Depending on the definition of liberal, MA is not liberal. The culture and government here is strict and traditional. From the restrictions (pre COVID) on live music in venues, late night laws, outdoor seating with stupid restrictions, and list goes on and on. Relaxing blue laws may be tough here since MA / Boston is anything but "relaxed".

Boston has become a giant pain in the ass for the hobby. Hotels for the ladies are too expensive for them to really profit. Rooms are ridiculously expensive. Most of those hotels it's free to park and way easier to get to. Traffic isn't nearly as bad either. Depends on the time of day but I can get to an appointment with a girl in let's say Waltham in about 30 minutes vs the hour or more in some cases it can take to get into Boston. Plus the time of the return trip home. For the ladies, they can still get the clients outside the city. A lot of companies have set up outside of Boston now.
