If I start staying downtown at the holiday inn during the week is it safe or ok to walk the streets looking for action? or better to be in a car? Sounds like many of the post refer to the streets (madison & monroe) that are close to there. I like to suck down 4-6 beers so therefore prefer not to be driving.

UFS is Unclaimed Freight Store. It is on SE Adams. The bakery is on Lincoln. I have had better luck on the near north side of town. Monroe, Madison etc. Good luck and let us know what you find.
Was in Peoria over the weekend. I didn't see anyone out. But I wasn't able to get out at night due to family bothering me.

Hotel near Mulligans? The only way to get some numbers is to get otu and find the women. Most of them dont have phones so you will usually have to drive to them and take them where you want to go. Was in Peoria earlier in the week and did not see anyone out and was en rout to head out of town when was flagged down by Charlene, a girl I had seen several times last year and had vanished. I will be working out of Peoria for the next year, I read the past posts and tried to follow the routes but came up empty last night. I made my tour from 9:00pm to 11:00pm, are there any specific times that more girls prefer.
Also I am not sure of my route, I mainly drove around Spring st between Adams and Monroe, and down Levielle. I did not find a single SW, not even the snaggle tooths that help to establish landmarks. Was I in the wrong area all together. I did see a few unmarked cars, perhaps they supressed the SW show. Any insight would be good, also I am not sure where the 'church' you guys refer to is. I drove around Monroe and Madison and did not see one, if someone could send me this info as well, or PM me with specifics as to not alert LE.

The church that is mentioned is the big Catholic church that can be seen coming into Peoria from the east as soon as downtown gets into view.Little easier to miss if you are in the area and at ground level.

Sunday night around10:30 I just got into town and decided to cruise the hot spots as reported in here. The recent posts seemed to indicate slim pickins out there. Being in a bit of a hurry to find something I planned to swing at the first pitch so didn’t spend much time looking at what kind of selection was available. I went south on 29 from 24, stopped at a little dive convenience/liquor store and met 2 black chicks, one very hot who wanted to hookup with me but were booked for Sunday. Driving west on I74 from Morton, IL and coming into Peoria, you will cross a bridge and be able to see the Catholic church on your right. Take the Washington exit (first exit) and take your first right onto Adams (I think that is adams) - one way heading right. I'm fairly certain you can exit Washington St. coming the other direcdtion.
Take your first left (Bryan I believe) and cross over Jefferson (one way going the other direction) - go one block and take the first right (only way you can go). That will put you on the main stroll to Spring (about 10 blocks). Turn left on Spring and go up one block and turn left - that puts you on a less travelled stroll all the way back to Bryan. 9-11 PM should have produced many sw's - unless LE activity was high. Then you will strike out until they disappear for at least 30 minutes or more.

Thanks to all of you who gave me info on the stroll. I went out last night around 9pm. Did th tour down Adams and left on Spring. I did this about 6-7 times until I found 1 BSW on Spring st. I stopped to ask her if she was working, but when I got a closer look I decided against it. She seemd to be about 35-40 yrs old, she didnt look dirty or homeless, but more like someones mom or maybe grandmom.

Did a once through of peoria yesterday evening First off Madison St during the ussual stroll has just been tar and graveled, which can mess up the finish on one's vehicle. Thought I'd see what the strolls (north and south) were up to; last time I checked them out, I was ripped off and have stayed away for a while. Went by the church area and saw some nice looking white chicks hanging out with some brothers outside a white house that's on Monroe about one house down from the corner with Spalding. Last night (Sunday), I ran the church stroll at about 9:40 PM. First loop turned up nothing - although there were two girls - a black girl and a white girl - three blocks from Spring street - and they were giving the look. I doubled back and they were gone. Both were in their mid-20s.

