopped elsewhere. When the Japanese boom ended, LH did not have a customer base and then they were "stuck". Then they were gone, much like some town Korean bars.

The beer keg idea is viable but ever try to move a full keg? You going need the guy with the 18 inch arms. I have also have had problems with the tap not fitting right man that is a royal pain in the A. The unit cost per glass as you said would be more manageable. The 16 oz size glass for 12 0 z price. Nah! Wishful thinking. But the bars need to do something as the KB's are really stale and I really have a hard time justifying in my mind the amount I am spending vs the returns I am getting. As one of the brothers said most of these women are retreads moving from bar to bar the only new young ones are the fob's from Korea on the 90 day plan (if that's your preference). Oh how the bars are changing! Camelot and International have new mamas, Splash will be getting a new co-mama, and word is Mimi wants to take a break, so EG will be getting a new mama. The more the bars change, the more it stays the same.

You are 100 percent correct. Girls moving from bar to bar or girls working at the same bar for the last 10 years. Going bar these days seeing the same faces is like going to a super market seeing the same cashier work there day after day.
Why bother to spend money when you know nearly most of the girls working now already have someone taking care of them? We need new bloods.

Just about every bar was extra slow. Green Tea bar half full. Lexi there doing her thing with her lvb's. Lilac only three customers. Yuri sitting around, no Yujin sighting. You and I bar full but all tables empty. La Novia was dead. That place is so big that when there's no one in there it seems even more empty. Moved on to 904. About half full. Not all girls working. Spotlite very slow but the ever popular Yubin still doing her game on her prey. Called it can early night and headed home.

Went to check for new fishes. Summit super dead a total waste of time, Twilight 5 or 6 drinkers, EG slow early on, Splash OK some eye candy roving around. Did some shopping at Ala Moana shopping center. Saw a BG and her old goat BF coming out from Chanel store. She was happy with a smile!

International. Good pupus, prepared by one of the bartenders. It was more like a mix plate, steak, toss green salad, Shoyo chicken, long rice, Kim chee, served all in one plate. Problem was not too many people there to enjoy the delicious food. Left them $20 tip for the food.
Summit ghost town, went in to have a drink since I parked my car there, did not ordered food for 2 reasons, I was full and I did not liked they asked me to pay upfront for the Food last time.
Kalihi. Spotlite, the bar was packed, mama Sandy sure know why to run her bar, I counted 12 girls working there, some young ones, I need to go back to do more recon so since the young princesses were busy.
904, good fishing pond, saw some town girls working there, guess the smart girls know where the crowds is at.
74 had papers on the wall. I think it's about the price hike. Was to drunk to see clearly. Didn't even check if they raise night time beer. I guess you can't call it happy hours on the day time, but sad hours. Seeing all the grand pops with the sour face cause they have to rake in that extra doller.
International was dead lastnight. Thought you guys was joking but not. Had only Kimmi and one older skinny lady. She good to go. I was turn on but I was drunk too. Up and down week to say the least. Wednesday night all bars pack.
La Novia was standing room only. Angie, Hana, Mina all busy. Even the old grannies had action. LOL.
904 packed house on Wednesday as well. We sat with an older dizzy chick named Nana. Nothing special to report. Lots of karaoke singing and lots of drunkened bar girls. Or at least they were ACTING drunk.
Spotlite was the slowest of all three but still busy. Bar completely full while Sarah tending bar. Senna seemed the most busiest there while there was no sign of Yubin. Mama there is very gracious with food. Met a little hyper mosqiuto with bleached curly hair. Extremely playful but extremely irritating. Not sure on her name sorry.
Green Tee last night was slow probably because there was no Lexi to be found. I do notice a recurring trend when she's not there, its not quite as busy.
Most bars closed early last night and probably for the better. Wednesday far more busier than Thursday.
Stopped at Leslie's Place for one last round but I left when a local guy and his girl started arguing at the bar. That place attracts a really ugly crowd.

