I know dealers and pimps that regularly drive girls to their dates and are never hit with that when they are pulled over. Those cases are clearly charges of "operating" escort services involving trafficking, accepting earnings, etc. NONE of that relates to transporting / driving a prostitute in your car. The flu can last up to 2 weeks as well as with other ailments. To assume it's automatically covid and keeping the numbers lower is foolish.

I just had covid and gave it to my entire family. It's WAY overblown for the vast majority of people. I had every single symptom and really only had 24 hours where I felt like crap. I've been sicker with flu, mono, etc.
As I was getting over it I found myself getting very angry that this thing has controlled my life for almost 9 months. It's no big deal for most people. The media has done a real number on us, creating a sense of panic and fear over something that does not deserve it for most people.
And yes there are cases of healthy people getting really sick and dying, but there are cases of healthy people dropping dead from heart attacks and cancer in their 30's, too. We don't change our whole lives based on that low probability, though.

Because of the exaggerated risk, many people are choosing not to get routine medical care (like early cancer screenings) or actually being banned from going. Why were hospitals laying off thousands of employees while not being allowed to conduct routine procedures at the same time? Massive military style hospitals were created and never used. Another example; the gym I go to is usually full of older people getting exercise and much needed social interaction every morning. Now it's empty while they sit home and watch the news by themselves. My father is in a nursing home, where we have always been told that we need to visit constantly to be sure he is being well cared for. None of us has been able to see him in months. This will all add up to far more deaths and destruction than a respiratory virus could. But I suppose we can all creep around with our all-protective masks on until the government approves freedom again because they have developed a drug that says so. The same government whose guidance on diet and exercise has resulted in the most chronically diseased population in history.

I was traveling across the country due to this amazing opportunity to work remotely. My employer wouldn't have allowed anybody to work remotely before. I traveled to plenty of places, visited a lot of AMPs, AAMPS, went to Las Vegas (too many stories from there) went to California, etc. If you have the opportunity, I recommend traveling on a road trip and working remotely. A lot of opportunities to try out providers that you wouldn't be able to try out here. Honestly I think many of these providers are better than the Michigan providers. I almost went to Mexico, but I didn't feel like walking through the border during this pandemic.
Speaking of the pandemic, I recently caught COVID-19 a couple of weeks ago. I came back from my trip in October, so it wasn't from my trip. I don't want to mention too many details regarding my age, but the way my body reacted to COVID-19, it felt like a very terrible common cold, but with most of the symptoms that were on the CDC website. I could still taste and smell. You do get respiratory issues as well. I have asthma, and I am used to it. If you are scared of getting COVID-19, I recommend having an inhaler on hand, and use that if your breathing goes down. I don't think it's worth a hospital trip just because you're getting shortness of breath (not medical advice), but it happens to me all the time due to my asthma.
If you are healthy, and if you don't have that many health conditions, and at my age my doctor says I am very lucky I don't have any health conditions, then I wouldn't be scared with the pandemic. If you catch COVID-19, stay away from people for a minimum of 2 weeks. It's really simple to beat, and it does spread very quickly. For me, it felt like a terrible common cold. I had much much much worse before.
If you have pre-existing conditions, especially with your lungs (ex, if you were a smoker), heart, liver, kidney, Inflammation, diabetes, etc. , I would be cautious of COVID-19 if I were you. If you are healthy and if you don't want to easily spread it to people with pre-existing conditions, please be cautious.
The fact is that 99.74% of people who catch COVID-19 will end up beating it. Let's not forget that COVID-19 is a virus, and it is not a disease.
I'm not a COVID-19 expert, but this is how I felt when I caught the virus. None of this is medical advice, this is just my story. It wasn't that bad for me. A few family members and friends caught it from me (unfortunately I had no symptoms when it first entered my system), and all of my family members and friends beat it just fine. My friend's grandfather caught it, and all he had was mild symptoms.
Stay safe out there. COVID-19 spreads very quickly, and it effects everybody differently.

As PieBoy accurately points out the US doesn't have enough people to have 50 times the 16.1 million cases. That would require 805 million cases in the US. Our population is less than half that. About 328 million (41% of 805 M).

For every 1 COVID death.
-19 more require hospitalization.
-18 of those will have permanent heart damage for the rest of their lives.
-10 will have permanent lung damage.
-3 will have strokes.
-2 will have neurological damage that leads to chronic weakness and loss of coordination.
-2 will have neurological damage that leads to loss of cognitive function.
Death rates aren't everything. You can survive and have lasting debilitating affects of a disease that isn't fully understood yet in terms of its long term consequences. Anecdotally, I know 2 people my life who technically have recovered from COVID but one still can't taste anything and the other is out of breath much faster than he otherwise would've been (it's been affecting his exercise regimen and makes him more fatigued throughout the day).

Your reply is also incorrect or should I say partial information. You see, just because at the time of the last census it was 8. 5 percent it doesn't tell the entire story.
In the first half of 2020,43. 4 percent of USA Adults ages 19 to 64 were inadequately insured. This is statistically unchanged from the last time we fielded the survey in 2018. The adult uninsured rate was 12.5 percent. Aug 19,2020.

My point was that the health care system on a whole (not individual scenarios) is poor and has been for years. And that simply has part again PART to do with the 3 reasons I listed as to why clearly the United States has more COVID-19 cases and Deaths than any other country.
Co-pays and coverage qualifications aren't necessarily what I'm talking about. I'm simply saying that in general for the ENTIRE country the health care system sucks. And it definitely plays a factor in why the United States is in this situation.
