    This site

This is to express my hope that this board can become as useful in Philly as it is in many other cities.

Our options for reviews and helping each other out have been drastically reduced.

For those who are unfamiliar with what I mean, look at some of the other areas on this board to get an idea. I guess it's largely a matter of increasing the number of people here.

Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.
As much as I admire you two senior members, 'OL Gator and David 1965, I beg to differ.

You are both wrong. While it may not happen often, never the less, it does happen. I like to think of myself as an eternal pessimist. I have seen more things go wrong more often than they go right. Yet! One of the few things that I have learned during my short life is, to never say never. As a young man, I viewed the world through rose colored glasses. I was much younger then, then I am now. Now, I see things as they really are. The truth is, "Shit happens. " Bad shit happens and good shit happens. I don't control the shit, you don't control the shit. It just happens.

Over the years I have photographed and got to know many, many a young lady. Some of the girls I have known were worth saving and some were not. I am not a savior and I am not in the saving business, so I know I cannot save anybody. Some of these girls will never be seen again, for various reasons. Some were saved by family or friends. They went back to a life before drugs and Kensington Avenue. Others saved themselves and went on to make a life away from drugs and Kensington Avenue. Some may have been saved by some do-gooder or group of do-gooders, who knows and who cares really. And, there are those that will sadly never be seen again...anywhere.

Not all of them will make it out the way some of us would like to have them make it out. No! They usually don't get out of rehab and join-up with the guy who saved them. If you think about it, that makes sense and that's the way it should be. If you couldn't get the hot cheerleader, when she was clean and before she got hooked, if she didn't want you then what makes you think she'll want you after rehab, now that she's drug free again? And! Here is the real kicker. You probably would not want her anyway. After rehab, they usually get fat. Like everyone else, they grow old and the bloom leaves the rose. After rehab is when you find out that they cannot cook, clean house or do most of the other chores that older, more developed men need. They are young and over time they may eventually learn, but the truth is, at my age, I don't have time to be teaching anybody shit. I have raised all the kids I am going to raise. What about the sex? That where it started, right? With sex! Anyone who has been married, in a commented relationship or moved-in with a lover will tell you, the sex is never the same afterwards. That thing you really liked, that she did; after rehab and once she has to do it not for money but because you want it; does not happen. That thing that you could get for $20, just by driving down to Kensington Avenue and finding her...now, after rehab you've got to beg for it. Trust me fellows, after rehab, you are better off letting her find someone her own age to grow up with.

That does not say that good things cannot happen. I know of at least one couple. She is a former drug user and hooker. I know because back then, I fucked her. She is forty-five, with three grown kids. He is a retired gentleman, in his seventies. She cooks, cleans and takes care of him. He provides the roof over their heads, food for the table and cable TV. She's been through menopause, I doubt if she's fucking anybody. He is happy not to have to live alone. So, don't tell me it doesn't happen, because it does and I've seen it.

Sometimes, because we think ourselves high and mighty, because we have more and never had their problems, we forget that the sun does not come up in the morning because of our asses. We think that because we are so high and mighty, so successful in our chosen fields, we think that they can only be saved if we save them. A few years back, I ran into a girl who I had photographed a few times in Dennis's dump. She was working in a fast food place and I didn't recognize her at first. She came from behind the counter, walked to my table and said, "Hi Cooky. " It took a while before I recognized her, all cleaned-up. We talked for 3 or 4 minutes, not long. I was a little embarrassed; I didn't know what to say. I didn't think she wanted to talk about the good olds when she fucked for money. The jest of our conversation was. She got tired. She had got tired of living on the street, got herself clean and was now assistant manager. Apparently, she had done it by herself and for herself. I think she was kind of glad to see me, she just wanted someone from her past to know where she was now.

Up the street, from my place in Germantown, there lives a young girl with her family, who would love it if I'd let her move in with me. In her late twenties and early thirties she was on crack. I knew her father well, before he died. Back then, late at night whenever she saw my car parked outside, she would come a knocking. She gave a really good BBBJ. She is in her forties, probably closer to fifty now. A couple of years ago I stopped by and helped her celebrate 10 years of sobriety. She's put on a lot of weight, has a big ass, works every day, attends meetings regularly and drives a new Ford. She's a nice girl, but I don't want her. I would rather remember her the way she was when she was thin, freaky and sucked a dick like her life depended on it. I respected her then and I respect her even more now, after what she's been through and for what she has made of the rest of her life.