PEORIA - Three women were strangled to death. Two more died likely from an overdose of cocaine. And all five of their bodies were dumped in rural areas of Peoria and Tazewell counties.
Could one person be responsible for the deaths of several black Peoria prostitutes? A task force is looking into the possibility.
For the past 15 days, four officers from the sheriff's departments of Peoria and Tazewell counties, two detectives with the Peoria Police Department and an analyst with the Illinois State Police have been poring over evidence, looking for possible connections between the deaths of the five women.
"We're not sure at this point if it's the work of one person," Tazewell County Sheriff Bob Huston said. "But with five deceased individuals, at this point, we can't say if they're all related, some are related or all unrelated.
"It's too early to say (if there's a serial killer), but it's also not a far-fetched idea."
Looking for suspects
If one person is responsible, most likely he will fit a certain profile. The vast majority of serial killers are white men who kill alone, said Jeffrey A. Walsh, an assistant professor of Criminal Justice Sciences at Illinois State University.
Walsh currently is finishing his Ph.D. in criminal justice with a specialization in forensic psychology. His master's thesis was about the travel patterns of serial murderers, and he was a research assistant for a book titled "Serial Murderers and Their Victims," published
by Wadsworth Press, authored by Dr. Eric Hickey.
Serial killers tend to have average or slightly above average intelligence, despite their portrayals in movies and books where they are characterized as being highly intelligent diabolical killers, he said. Also, they most likely experienced some type of physical, sexual or emotional abuse in their past.
Walsh said literature he's studied on serial killers suggests there are potentially several different classifications.
The one Walsh suspects could be preying on Peoria's prostitutes is the mission-oriented serial killer.
Linda Neal, 40; Frederickia Brown, 29; Barbara Williams, 36; Sabrina Payne, 36; and Wanda Jackson, 40, all lived alternative lifestyles - they walked the streets, exchanging sex for money. The earnings were then mostly spent to feed a dangerous cocaine addiction.
Also prostitutes are considered "disposable people," meaning they often have loose ties to the community, are transients and associate with others who also lack attachments to others, Walsh said. Someone who habitually uses drugs also fits into the category of being disposable.
"Individuals, who themselves are involved in law-violating behavior, like drugs, put themselves at greater risk of victimization," Walsh said. "They are commonly involved in suspicious behaviors, and their absence is less concerning and not alarming to those who know them."
Neal, whose body was found Sept. 25 in rural Hopedale, had not been reported missing, according to police. In fact, police say they have tracked her whereabouts down to several hours before her body was discovered.
Jackson was last seen alive climbing into a vehicle driven by a white man near West Peoria about midnight March 20, 2001. She was found dead in a field by a bar in Pottstown the next afternoon. No one ever called police to alert them she was gone.
The bodies of Payne and Williams were discovered within seven months of one another, on July 27, 2003, in a Tremont cornfield, and Feb. 5, 2004, near Edwards by the side of a rural road, respectively. They were not feared missing, either, and had last made contact with a family member or a boyfriend a few days before.
Brown's younger sister, Michelle Brown, knew something was wrong last December when she hadn't heard or seen her sister in a month. Michelle Brown notified authorities on Christmas Eve, telling them her sister had disappeared.
Brown's body was badly decomposed and covered in snow when it was found Feb. 21 near Hanna City.
Walsh said knowing why a serial killer would dispose of his victims' bodies in remote but mildly traveled areas is difficult to pinpoint.
"These victims were not disposed of in an effort to prevent their detection long term," he said. "Rather, they were disposed of in areas just remote enough to buy the offender some time and reduce the likelihood of timely recovery.
"Sometimes the offender simply needs to find a remote area to reduce the likelihood of being seen doing the dump and knows, even wants, the victim to be found.
"There have been cases where the offender will closely follow the events as they unfold in the news and as the community tries to put the pieces together."
Neal, Brown and Jackson were strangled. The transcript of Brown's inquest says a ligature, like a rope, cord or piece of clothing, was used to kill her. Jackson also suffered a head injury of unknown origin. An exact manner of Payne's death was never established, but a Tazewell County coroner's jury decided that she died likely from a cocaine overdose. A toxic level of cocaine was found in Williams' body, which is believed to have caused her death.
