I think you would have been pleasantly surprised if you have tried some of the California k-girl agencies. Affordable fun to be had there.

If you're established on any national board for example t e are or Humana Plex or p411, it may get a foot in the door. You could also try to hook up with one of the Seattle kgirl agencies, then use them as a future reference on your next California trip. Most of the California places are charging 300 or 320 per hour, much better than PNW agencies.