I don't judge. I give respect, where respect is due. I have seen the mighty fall and the fallen rise. I don't care who you are, how hard you work and how much you have, there is always some asshole out there who thinks that because they are who they are, because they think they work harder than you, that they deserve more than you and they think that they are smarter and better and therefore are more worthy then you. The world is full of assholes.

It's like that 'Ol Gator said, ". Just another ride on the carousel. " Or! As we did say, back in my day, "That's life in the big city. ".

That my 2 cents and I stand by it.

Oh! And! One more thing! It takes a loser to know a loser.

For as long as they been addicted a very high percentage of them have never been with a stable guy. A guy with a home, car, food, and the ever elusive thing us regular guys know as a job. They truly wouldn't know how to act in any relationship other than one that is drug related.

Here's an interesting tidbit. I have been in situations, as have most of us, where after all the playtime on occasion I have been able to "relax" before heading back to the hood. So I always allow the girl to choose the programing on the tv if we are going to be an extended amount of time. 99% of the time they never choose a good comedian stage show like Carlin or Ali Wong or Chris Rock or maybe a great action / adventure. They head right for Drug inc, or something about Escobar or other Cartel related show. They know nothing else. They eat, shit, sleep, live and die nothing but drugs. I don't know how many times I have been introduced to an acquaintance of theirs as a "friend" they met in rehab. Those words sound remotely familiar to anyone on this forum? Which in itself tells me they never want to get completely away from it all. They cannot live in reality the way it truly exists. The normalcy drives them bonkers. They would not be at all comfortable in any other situation. They never leave it completely and it never leaves them. I don't know one of them that could get up at 5 am and head to a real job without first stopping at Kip and Cambria. That is a very sad existence.

If any of us went to a rehab for any serious length of time, when we returned to society, how many of us could seriously find someone there, male or female, we would be willing to call a friend? How may of us would be willing to build a life long relationship with someone we met at a rehab fighting addiction?

I know guys in this forum that find a girl addicted and they fall ass over teakettle in love with them. One in particular, I won't mention names, that cashed in his retirement account to fund a girls crack and dope habit while they lived at a fleabag motel. She even had him begging for pussy. Now if I'm begging for pussy, I'll be damned if its going to be used pussy. Needless to say when the funding ran out so did the girl. I always see her out there to this day.

So Davey you are completely correct about the long term relationships. They are a longshot so far into the dark one would need a flash light and a compas to find out if you hit anything.

So here we play in this world of uncertainties. The only thing that has any amount of certainty is that nothing is certain. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.
A street Hoe since early age whether or not they have been rehabilitated (rehab) is a loser. I can't understand what kind of male could even consider the SW a Non-loser. I feel it is 2 peas in a pod, loser meets loser. Protecting the SW will only bring them down and NOT let them see they are super-duper loser's more than their peers. I am curious on what makes men on the forum believe the Kenso SW's are winners? Marriage/girlfriend with a hoe/ex hoe is never successful. Your can't make a hoe a winner!!!

    Quick note to A2

Just a quick note here regarding the "BROKE STUFF" link above. The photo gallery pics are not visible when clicking the tab..

Another important issue is many of the members I spoke with had no clue as to what the site address is until I gave it to them. I'm sure there are a lot of people that don't even know the site is up and running again. I'm not sure how you can get that out there to them short of emailing them at their private email box. Wishing you the best in your new digs.

Friendships, bridges, other oddities and curiosities in Kensington

Jess had been staying under the bridge at Kensington and Lehigh until recently. She's now residing in the shopping district with an acquaintance of mine. Told me she's ready to get away from the street life. She's a great girl but lets wait and see. The odds are against her.

Vanessa has been a member of the Emerald City " Ball and Racquet " club for a good while now. The rent is low and it's always like a Middle East Bazaar there any and every hour of the day.

Both spots are a congregating spot for those that tend to lose their "friends". Which BTW Kensington has none. Just a fact addicts don't understand. For those that have difficulty with neck shots the bridges are the place to fix that lost art of getting wasted.

It's an interesting freak show driving or strolling there, if one dares to do that activity. The activities among others include the locals skitzing out, fishing out, bumming out, going out, staying out, shooting up, and generally going nutso without regard for children that may be in the area.

There could be any number of O. D. Cases there at any time of day or night. I've seen zombies literally climbing wall without a ladder. Others dancing the night away, lovers under a moonlit night.

It's most definitely a three ring circus there. You are encouraged to bring your own cotton candy and peanuts but not a requirement to gain entrance to the show. It's a twenty four hour show and that's a fact.

