For a legit massage the place is fine. Was a waste of time for me and what I was looking for. I love a nice sensual massage and I need the finish to complete the overall experience or I just leave very frustrated. For legit place it's great deal and people will enjoy that. However I wonder if most mongers are like me and need that release. Not sure the place will make it. I won't return for sure.

P.S. There are other AMPs with reviews and discussions that are not far away from that area. With a little homework and driving an extra 5-10 minutes you would have avoided the frustration of dealing with an unreviewed legit spa.

P. P.S. One final thought is that it's important to remember that in a legit shop a therapist is jeopardizing her job if she gives extras. She may have a family to support and even if it doesn't seem like a big deal to the client to go "that little bit extra, " it's a big deal to her. So that's one more element of perspective to consider.

If I understood your post correctly, you paid $120 for the hour? I'm confused because the regular price at that place is $60 for the hour and $90 for 90 minutes. Did you get some kind of upsell? If so, how did that go down? Also, what made you think extras would be available? I've been several times for deep tissue massage and it was pretty clear to me that it's a legit shop. It is true that, if you happen to get a therapist who is comfortable with you, you may get some teasing but that's pretty much it. One strong indication for me that it's legit is because the entrance setup is wide open, without the vestibule and doorbell arrangement used by most HE AMPs.

I'm pretty sure there are no reviews on the oThER site, or discussions in this forum, because I would have noticed. So, just giving credit where due, IMHO it's not a waste of time if what you're looking for is a good deep tissue (legit) massage at a reasonable price (I pay $90 + $20 tip for 90 minutes). FWIW, in the absence of reviews or forum posts, I always assume a new AMP is legit. That way, if I TOFTT and all that happens is I get a good massage, I'm not disappointed. If something more happens, then that's pure icing on the cake.

I saw the strangest sight near the "Health Center" on Richmond Highway in Alexandria. Near Route 1, there was a man in black leaning against a telephone pole aiming binoculars in the general direction of the Health Center. Just a couple of points about your experience:

While it definitely sounds as if Amy is worth avoiding, I don't think it's technically correct to label her as an ROB. After all, she did provide the service and she didn't even haggle / upsell you beforehand. That being said, she was obviously unhappy with the tip amount and raised a stink, and that's absolutely not cool and no client should put up with that. IMHO, a true ROB is someone who takes the cash and provides nothing in return.

And that leads me to my second point, which is that it's very unlikely that Amy will be able to continue working at that AMP without a major attitude adjustment. My reasoning is simply that, just like you, there is no way any experienced AMP client is going to leave $120 as a tip for standard or even enhanced NOVA finish. Which means that each time a client tries to leave the typical $40-$60 tip, she's going to create a scene like she did with you. But that can only go on for so long before it generates an adverse reaction by MMS or the owner, because they don't want to have any problems and there's always a chance that a client, who doesn't handle the situation in as gentlemanly a manner as you did, may create an even bigger scene.

So it wouldn't surprise me if the next time you called you found out that Amy was no longer there. But, even if she is, now that you know the drill, all you need to do is tell MMS that you don't want Amy as your therapist. If she asks why (although of course she already knows this) just tell her the truth, namely that Amy overcharges and you don't appreciate her attitude.

FWIW, even the best AMP sometimes gets a bad apple, but the other masseuses may still be worth your time. If you do decided to visit again, let us know if Amy is still around or she's been shown the door.

Stop by See and See off of Grant in Hurrrrrdone. I got the manager (I think her name is Kim) who was the only one working. Some mongers think she's frumpy but I find her to be ok, looks wise, but most importantly, she doesn't hustle you for a tip and is playful.
