Posts: 278Sure enough, GDJ made his local community news report in JC since he is tied to the school system. This hobby has gotten too dangerous. The UTRs making ends meet during the recession have almost completely disappeared, nothing is left but the druggies.

I don't have a solid source to validate this or articles, just a friend that works in the hotel industry that has experienced and witnessed how the stings and busts work he said that as long as LEO has the Authorization From either the hotel owner or in most cases the hotel manager witch is the one in charge, that is enough green light to search any room in the building at any given time your privacy RIGHTS ONLY apply when you have the ownership of the Establishment being searched such as, they cannot search YOUR car or YOUR house without a warrant if they don't have your approval to do so and it makes sense why you think most johns get caught in the act? Cause LEO don't even knock on the door dude Obiesly if they did I wouldn't open it I would just act asleep or something LOL, manager opens the door for them or gives them a key and lets them in!

Posts: 507Can you provide a source for this? Most everything I read states that Uncle CANNOT search your room without consent or probable cause or it's a violation of your 4th Amendment rights. Even though it's a rented room, you are expected the same privacy rights as a rented house or apartment. If you have a source for the no-warrant search in hotel rooms I'd love to read it.

Certain exceptions allow for warrantless searches and seizures, including consent. In broad terms, the consent exception means that a party's agreement, actual or implied to a search and/or seizure renders a warrant unnecessary. In general, during a guest's stay at the hotel, only the guest may consent to a search of his or her room. While hotel staff members may access the room for cleaning and maintenance during the guest's stay, they are not authorized to allow police to enter the room. Thus, during a guest's tenancy at the hotel, employees should not allow police to enter the guest's room without a search warrant."
In other words, STFU, don't consent to searches, and tell Uncle to come back with a valid search warrant.
Still would love to see a counter argument JohnJohn. I'm not afraid to learn something.

Good observation there Brother, John went down along with her I don't necessary think it was a sting prolly the hotel manager saw too much activity and he could of made the call, they asked who was occupying the room and did a name research and since she has a long history of criminal activity they probably thought she was at it again and went after her, no need for search warrant as long as hotel manager agrees to search the room so if you get stock in one of these situations you are pretty much fucked, This is why I'm not a big fan of Hotel with walk trough lobbies trust me they do watch what's going on, I have a friend that works in the hotel industry and he said 95% percent of the times when there is a bust is cause someone called either the hotel manager or a room tenant next door that made the complain! I kinda feel sorry for the john he will have lots of explaining to do if he has a family.

I came up with my million dollar idea today. Escort Phone Charging. I don't know how often your phone is uncharged, but apparently, this is a real problem for escorts in the Triangle. I don't hobby as frequently as I used to. So, maybe, it stands out more to me. Today, I showed up for a scheduled appointment (Made the appointment on Tuesday) and confirmed this morning. Radio silence. I waited for a suitable amount of time, and returned to Raleigh, from Durham. Two hours later, she texted back with the dead phone excuse.
So, I go around and check on their phones, and charge them if they are dead. It will increase business for them, and increase their income. Sometimes, my genius scares me.

Posts: 507With the recent activity I've been wondering how this goes down. What probable cause could they have to go to her room and arrest her and her client? If she had an outstanding warrant I could see that, but it doesn't look like she does. Even if she did, if they didn't witness a transaction wht cause would they have to arrest the client? Unless he just doesn't know how to STFU except for one word: "attorney".

Since I didn't hear from anyone I decided to TOFTT. Cheap motel, uninspired performance, dog in the bathroom (and maybe someone else since you can't go in there with the dog), and dog urine smell in the room. I will not repeat.