Killing someone by strangulation is "particularly personal," Walsh said.
"It offers a high degree of satisfaction for the offender and is often an integral part of the fantasy," he said. "If you think about it, there are certainly easier methods of inflicting death.
"Strangulation allows the offender to have complete control at his fingertips, literally. When a ligature is used, the same satisfaction is often had because the use of the ligature is within his total control."
Walsh said most serial killers have a "signature," while some experts argue all offenders do.
A signature, or "calling card," is something that the killer does exclusively and which is present from one crime to the next. Common examples include positioning the body in a particular way or leaving behind an item. Identifying the signature can be easy or exceedingly difficult, Walsh said.
Other times, killers will take a "trophy" from the victim.
"They may take jewelry, locks of hair, articles of clothing, pictures, etc. The trophy helps them to relive the event and provides fuel for the fantasy aspect of it," Walsh said.
Police have not said whether any of the women's bodies were positioned a specific way or if any odd items were found at the scenes. Authorities also said it has been difficult to determine if something of value was removed from the victims because of the type of lifestyle they led.
Walsh said another way to categorize serial killers is a way the FBI does - organized or disorganized.
The organized offender is more likely to use restraints to control and dominate the victim, sexually assault a living victim, use a vehicle in some phase of the crime and make an effort at disposing of the victim after the homicide.
The disorganized offender, on the other hand, is more likely to leave a tainted crime scene with evidence left behind, perform sexual acts postmortem, position the corpse or mutilate the body; less likely to make efforts at concealing the crime scene; and may inadequately dispose of the body or even use a vehicle.
In each case, the body has been dumped, or in some cases dragged a short distance between or during the drop-off. When Williams was found, she was lying face down in a snowy ditch, partially clothed with her bare feet sticking out on the roadway. Police noted that she had markings on her clothing and arms, indicating that she had possibly been dragged from one place to another. However, there were no signs of drag marks at the scene.
Police said the dumping sites are most likely the second crime scenes and do not believe the women were slain there. Investigators also would not release if any of the victims had been sexually assaulted or had intercourse before their death.
Huston said the public should not let the deaths interfere with their everyday activities. "The victims have all been of a certain lifestyle. If someone is not involved in activities attributed to the victims then they do not need to worry."
Is an end near?
Since his daughter died three years ago, Goldus Jackson has had to relive the pain four more times.
"Every time they find a new woman, I know they're going to talk about Wanda," Goldus Jackson said. "It opens an old wound over and over again. It's been hard, there's no closure in it."
Authorities from Peoria and Tazewell counties have joined forces in hopes of finding the person or people responsible so no more women's lives end tragically.
"It's not like we just started investigating these murders," Peoria County Sheriff Mike McCoy said. "We've been working with Peoria police since each of the victims has been found, but now everyone is working collectively."
Leading the task force is Tazewell County Capt. Bobby Henderson. The group meets daily to mull over information, share ideas and assign responsibilities in various parts of the investigation.
McCoy said hindering the investigation is people not coming forward with information.
"When you're dealing with social groups that are involved in drugs and prostitution, which are illegal activities, sometimes information is hard to get," McCoy said.
"The people in the community where these women were from have to realize there's an inherent danger, and we need them to come forward with information so we can put a stop to this," he said.
The task force has not singled in on any suspects and no arrests have been made, Huston said. "They really do want to catch this guy or guys," he added.
"I think they are really going to find someone," Jackson said. "The Lord knows who did it. It happened at night, and the Lord sees everything.
"I pray and hope they find whoever is doing this very soon before another family loses another loved one."

