I don't think it's been seized by the government. Maybe by some ransomware or hacker. I've noticed individual ads redirecting for a few days. Go to BackPage, it still has the government seizure notice. This ain't that.

It's all part of the New World Order pushing us to a cashless society, they are systematically shutting down the parts of the internet that allow us to meet these providers. By the end of the year it will be illegal to post any ad offering any adult services.

    VPN Feedback. Many Thanks

Appreciate everyone taking the time to help a fella out. I consider myself more tech savvy than your average Joe, but a far cry from knowing enough to be a techie. Always saves time to listen to those who have something up and running.

A decent overview of this concept is presented here: https://restoreprivacy.com/5-eyes-9-eyes-14-eyes/. I recommend reading it.
Read the article and followed some the embedded links. VERY helpful. Before the reading I was going back and forth between ExpressVPN and privateinternetaccess, since both are well-reviewed, GoneforGood97 and WialdThang like enough to recommend and each allow payment using bitcoin (another anonymity feature I'm trying to integrate). I was leaning toward PIA because it was half the price, but after reading the Restore Privacy review https://restoreprivacy.com/private-internet-access/ I think I'll pass for now.

These pretty much all have TOR integrated as their default browser (I use TOR, and BRAVE on occasion).
I'm familiar with Tor, Tails, etc. And have a working setup I use on occasion. I say "on occasion" because it doesn't take long for the "less convenient" aspects of Tor to make me care less about privacy / anonymity. I wish it weren't so, but I'm American and ain't no changing the fundamentals.

I started out looking at a VPN not as a 1-stop solution, but another layer on top of Tor, burner phones, bitcoin, etc. I've got a little more research to do but at this point I think I'm going to go with a monthly contract with ExpressVPN or one of the others on the "outside 5 eyes" list. I'm also going to set up a Tails machine for those time when I want to double down.

Again, appreciate the help and I'll try to give back once I've got my setup going.

    O.
Use the same system tails when I order weed. I have been using Torguard lately, based out of the Ukraine so safe from the five eyes. Where you a intel guy? Don't see 5 eyes mentioned much.

I use Norton VPN, it's bundled with antivirus and lifelock for 99 a year, so basically 8 bucks a month you get a good bang for your buck.

Renting A Room Gets You an Extra Charge

A person having or exercising control over the use of any place or conveyance which would offer seclusion or shelter for the practice of prostitution knowingly grants or permits the use of such place for prostitution.
Therefore there are multiple elements to keeping a place of prostitution:
The defendant exercised control over the use of the location.
The house was maintained for the practice of prostitution.
Prostitution was practiced in the house.

That's why whenever a girl asks me to rent her a room I laugh quietly to myself and mention the keeping a place of prostitution angle. I'm pretty sure the chick says to herself "Damn this ain't his first rodeo".
Amen on the "no renting a room" approach. This article is from years ago but the law is the same and all it takes is some ambitious LE deciding to run the same ol' sting: https://www.foxnews.com/us/universit...on-charges.amp.

(see third paragraph: "According to the Athens Banner-Herald, "John" and the undercover officer came to an agreement to exchange 30 minutes of sexual service for $60. "John" is also charged with keeping a place of prostitution for renting a room at the (Ho-Tell) in Norcross, where he met the officer.".
