If you walk around Philly outside of the designated tourist areas and you look like a tourist or a victim, trouble will find you. Have a purpose to where you are going, look forward, but "see" everything around you. Show respect to the natives and by all means NEVER display any FEAR as that will be like blood in the water.

I think that is what OP means when they say the have lived here a long time. I can be done, but you have to adapt to the surroundings.

I wouldn't feel too much apprehension walking there, but I also lived in Philly for a long time, and might not be "normal" in how I view things like that.

There is a Susen Spa, I never been there but this prices is not true.