Like Shame said no more really any lookers but that can be different for you it matters what you like. When the bgs aren't drunk they are nice though and most of them mind they own business and don't really bother. Once in awhile you will get a couple of bgs that will try to push drinks most of the time its when they are either really drunk or really slow. If you do want to play you have to go sit in the booths that are down the hall area where no more much lights. If you like you can actually get cheap action outside or across the street but again nothing really special and you got to be careful because most of the time they are mahus. I stop by Christine's once a while sometimes to start off the night before I go into town and sometimes the opposite when I'm bored in town and don't really want to go home I stop by there.

Most of the nights 74 was the busiest of the bars. Got a couple Viet bgs again in 74 and 2 new kbgs one from Canada the other from Korea.
International was dead walked in and then right back out on the multiple days I was out.
Exclusive was dead when I stopped by before or around 10 pm. On the nights I've gone after 10 pm more bgs to choose from and if you like the more local looking type bgs then its a place to check out. The only prob is the crowd there is really possessive with their bgs. So far the times I've gone there I've run into a couple bgs there sometimes work at Supper old Limelight. Got a couple nice looking bgs but they drink like they have been in a desert the entire day.
Camelot has its regulars so the bar isn't really that slow nor is it busy. Since a new Mama has taken over and she doesn't recognize me she keeps on trying to introduce me to different bgs that I've known from either going there before or the bgs came from another bar. Mama tried to introduce me to new bg named Mint haha j / k someone just changed their name. Then she tried a couple more that I already knew so I told her politely no. She did make a comment to my friend if you no like buy drink for the bg then you need to leave so that was the cue to leave. Only went to Camelot once in the last 2 weeks so debating on going back or not.

Haha it would of been fun or bad if one of us was drunk and wanted to stay and drink but that didn't happen so nothing to really report.
Gion (Japanese bar) that is a bit hidden or forgotten about since its in the corner the same side as Sandy's. Another bar where the bgs were just sitting and looking at their phones only had one bg entertaining a booth of guys. So just popped head in but didn't stay.
Twilight was a hit and miss. One night it was the busiest bar next to 74 another night it was pretty slow. Met a bg that said she was Japanese / Korean more on the tan side with some tattoos that sat with us she was nice to talk with and can sing just a heads up though she drinks a bit fast.

Mama tried very hard to get my friend and I to purchase a bg a drink as soon as we got there but backed off because she was busy with her own customer. Still even if it was late though a couple of the booths were occupied with customers and bgs.
EG only went to eat sushi or to sober up. Going out almost every night to the same bars can get a bit boring which is why I haven't really posted in awhile.Good helpful report. No matter who runs it International always seems to suck. Right on point about xclusive with guys who act like the girls are their girlfriends. It's why I don't buy drinks there for the most part but good eye candy. Will have to check out the V girls at 74. I know who one is I think already. It's usually the only Makaloa bar busy before 2 am.

If you really bored and know how to play the game correctly you can get play at Christine's. Now is it worth it that is totally up to you. Like Shame said no more really any lookers but that can be different for you it matters what you like. When the bgs aren't drunk they are nice though and most of them mind they own business and don't really bother. Once in awhile you will get a couple of bgs that will try to push drinks most of the time its when they are either really drunk or really slow. If you do want to play you have to go sit in the booths that are down the hall area where no more much lights. If you like you can actually get cheap action outside or across the street but again nothing really special and you got to be careful because most of the time they are mahus. I stop by Christine's once a while sometimes to start off the night before I go into town and sometimes the opposite when I'm bored in town and don't really want to go home I stop by there.About 3 ok average to above average Kalihi style girls in there and a few below. Avoid Sofia she's a total *****. Dragons report has good info for you. It's ok for when you don't want leave the west side. Mahus outside usually so don't be drunk LOL unless you into that haha.

