If someone is saying they're a hitman, they're full of shit. This is a clumsy extortion attempt. I'd ignore and lose the number, as other's have recommended. Whoever is texting you is hoping that by scaring you, you'll respond, send money or somehow allow them to identify you.

This has happened to me. The exact same thing. I ignored it and nothing has happened to me or my family. I think you're good if its just text and phone calls. If its anything more than that. Call the cops. This hobby isn't worth putting loved ones in danger.

Hopefully you used a burner or app with a fake number. I couldn't imagine a threat like that on my family. But if you used a burner and they haven't started any actual personal info you're fine. Even if they had your info I doubt they'd act on the threats. They probably threaten 10's of people daily for Bitcoin or a wire transfer.