There's always an occasional fight over who stole what from the person next to them while the other slept in their drug induced stupor.

That always puzzles me. Someone tells me they got "robbed" while they slept, under a bridge in Kensington, no less. Slept? They knocked themselves out with enough drugs to kill the average Gorilla and they call it sleeping? Trusting all the noble souls around them not to touch a thing. Is that really an unexpected event. Its not a church atmosphere there. Even though some wear a rosary like its jewelry instead of prayer beads.

Not sure what they expect when they mainline garbage so far into their veins it makes them so stupid they can't remember their first name. Then they question who the hell in that den of thieves would do such a thing. That's confusing for them at best.

Still they continue to do the same thing that got them into that mess hour after hour, day after day, and so on. Now, it seems to me when one steps in shit they really shouldn't use shitty paper towels to try and wipe it off. The end result is obvious. The smell does and will linger.

They are all "going to get clean". The key words are "going to". Very few actually complete the task. I spoke with a girl a while back that was telling me how "so over the life of prostitution and drugs" she was. Finally, after many years, she was actually going to rehab. She got a bed at Valley Forge Medical Center. She seemed excited to go for the 13th time and give it another shot and put the crazy confusing life behind her for good. Couldn't be any worse than the last 12 times now could it.

I would drive out to see her a few times a week. She asked me to attend a few meetings where they take a bunch of junkies stick them all in a room together and they discus where the best blocks to cop in Philly are. Hmmmm. I immediately noticed something wrong with the pixels in that picture. Makes one wonder what their goals might be when they finish "Rehab". That in itself is another story for another time.

I decided to accompany her to a meeting. I instantly began to get the feeling I had been transported to Alice's Restaurant at thanksgiving.

Everyone's thinking they did the right thing, at the right time in their life, went to the right place, for all the right reasons with the right people. After all they were friends. RIGHT? Had the same problems. From the same neighborhood. Under the same bridge in Kensington. Great big support group. Only thing lacking there seems to be common sense. They have plenty of peer pressure. Just the wrong kind.

Now, here's the kicker. The girl asked me to get her some socks, an alarm clock radio, underwear, and a lot of other personal items of necessity she needed for rehabilitation. I'm a trusting / naive 'Ol soul and thought, why not? She deservers to fit in as much as anyone.

You would be surprised the looks a guy gets while shopping for pink panties and a matching bra. Still I got her the things she requested.

I might mention I happened to know a few of the people on retreat there at that specific time. A couple I had a close relationship to for longer period than I care to remember. They informed me in the strictest.

Confidence all the items I got for the girl in recovery she sold for, that's right, DRUGS. And she was tricking there to help fund the habit she went there to kick. Hmmmmm. Drugs at the rehab. Now what could be better than that? A junkies paradise. Needless to say I never funded another troubled junkie in rehab again. To this very day I refuse to do it.

That takes us back to the bridge in Kensington. The place where friendships are made and destroyed all in the same day. Rents are low. Just no palm trees or rose gardens or white picket fence. There are blankets connecting the pillars for privacy. Trash is collected weekly. The other six days it looks like a third world country. Free food from the concerned residents in the area. But to many that's home.

After rehab that's where many wind back up. Kind of like getting on the down elevator and wondering why you can't get to the observation deck. Makes me wonder if the rehab is. How to Adjust to Life Under the Bridges in Kensington 101. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

Escort Babylon / cheeposlist / independent

Spoke to a few girls today, giving them the heads up about the classifieds here. A little info that seems it may be true: the sites have become available on my mobile browser, but for some reason I can't get them through the fins connection at my home or warehouse. A few girls have been renewing their ads directly with EB, where before these sites just mirrored whatever backpage published. Currently, there is a large banner stating asking you to click if you are / aren't American, but if you click "are not American" the site opens fine and has current ads. I am ASSuming that they have offices and servers off shore, or they have worked out a legal work around to the new legislation. Or, it may be gone tomorrow.

But, for tonight enjoy! If it won't open on your laptop, try some sort of ATT / Verizon / Tmobile mobile connection.

    Epm.

    Hi guys,

Called the little flower and setup a modeling session with Sugar.

Super sweet with zero calories. She was at EPM before using a different name. I have no idea why she changed her name but she was very popular.

Also I happened to find a tumbler link with some pics.

I was hoping to get a massage today. Do you guys think it's safe or do you think there is now an increased risk?