La Novia, P Water, 904, Lilac, Green Tee and Spotlite all really busy. Kalihi mamas all made money this weekend. Still no Jenny at La Novia. Most of the crowd there seems to be for the local bar backs. Although Angie was looking good in her short skirts. P Water busy on Friday probably because of Van and her following. That place is just too small. 904 had a couple of new faces but never got names. The norms were there, Sasha, Nana, Laura, etc. Lilac had Yujin singing and dancing and talking so loud as usual. Green Tee Lexi was MIA as well as Spotlite Yubin. Sena looked exceptional, she has a nice girl look to her but is rather playful. Spotlite mama always takes good care if us. Fun weekend.

I have been going there for food for a while, each time I leave $20 or more for the food and $5 to tip the bartender, however lately I go there the bartender ask me to pay her up front. I know there is some untrustworthy customers out there eat and leave without paying, but everyone know me there I can't see any reasons they have to collect from me first. It is like they are putting me in the same group as the untrustworthy. Any other bars I pay when I leave and I would never short change any bartenders.
BTW, Summit dead again only have some youngsters throwing darts and a few drinkers on Monday night. No new faces in sight.

Bar with 2 BGs working was unhearded for in the old days. But that is the trend in town right now lead to slow in business. I went to Summit to have some food on Monday early evening, only two grandma was working. I did not gone that far to PC, ended up in Kalihi, it was far much better there. If you are going 74, Talents, EG, do not park your car at the Adult entertainment store marked stalls in the lot. My friend got his car towed. I always park my car at the Summit lot, they have valet parking and has truck load of stalls, it is within walking distance of all of the near by bars.

Guess will have to skip the lower-side Kapiolani Blvd. KBs for a while because the aroma is probably from raw sewage backup. Not very pleasant or safe (methane), if it is indeed raw sewage. Poor planning on the part of development in the Kapiolani residential and business areas; ongoing problem. I'll stay upstream for now.

I am not sure if the was some kind of connection, but it's like the NBA trade draft and some free agents jumping around. Sunday was slow. They said Saturday (4th) was slow too. I was going to check out 74 too but just decided to call it an early night.

Just cool head and don't go looking for trouble as you will usually find it. It's one reason why I went cash and carry unless I know the people involved (e. G. Bartender, Mama, Hostess / host). I will be rooting for your quick resolution in this matter, usually bank will require you to try to first resolve this with merchant or vendor if no resolution then dispute but due to the large amount probably a input error. I hope that what it was anyway good luck on the resolution. I would follow with your bank closely till this is resolved usually 11 days from date of charge, again I think and hope this was just an input error on part of bartender. . it better be. After that we went to Saigon where I used my debit to pay the Saigon tab. Next day I told my bank about the mysterious charges and they did research and told me that the address of the business is on makaloa. Coincidence? I don't think so. The only time my card left my hand was Saigon. I remember them trying to make me sign again saying they couldn't read my signature and I said no.

Uncle, Summit remind me of Asia Spa, only bad reviews and reports coming out of that place. At least you have some sort of enjoyment coming out of Asia Spa when you spend your hard earned money there. Perhaps the young rowdy Chinese dudes hang around with the young Chinese girls getting kind of out of control, they are getting a free ride talking to the girls. Heard it through the grapevine, Summit lease will not be extended, the Summit / Casino might be tear down along will 74, Talents, EG for new development in the area. Super block development is in the making like the one across the street at Walmart. Rail project coming in the area soon, we will see a lot of small business closing, buildings demolish, street closing and busting up. Pearl City and Waipahu are in a mess right now.
Maybe it is better for me anyway, since I still live in Kalihi, saving me a trip to town.

Met a friend who is a vet on this site last Friday at International and was kinda weird. I was managing a massive hangover from the previous night but agreed to meet up because we all know the best cure for a hangover is to pound again. Although I didn't drink too much. I'm blinded from the early afternoon sun as I am entering the establlishment and noticed an attractive lady or attractive enough for me to look but kinda hard as my old eyes are still adjusting to the environment.