Report for last night - was in Peoria briefly. Ran the stroll around 6 PM and immediately picked up a 21ish WSW, about a 6-7 on the scale - who gave a BBBJCIM that was so good it only lasted about 6 minutes. This girl could suck the chrome off a bumper. Total cost was $23 - all I had in my pocket.

Haven't checked out this board in a while, but thought I'd report something: I was driving NE on Glen Oak, on top of the bluff above the church stroll, and what did I spy with my little eye but a WSW, fairly youngish looking, medium length brown hair, walking backwards and opening her coat to show me her white minidress. I was so shocked that I nearly drove off the road--this wasn't that far from the hospital, and it's the first time I've seen anyone even remotely like a SW on top of the bluff--it's not the best neighborhood, but it's still pretty good, and the hospital has its own security patrol. By the time I circled around, she was gone, but maybe that's for the best, if she was LE. Either LE is casting a wider net or the pros are sticking to better neighborhoods.

PEORIA - It wasn't unusual for days to pass before Laura Lollar contacted friends or relatives. But she made a habit of talking to someone, a friend or her ex-husband, at least once a week.
So not hearing from the mother of five, who has no permanent residence and stays where she can, did not worry them - until last week.
A task force investigating the death of six African-American women and three other missing women - who all fit the same profile - are now looking into her disappearance. That raises the number of missing or dead women to 10.
Lollar, 33, has not been seen or heard from for almost four weeks.
Police were first alerted to her disappearance a week ago by one of the woman's friends.
But Connie Lollar, Lollar's mother, who told police she had not seen her daughter, was not ready to file a missing person's report because she rarely saw her, despite Connie Lollar taking care of her daughter's two youngest children.
Family members looked on their own for Laura Lollar during the past week but could not find her. So Connie Lollar filed the missing person's report Tuesday.
"I'm not ready to talk about it," said Connie Lollar on Wednesday, behind the front door of her North Valley home, an area Laura Lollar normally frequented.
Laura Lollar fits the profile of six African-American women whose bodies were found dumped in rural areas of Peoria and Tazewell counties and three other missing African-American women.
Brenda Kay Erving, 41, was found Oct. 15 along Taggert Road south of Elmwood after last being seen two days before. Linda Kay Neal, 40, was found Sept. 25 near a gravel road in rural Hopedale. Neal was last seen alive the day before her body was discovered.
The task force, formed after Neal's body was found, also is investigating the deaths of Wanda Jackson, 40; Sabrina Payne, 36; Barbara Williams, 36; and Frederickia Brown, 29.
Of the four, some were strangled and others died of drug overdoses, authorities have said. Police were not releasing the cause of Neal's death, but authorities said Erving died of asphyxiation.
All six women were found in cornfields, dry creek beds or along country roads.
Many of the victims and those who are missing, including Laura Lollar, lived a lifestyle of drugs and prostitution - whether past or present isn't all clear.
The missing women, Shirley Ann Trapp, 45; Tamara "Tammy" Walls, 29; and Shaconda Thomas, 32, haven't been seen since August.
"Someone needs to come forward with information," said Peoria County sheriff's Detective Dave Wilson, who is assigned to the task force. "Whether it's about the six victims or the missing women."
Peoria County sheriff's Lt. Mark Greskoviak said 11 detectives - three from Peoria police, three each from the sheriff's departments of Peoria and Tazewell counties, and two from Illinois State Police - are dedicated solely to the task force, but all police agencies in and around Peoria are aware and assisting where they can.
"We're doing all we can to find the killer or killers," Greskoviak said.
Families of all the women point to the possibility that the deaths and disappearances may be linked to someone they knew.
Neal's family members told police that days before she went missing she said she "wasn't going to be next" and she was being cautious with whom she was with.
And Gabrielle Carpenter has said her mother Shirley Ann Trapp "was too street smart to be lured into a car of someone she didn't know - maybe in her younger years, she'd do something like that, but not anymore."
Area social organizations such as the Salvation Army and South Side Mission are working to pass out information cards to local prostitutes letting them know where they can seek shelter. Other businesses are handing out cell phones that allow users to call 911.

According to todays Peoria Journal Star the police have in custody someone who may be the killer or else has some connection with him at all. It was somewhat imprecise as to actualy why they had the guy in custody. Sort of like a big no comment. An article last week satted that there is actaully a large investigation going on to find the killer, although there may be more than one. It was also hinted at that some of the women may have died due to drug overdoses and were not murdered. Wish the cops get this one solved.
Was in town Saturday and did the stroll not much out. Did spot a WSW who said her name was Nicole and had some fun with her. She was blonde and about 30, better than average looks for a SW, She indicated that there had been a big bust of drug dealers and the girls who use crack on Wednsday night so pickings may be slim. She does not seem to be a crack head and seemed to look down upon girls who do.

O.D.'s are unfortunately par for the course, but there's more to the story when a woman overdoses on drugs and is found in a ditch in Brimfield. Do you remember if that gal that got away mentioned a blue pick up like the newspaper story did?
Went out on the 20th in the evening hours unusually early for me.Did the tour,not much out,did see LE out in force.Several possible SW non confirmed.One I wish was a tall long haired petite black girl with a nice ass and tight white jeans on,she was awesome.
