I guess I'm not quite as skittish about those areas. There are definitely areas of Jax I wouldn't want to go during the daytime, and plenty at night, but there's a LOT on the WS that's not at all scary. I mean, if you drive into an area and the houses are kept up and there are nice cars in the driveways that's one thing, but if there's trash in all the yards and half the doors are hanging off their hinges that's another. There's some of both on the WS, and in some cases they're only a few blocks from each other. There aren't as many nice pockets on the NS, at least not that I've seen, and my job had required that I spend time on the ground in both.

To the OP: Just keep your wits about you, and if you're not comfortable when you get to an area, just leave (and, as a courtesy, tell the provider that you're not going to make it).
