I was talking with an Iraqi Veteran earlier today. He was missing most of his right arm and leg, and digits off of his left hand. As an amputee with prosthetics he may be able to go on and make a good life for himself. But! He will never be able to go back and undo his first big mistake, one I am sure he has thought about many times. He will never be able to take back or undo his decision to join the service.
I also saw the girl we call Maylea, tonight. Shaking, trembling and tweaking, with both of her hands burned and scarred; the results of an accident while taking a hit. I am sure that Maylea, like the veteran I meant earlier, thinks about what if, a lot. What if she could go back and undo that bad decision she made to take that first hit. But, she cannot. And! A great friend once explained it to me quite simply. He said if someone degrades another in your presence then he will degrade you behind your back. That is so very true. People become callous and so removed from a particular situation they forget they are an integral part of the issue them selves. They then tend to look down on what it is they are doing and try to justify their thoughts and actions by looking down on others. That does not rectify nor make the reality in itself go away.
We are all a part of the machinery that turns the wheels of the Ave. Every time we pick a woman up we are the cog that turns the wheel at the dealers corner, at the corner that sells the works, etc. Right to the grocery that the addict gets the water for the shot. Where on the ladder of life does that put us? Above or below those we tend to look down upon and still patronize?

During the act he felt, because of the exchange, that she literally was his to do with as he pleased. Even hurt her physically. Now I ask, who is the low life here? Knowing this girl personally, I would say the piece of shit is the guy who's mind is so fogged as to his station in life he needs daylight pumped in just to find his way around. There are a few of those who feel this way. It's pretty sad. To me it just explains very clearly why he doesn't have a woman and will never have one unless he pay's for it. Monetary exchange for whatever purpose does not give anybody ownership of another. Being the little fart in the breeze does not make one King Shit on Turd Island. So when we voice our opinions about those we deal with in life, lets be kind and understand there are reasons people do what they do to survive.
