Appreciate your suggestions!
Thanks.
Use the App, NOT to the reply to.
Can you clarify one thing about GV? I have been using it recently on my Android phone, I like it fine. I gave the GV # to a POT, and she decides to call me. I was busy so I didn't answer, then responded with a text. However, the incoming call and the outgoing text were on my burner #, not my GV #. It's not a big deal, she's a nice lady, I don't feel any threat. However, for those of you who use GV on your personal phone to keep safe (say from a SO, avoiding the existence of a burner), I can see this could be a problem. I would prefer everything go through GV now that I have it. Please tell me what I have done wrong with my settings, or is this 'normal operation'?
Yeah, I hear you. Common "bug" with GV as it were. Had a buddy do something similar and ended up calling the girl back on his regular phone (I. E. NOT layered GV on burner) and she got his real number. That was fine as she was cool, except for the fact that SB called real number while his SO was borrowing his phone!
The thing you need to do with GV is make sure you are in the app when you initiate any calls or texts. Oh sure, the real number comes into your burner phone or real phone and the phone always asks you if you wish to return the call. But that is NOT the app asking! I think if one looks closely they will see the VERY subtle difference. So you have to step away from that message and back into the app.
Fake addresses do not work
Saw somewhere someone said they got OneVanilla Visa to work in the last week. Last time I got rejected initially, but then changed the registration info on the card to an actual generic address instead of the fake I was using, and then it took it.
I have been rejected for using a fake address too. Vanilla one cards and a $500 gift card I received for a sales contest. The $500 card is on hold (pfraud is the actual status). They have been holding $350 of my money for 6 months now and I have been fighting with their customer service team in India for 3 months. I finally gave in and gave them a copy of my drivers license, actual address and real name. It goes against all my rules but $350 is a fair chunk of change. It's still not resolved even after doing all of that.
Their software could not verify the address (an actual address) with my fake name so they just shut the card down. On the upside, I get to speak to someone in Delhi a few times a month.
Do you have a # for them?

Are they pyshing here or are they in cahoots with these vermin?
